one question: in heartgold and soulsilver, is it possible to clone pokemon from these games like you could in the origional gold and silver?

I would highly doubt it as it was just a glitch in previous games and it was removed in later games so I would say no.

You could get Articuno in it. You may be able to catch it, it is unknown at the moment. You could always trade it from D/Pe/Pl.
