And many Arab citizens of Israeli (particularly from the Druz, who are drafted, and Bedouin, who volunteer) join and fight with the Israeli army. Israel/Palestine has been conquered so many times in the last 2 millenia that its rediculuous to begin assigning legal rights to land. Israel conqeured the west bank in 1967 against an Arab coalition trying to destroy it. You're assigning a modern legal system (still in its infancy) to a land which has a deep history that predates modern international law.

Gaza wasn't blockaded until Hamas(a Terrorist group) took over and commenced daily bombardments of Israel. That means their blockade is very discriminating. I am an arab and I hope Israel destroys Hamas, not the palestinian people. I also hope Fatah takes control of Gaza. I think the biggest mistake was not to cooporate with Fatah. Think about it: once Hamas is destroyed there could be a political vacuum which another terrorist organisation takes over, like in Iraq 2003. The israelis should have cooporated with Fatah so that they could make room for Fatah to go in and take control.

I know many Arab Muslims who do support Israel in this conflict, in fact the IDF has Arab Muslim fighters in its ranks--so why should it be impossible to believe that an Arab Muslim from Morocco can think for himself and side with Israel in this conflict?

Yeah, actually all of Israel's successes in intelligence are due in large part to the collaboration and help from Arabs. But guess what--a lot of them help Israel because they are sick, sick, sick of Hamas. Fatah is no lover of Israel, but they remember what Hamas did to them 2 years ago! Many people in Gaza are also sick of Hamas telling them how to live their lives, in terms of how they observe their religion. The latter is same reason so many Sunni tribals in Iraq cooperate with the USA.

Israel coerce them..be it a work permit, health care for relative, travel abroad, money...etc. When your enemy stand every corner of your house...and you need his permission for every movement you make....then you already set for such coercision . The weak and faithless are the ones that first give up the fight...in return for something. These people are by nature weak.... That is why Fatah have most such people.

Yes, you are right that many Arabs who help Israel in the territories do so because they have been coerced. But many others do so out of pure conviction. And many Arab citizens of Israeli (particularly from the Druz, who are drafted, and Bedouin, who volunteer) join and fight with the Israeli army. I personally know Muslim & Christian Arab citizens of Israel who voluntarily serve in the IDF--because they are good, patriotic Israeli citizens. Deal with it.

True, Bedouin, Druz serve the IDF and they seem to be loyal to the state for obvious reasons. Druz's practice faith that closely associated with Islam but most muslims reject it. So no wonder they jump to the other side for belonging...it is aslo the same in Lebanese Druz. Bedouins, are like Gurkas in the Royal British Army. They break their back for you..for no reason...faith or ideology. They have no issue...even if their Bedouin territory are turned to IDF Military bases.

I think Druze just respect strength and that they are loyal to the government of the state where they reside. Syrian Druze are intensely loyal to the Syrian state. In a way all Druze are loyal to other Druze first. If Israel acts weak--its Druze citizens will abandon her.

No buddy, Zionism is a secular movement while Neturei Karta is a religious group. One follow their own ideology while the other follow the word of God. Jews were forbidden by God to have their own state, as they are people in exile. They are commanded to live among nation until Mesiah comes to earth (Jews's first coming, while Christians and Muslims see as second coming). There are both religious and secular Zionists. Neturei Karta has a minority opinion in Jewish thought that Jews are forbidden by our religion to have a state until the Messiah comes. Listen mate, I'm not offended, I'm much more thick-skinned than that! What you stated is more or less an accurate summary of NK's theological position--no argument. Be that as it may, it's a minority opinion within Judaism. But I'm curious as to what qualifies you, as a non-Jew (I assume), to judge whether NK's minority religious opinion is THE legitimate opinion within the Jewish faith? Moreover, my take on NK is that they are inherently Zionist, although they'd never admit it!

The truth is Abbas is rooting for Israel (so are most of the Arab governments--except Syria), but they just don't want to look like they are supporting Israel too much. Abbas wants Israeli soldiers to die kicking out the Hamas in Gaza, and then his Fatah men can take over afterwards--and it won't look like they cooperated and fought with the Zionists.

Yes, but they can't be seen to be supporting Israel--especially if Israel kills many civilians, accidentally or not (like at Kafr Qanna in Lebanon in 2006). If they outwardly support Israel, they'll have the Islamists fomenting revolution faster.

I fear in many ways it's a no-win situation for Israel. Basically, the first aim is to end rocket attacks on their towns-it would be good if they could get rid of Hamas, but it's hard to achieve. And despite the screaming on the Arab street and from the leftists in Europe, civilian casualties have been relatively low, but if one misfired shell kills 100 Arab kids in one blow, Israel will be pressured to end the operation.
