  • could you use this bow for target shooting?

  • Sure, there is less of a need for the 90% let-off in a target situation but this bow shoots well enough for targets.

  • What grain of arrow are you shooting?

  • 400 grain Victory Arrow

  • I wouldn't advise completely letting go of the riser on any bow at full draw ;-) Ouch!

You may be thinking of another product. The cam design allows for the let-off at full draw to be a full 99% but only at full draw. Once you move the string forward (on the shot or on let-down)it returns to normal max holding weight like every other bow.

  • @heritagehunters If the bow (riser) weighs more than the holding weight you should be able to aim the bow straight down and let go of the riser at full draw because the pull of gravity on the riser is greater than the weight you are holding at full draw. A little science: draw weight is 70 lbs - 99% let-off = 11.2 ounces of holding weight. If the bow weighs more than 11.2 ounces (which it does) the weight of the riser can hold the bow at full draw if it is "hung" straight down.

  • @jwb3569 I have one of these and you can actually do that. Ya gotta have a few beers in ya before trying it, though. 99% let off is great till you have to let off without shooting, it's a scary deal.

  • is it possible to draw the bow then point it toward the ground and completely let go of the riser to deomonstrate the let off. i heard of someone doing this with that bow.

  • The bow in the video was set at 70 lbs

  • how many pounds was the bow set at?
