This is by far my favorite version on YouTube of this song. Thanks so much, I originally heard it in a play called Holy Ghosts. God bless you all. Have you ever thought of performing "A Wonderful Time Up There" in your shows?
Lovely. I love this vocal version and then the addition of the strings later on. We do an accordion duet version of this lovely tune! Thanks for sharing this video with us abroad! Bob and Hec.
Jean is a wonderful person who's story I have heard all my life. I never knew she was a celebrity until I was in my early 20's. She was just someone that we talked about who sang coal songs and was from Viper. Thank you for posting these gems!
This is a wonderful song! I really enjoyed it. I went to hear Jean sing in a small place in Berkeley CA maybe 30 years or so ago. It was a wonderful show. I bought one of her records and when my son was born 21 years ago, I sang him a lot of songs off that record. His favorite was I see the Moon. Now I'm trying to learn songs from "Folk Songs of the Southern Appalachians." Thank you so much for posting so many videos of your family singing.
