I've seen countless hockey players playing with broken ankles, wrists and noses. I've watched dudes get their face stitched back together and still not miss a shift. These are obviously sever cases in this video, but most baseball injuries are something like"Bruised finger out for a week" or Strained hamstring 3 wks

Hockey players are tough as nails -- Duncan Keith had his front row of teeth blasted out of his face as I recall and skated back the same night. He also said however that shock and numbness helped but that night it was miserable.

I play college baseball in the states now and people sit out if their hamstring is sore. Back home our local team would only have like 13 players so you better be pretty damn injured if you are sitting out. We were forced to play through things at a young age.

i pitched for 14 years..., little league, high school, college, etc........the arm going forward that violently is not natural, it causes all kinds of injuries. I had serious tendinitis, dead arm, shoulder strains, etc etc. ......but I loved it!! Pitcher was and always will be my fav position. You control the game and every at bat is a new one on one battle like chess and boxing.

@WhatssSoFunny To be fair the NFL have been pushing overseas since the 80's really.. and it hasnt taken off. they still play a couple of games a season at wembley and they are great. problem is 1) you cant really just play amercian football without all the gear (because when u do its just rugby really) 2) Uni's/Colleges outside of the US arent set up to facilitate the fantasic college sport system the US has.. this is why there isnt enough kids playing the sport. :)
