  • I don't know why, but out if all the games, Silent Hill 2 seems the most personal, and as I played I felt the same kind of desperation that James felt. All the other games seem to mostly focus on the Order, while the second one was all about James and his mind. Thats just my thoughts. Also I loved this remix so much, it is beautiful.

  • To be perfectly honest, this version is actually much more poignant and masterful than the original. Looked all over the net for this after years of having lost it. Even thought it was on the original soundtrack. Hehe Glad OC Remix has uploaded its stuff on yt.

  • There was a negative comment here...

    Now it's gone.

  • g00d 2 cya again :)

  • Silent Hill is my obsession

  • “There was a heart here. It’s been ripped out of my chest. It’s gone now.”

  • There was a DISLIKE here.

    It's gone now.

  • so epic! why wasnt this on the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack with True?!

    amazing!

  • Oh my Gosh...

This is so beautiful. Silent Hill is really for Lovers.

The Music is epic...awesome... I can't find the right words to describe it ._.

  • There is a hole, drilled in my heart by the emotional power of Silent Hill

  • Greatest one out of the whole series.

  • Really well done and I love how loyal it is to the original songs/series. :D

  • Cool one

  • It's a mix of SH2's True and The Exorcist theme. They blend seamlessly together. Creepy.

  • @mewletter I actually believe it is not the Exorcist but the fast piano part from True remixed a little bit. I dunno for sure though.

  • @NemesisProducts nowhere near the Exorcist theme. but all the above good songs!

  • OMG this song i was looking for so long but i love the original better played with a string insturment

  • the only way the message in the bar makes sense, is if it's referring to the "holes" in the roads that create dead-ends. the town can change, there used to be a hole there.

it couldnt be talking about the holes that appear in SH4 The Room, because SH2 was released in 2001 and SH4 was released in 2004, they didn't make that part of the story for another 3 years lol

  • @GR4V17 They very well could be. Don't underestimate the script writers.

For example, the crimes and suicide of Walter Sullivan, the antagonist of SH4, are described in detail in memos in SH2.

  • @ajarofdirt

In all honesty, I highly doubt it. Silent Hill 4: The Room wasn't even intended to be a Silent Hill game, it was supposed to be a completely different game, but they added in a few SH references at the last minute and tacked on the Silent Hill portion to boost sales of the title.

  • @SuperhumanChichi Yeah, much more likely that they took that note and character names--Walter Sullivan, plus the murders described in the article, and the Sunderland landlord--when they were altering The Room to be in the franchise. I actually think this "hole" memo was a reference to the first game. Wasn't it in that bar and through that very window the first "pterodactyl" crashed through after Harry found the radio?

  • @portal1337 Yeah its in Silent Hill 2. I think its right after you go inside the RV in the early parts of the game and you inspect the map and it marks a circle around a liquor bar area. You go inside there and there will be a window that has "There was a hole here. Its gone now." or something along those lines.

  • @juniorxx2 That's absolutely correct. I just double-checked it. I was told it has to do with the fourth game and that creepy hole in your bathroom. :P

  • I know some ppl will start going against this comment, but I like it when I play MW2 or Halo online while listening to this at the same time.

  • @Armsman101 Yes! That is the complete defilement of this pice of art!

  • @MrCrovax999 Oh shut up. It's background music for a horror game. It's not exactly Beethoven, no matter how well done.

  • I think this is really one of the most beautiful soundtracks made by akira..in my opinion his soundtracks help create alot of emotion in you..and also this reminds me of the bravery of james in the game..james lives on. No one can replace the songs made by akira.

  • Oh wow! I totally agree with JeffMkII! The original version of "true" is very beautiful but this gives me "chill" because of it's beauty!

    Very great remix, really!

  • ta guena

  • it's gone now.

  • There was a hole here... Now is in Silent hill 4... duh.. xD

  • This has to be in my top 5 fan arrangements. It's better than the already beautiful original.

  • the first part starts off like "true"

  • @XVsiLEnT i believe its just another variation of the song true. if i recall correctly, they added a few more notes to the song "true" and this is what they got; "there was a hole here".

sounds indeed similar doesnt it lol :)

  • There was a hole here; Its gone now...

  • it was a hole here

    but i stole it :D

  • Hauntingly beautiful masterpiece
