Not a bad overview, but you missed some KEY issues. You made no mention of filter BYPASS. The fact is, the more efficient the higher the MERV the greater the effect of BYPASS. Bypass is the small gaps around the filter when it is installed that, when present, will drop your MERV significantly. Also, HEPA is not the best. There ULPA and Super ULPA. Also, not every home can take a HEPA. Filter and Fan Size are KEY restriction. There's more ... but I've run out of characters to type. Tom O.
