my high school women's choir is singing this and im pretty sure you guys did better than we ever will.....

We're doing this song for our after-school female choir. Out of all the songs we've looked at since our December concert, this is my favorite.

You've done a wonderful job at singing this song, but a few good points for you to work on would definitely be your vowels. Open your mouth a little wider to make the sound more mature, and use crescendos and decrescendos to the point of almost over exaggeration. Other than that, you did a beautiful job, and I enjoyed hearing you!

Oh gosh, that first 'Moriah!' always killed me. ;D

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it right. My voice cracked and I would go off-tune. D:

Yes, this is Ms. Williams almost 2 years ago. This is the first time they performed this song after only a couple weeks of review.

Their TMEA performance was breath taking in the spring.

I remember this song! I sang it in middle school (I'm in college now). I always remembered "Moriah" being a name for wind because of this song. Good times.

It's a little faster that I'm used to, but its still good. Maybe stretch your vowels, start soft on each verse, steadily getting louder. My Choir teacher is constantly ramming on us, and it makes us better. 1 Sopranos, you were AWESOME, Seconds and Altos, maybe a bit more. (If you have three parts.)

This song is so amazing. We, too, are singing this in my choir. I am glad that I get the chance to sing such a beautiful piece. As for your performance, I had a chance to see this same choir's future peformance on a DVD. They sang it wonderfully both times, and for that, I applaud you. I love listening to this song so much. i'm probably the only guy thats commented on this but i have to say this is one of the most beautiful things ive had the luck to listen to live. my school does an amazing rendition of this, but ive found that we take it a lot slower than anything ive seen it. either way, it is very moving.

No, this is Henry Middle School in Texas. This Honor Choir was made up of 7th and 8th grade girls who performed this song later at TMEA in San Antonio.

omg we sang this song for our 7th grade chorus concert!! i was second saprano i absolutely love this song it is my favorite song we sang our chorus teacher said that she never had a chorus as great as us she started crying at the end of the song when we sang it but i love this song

This song means so much to me. It was written for my mom, who was a music teacher at Montclair elementary in Nebraska. I'm so glad that it has become widley known, Dr. Stroope really did a wonderful job of conveying the message that we wanted to say. I don't remember much about her, but this song brings me back to our time together.

ahh. the poet sings. I have to sing that freakish high note at the end. i don't get it. when we sing it meaning the whole thing, it sometimes gets hard to sing that note. but whenver i sing that note randomly, its a piece of cake. i can sing so much higher than it. :P other than that, they sing it really good. :)
