How To Find The Super Emeralds

So wait, you only to find the rings to get super emeralds, as opposed to having to do the stages or did you just edit those levels out? Also, I'm guessing this will work for the Virtual Console version? (I have Sonic 3, but plan to get S&K soon.)

@Shadowchao11 They come with Tails' super powers. They can actually attack enemies and even do damage to Eggman in the boss fights. When Tails returns to normal, the birds leave.

Actually, you can get all 7 Super Emeralds in Mushroom Hill, granted you play as Tails and don't mind a lot of exploring. I've only done it once myself, but it can be done.

@PhoenixSaturn Yeah, I had a feeling about that but as I said in my description, I find that the emerald locations in Mushroom Hill are the toughest to find.

i know a different way

finish whole game

go on zone 1 special stage and win and restart(till 7 emeralds

go to mushroom hill and go in the the ss ring where knux shows up(win and restart till all SE)

and there we go

@chobots73 Yup, that's what I usually do. I finish the game with the Chaos Emeralds and then come back to get the Super ones. It is a nifty trick.

It is easy to find in S3&K but in S&K it is a bit harder. But it is near the beginning of the level, that much I remember.

Yep. Want it the easy way? go to angel island zone and go to one of the first vines that you hang on. press up up up, down down down, left left left, right right right, up up up, then you hear the noise of a ring. if you have a gamecube, press start and prees a. if you have a genesis, pause and press b. Now you are at the menu. Just press up on the control pad until you see "sound test". Now, pick the mushroom hill level.

Returning from my last comment, Supersonicfreak123, Go to one of the pulleys, and press the same buttons as you had to do on the vine. NOW go to the sound test, pick a level, hold A and B while picking the level, and now you have debug mode! Press b on a genesis controller (a on GC) and you can make items! press a (genesis) or B (GC) to change. look for the TV that has an H on it. Press A to become normal, and jump on it. ;) Have fun!

It is easier to do than to explain, but the trick is to look where you normally would have no need to look. Sometimes it catches your eye and other times you have to go off the beaten path to find it.

It's harder to find the emeralds in Sonic and Knuckles than in Sonic 3. I had a feeling there may be more than the ones I found but I don't know where to find them.

Mushroom hill act 1 has total 4 emeralds but act 2 for sonic and tails has 4, for knuckles it will be 6 emeralds in act 2

Ha, in the Lava Reef, first act, right before the first ring you grab, there is another one to the left through the wall, directly after you use the spin dash elevator.

There are a total of 7 emeralds. What I was showing you was where you can find them. I did that because the special stages are a little harder than the ones in Sonic 3. So, if you fail to get an emerald in a special stage you would know where to find more chances to get it.
