In the books based off the original game, he's refered to as corporal Flynn Tager, in the book based off Doom 3, it's John Kane, in the movie, it's John Grimm. There also was a referance in the early Doom bible to a guy called Buddy Dacote. (btw, Dacote= Dies At Conclusion Of The Episode)
