  • as greene describes how the laws of nature would be very different if it were quantum on our macro scale...a pretty girl sits down next to a physicist at a bar. Yep, that's different all right!

  • 6:00 lol @ the juice not filling the glass

  • Einstein's two postulates:

    1. All laws of nature are the same in all uniformly moving frames of reference

    2. The speed of light in free space has the same measured value for all observers, regardless of the motion of the source or the motion of the observer.

  • Hey what are two things that affect time? That would be acceleration and relative motion.

  • @carlgrimmmtk space and matter

  • @feijaiming What donkey?!

  • Lol there's a possibility of getting an orange juice in the quantum world... lol cuz when I ask for one in this world that bitch DOES IT! lmfao

  • CERN just ruined Einstein...

  • Anyone notice how the only time you see a woman in this video is as a sexed up bartender? Come on, you guys are better than this.

  • Here's the fun thing you get from this: since on the small scale you can only predict the probability of something happening, events on the large scale are determined by statistical bell curves and whatnot.

The only thing stopping you from falling through the floor or spontaneously exploding is the part of math that laymen don't pretend to understand and even most mathematicians hate with a passion.

  • So there is a chance, that when I die, I might come back again to an almost similar world, through an almost similar 'time', and do almost the same things?

    Sweeeet! :3

  • I know this is serious business, but man... THAT ASS! 5:17 ^.^ OOOOohhhh!

  • i just got mind fucked

  • I wonder, who's the one who keeps voting down these videos?

I'm not criticizing him, I'm just curious.

  • check out the 5-dimensional booty at 5:45. That's what I call Mmmmmm theory.

  • thumbs up if you tried to go through a wall after you watched this

  • I want an orange juice, and you get bleach! sounds awesome!

  • i know where the quantum café is!

its behind my drugs dealers house

  • unknown unknowns.

  • this theory fails when makes the assumption that the whole universe works as does here in our proximities.

how do you know if somewhere in the universe , does not apply the same theory?

they talk as if they have collected data from the whole universe , to assume this theory fits the whole universe.

  • The guy at 5.33 is Dutch, i hear it on his accent LOL

  • maybe EM=G

  • @FreeeeS

    EM > G

  • Walter Lewin FTW!

  • It reminds of big bang theory every time i hear Schrodinger's cat

  • in the quantum cafe every girl has nice ass

  • @theorderoforange IMPOSSIBRU

  • Nice ass at 5:45!

  • They really shouldn't elaborate on the properties of an atom. I doubt that people who don't know what an atom is would be learning about string theory.

  • Nassim Haramein.

  • og's playing dice at 4:00

  • quantum mechanics.

one thing i cant understand for 3 years.

  • quantum mechanics might be strange and inaccurate. however the theory does not prohibit freewill like relativity does. also quantum mechanics will be more practical in the medical field in the future.

  • i thought neils boar was german

  • @mynameisradar *Bohr

  • @SalvadorePapadello oh thanks for the correction. sorry

  • Parts 2 and 3 don't say much. Skip from 1 to 4 but remember Maxwell.

  • Im with Einstein. I dont know much about Quantom Mecanics but to me it seems like a wrong way to work in, even if Quantom do works its still to me a forced fabricated way made by those people.

  • @nils4545 Quantum mechanics explains things that Einteins equation just can't.

Once you learn about it, it makes a lot of sense.

  • @AkiThePirate "Anyone who says that they understand Quantum Mechanics does not understand Quantum Mechanics"- Richard Feynman

It's pure logic and mathematics, no intuition. And you can only start to make a claim that you understand it properly if you're a master of the maths. And even then you don't understand it intuitively.

  • @BreachedWall I am aware of that.

I never claimed to intuitively understand it, but I have a reasonable grasp of the mechanisms(Logically, but not intuitively) and I'm still studying the mathematics.

That said, once you learn to use a different kind of logic, it's much, much easier.

  • @AkiThePirate Yeah, fair enough. I've not studied Quantum in any depth yet but so far the Schrodinger stuff don't seem so bad. :P

  • @BreachedWall Schrodinger's equations are just delightful to use.

  • worse explanation of quantum mechanics ever

  • I want to you to explain them better.

  • Anyone could do a better job simply because here it doesn't explain it at all

  • Then I want you to upload a video explaining it better. Let me know when it's donde.

  • Ignore te other "to"

  • Gotta love the girls face at 6:46 :D

  • Understanded from Bulgaria

  • hehe i;m from bulgaria too :)

  • Great video and only 32000 views! How embarrassing.

  • eternity

  • If gravity was feeble then everytime we do something eg. walk, run, pick up stuff etc... we should be wobbling or repelling and then getting pulled back. When I try to pick up a stuff, It should repell because I have negative electrons and it has electrons. I think gravity is as strong as electromagnetic force.

  • See this is the problem with the world. People with half a clue deciding that they're now a leading expert. What makes you think you're smarter than every physicist out there? Man you'd better be a troll....

  • I didn't say I am an expert. I can think whatever I want. And I think gravity is as strong as electromagnetic force.

  • You can think whatever you want but that doesn't mean you should be respected for it. You thinking that every physicist is wrong sort of implies that you feel you know better than they are which is just silly. Think what you like but I'll give it as much respect as I give to the thoughts of people who think the world is actually flat.

  • I am not looking for your respect. I couldn't care less. Wanna disprove me that gravity is less than electromagnetic force then you should try. No need to go around calling me names. You need to start thinking outside the box yourself.

  • One way to show that the G force is weaker than the EM is to put a magnet on a non-magnetic surface. Then hold another magnet above that magnet and it will stick to it, rather than being stuck to the non-magnetic surface by means of gravity. The force between the magnets is EM, and the force between the magnet and the non-magnetic surface, or earth, is gravity.

  • He's trolling, gotta be

  • Thats because the atoms have full shells. Electrons cirlce the nucleaslike moons, in sets, I think its 2, then further out 8, then 8 again and so on, they really really like to have there full amount, 8 dosent like to have 7 electrons, so it will share an electron with anither, atom so then both atoms have 8, Happy atoms!, they can be near impossible to break apart! That is the force, its not like a manget,...infact your ideas means thast its impossabile to make a magnet stick to another magnet

  • If gravity is as strong as electromagnetism, then how come a rope that weighs 1Kg is stronger than than the entire earth, weighing 6*10^24Kg? The rope has a diameter of 2cm and is stronger than the entire earth, with a diameter of 12,000km! The reason things aren't repelled when you pick something up is because the electromagnetic force diminishes a lot quicker over a distance than gravity does.

  • No, because his foot does not bounce off the sidewalk. The EM onlz works over an extremelz short distance, as pictured in the intro of this clip. Compare the distance between the atoms of the "foot" (the blue atoms) and the atoms of the cement (the green atoms) with the diameter of the atoms themselves and you'll see how tiny the distances are.

  • Well if you pick up a stone from the ground or even lift your arm up in the air, you are supplying a greater force than that of the whole earths gravity :). Gravity is a weak force in proportion to the other forces we know.Put even tiny magnets pole to pole (north to notth etc) and see how much more force you require to over come that and make them touch, that is the difference in strength of Em V Gravity

  • anybody else notice Schrodinger's cat in the quantum cafe?

  • @dkbmx85 No! I was afraid look at it in the event that it die. Thanx to me there is at least a 50-50 probability that it is still alive! ;)

  • @dkbmx85 I've been there. My coffee fell through the table there once. Damn tunneling.

  • why do i keep reading you're only 15?

  • deathpass- Dude! Why did you copy/paste this comment on a bunch of videos. I'm impressed that a 15 year old asks such an involved question, but people are gonna write you off when you "spam" the vids! Keep studying, your on the right track, but as you learn also try to mature socially as well. Not trying to hurt your feelings, just giving a little "fatherly advice". Some day you'll make a good engineer, physicist or sci-fi writer. Keep studying hard and the world will be your oyster!

  • Dude, I was in the same boat you are when I was your age. For this question and I am sure a few more you might have, check out a book by Michio Kaku(A theoretical physicist at the University of New York) entitled, Physics of the Impossible.

  • from 6:50 to 7:10 isnt he talking about the the parrelel universe theory rather than copenhagen interpretation which is more widely known

  • Remember people 'GOD' is a theory! And might be a correct one.

  • remember people a theory is something that can be put to tests to check for its validity. i wonder if anyone can device an experiment to do that without being called "sacrilegious".

  • Thank you. At last someone that makes sense.

  • just a suggestion, but the string theory is also not something you can device an experiment.

  • if you colide two particles and the the resulting energy is less than the start, it means some of that energy must (maybe!) have gone into another possible dimension that we dont know of yet. This is how they propose to prove string theory via the hadron collider. String theory leads to 10( +time) dimensions...exactly what they could be I have no idea. Of course none of it is proven.Sometimes I think its more about elegance than anything else (i.e strings - notes - music - of the universe)

  • Yeah, that's just one of several experiments that could prove the string theory to be right. Still, "God" cannot be tested.

  • @feijaiming A theory can simply be an idea or a speculation based on logic or reason. An EXPLANATION is something that has to be put to tests to check its validity. Nihilism is a theory and there is no way one can do tests to check its validity.

  • @feijaiming I'm not entirely sure where sacrilege comes into the picture mate.

  • @feijaiming oh,fuck the sacriledge! Just go out there and do it! Test your theories, religion is bullshit.!

  • @feijaiming -

That is an absurd and ignorant statement.

A theory is not something we can put to tests to check for validity. A Theory is a scientific conjecture about the conclusions we draw from evidence we have, based upon logic and what we know.

A Theory is, by all means, an explanation for a commonplace occurrence in Nature.

  • @Hytegia

a theory is not an explanation

its the trying to describe facts asgood as possible whileknowing that the conclusion does not have to be true

  • @Ihateslowinternet -

It is a conjecture about the conclusions we can draw based upon logic, and what the data shows us.

    Like I said. :I

  • @feijaiming Nope lol

  • Not only does "god" not qualify as a theory, it doesn't even qualify as an hypothesis.

It does however qualify as delusion., let's leave it where it belongs.

  • ok one, a theory is a hypothesis that has been tested many times and proven right, and most(almost alll sciestist agree on) second, god isnt even a hypothesis because god cant be tested, three god has never been correct and never will be.

  • if you know so much why don't you explain further instead of throwing a "never will be" that you can't prove to us. why should we believe you when you don't finish what you start stating like a truth yet you don't prove nothing of what you say.

  • i said god cant be tested and doesnt fall into anything scientific. how did i not finish what i started? but i gues a talking snake would be more logical.

  • thanks for being open minded.

  • am i the only one that noticed that when the lady was pouring the red drink into the glass it started to fill up then stopped and the liquid in the thing she was pouring it out of didnt seem to run out..like it could go on for ever

  • thats the point?

  • I saw it too, before reading your comment, so what?

  • Sounds like the spiritual world to me.

Spiritual worlds means another dimension unaffected by many laws like time.

  • UNIFICATION UNIFICATION
