Great video. When the power went out after a storm last summer, I used my solar landscape lights for in the house. I pulled a couple out of the yard and brought them inside. Brought them back out the next day to re-charge them. They still require batteries but they are rechargeable and charge even when we have cloud covering. Every county in America should hold community gatherings discussing the usage of creeks and rivers in the event of a water crises. If the flow of tap water stops everyone will gather around rivers and creeks to use them, especially ones in rural areas that look clean. These sources need to be protected starting NOW.

If you do nothing else to prepare, buy yourself some weapons. AR- 15, Glock, and a Mossberg. 10,000 rounds for each one. On a serious note- make sure you have copies of your birth certificate(whole families) passport and medical/shot records. keep 2 copies...make sure that one is always available incase you have to leave where you are in a hurry....make sure you have another copy in a 2nd location that you can retrieve if necessary.

Nails, hand tools such as a hammer, saw, screwdrivers, and wrenches. Along with simple plumbing supplies...glue, 1/2 elbows, couplers, and pipe.

My boyfriend and I have just bought a muffler for our generator and he is in the process of attaching it with exhaust piping which will blow through a hold in the wall of the garage. I got a pressure cooker as it cooks food 70% more efficiently than a normal pot and keeps nutrients in the food. Also, I am cooking and consuming some of my stored food so that I know how to do it and not just waiting till I need to and then find out I don't know what to do. In doing this I found out that I need to store herbs and spices as a bag of rice is pretty dull and I wouldn't be able to eat plain rice day and night. I have also been getting bags of legumes for soup mix and cooking them
