There is a family version of the film with all bad langage removed on the collectors edition bluray and DVD , honestly most young people understand the value of life and human rights issues by there basic nature,as we age we are bombared with so much violence in todays media it simply becomes the norm , and we become numb to it . Avatar is a very rare film in that it shows the true cost of our actions in a very clever way that almost anyone can relate to
@MrAwsome514 You are welcome to your opinion but please understand I have seen first hand the actions "symbolicly" shown in Avatar and it was a mining company gunman who shot a tribal homeowner who was trying to prevent his famly home from being distroyed (the home had been there for 40 years) search youtube for "mine sacred mountain" I would question any military that acted in this manor
@MrAwsome514 The RDA in Avatar are Mercenaries (hired guns working for the mining cooperation) perhaps this example would be closer to what you speak about there is a new documentery by david suzuki called "The nature of things , The Real Avatar, its about Awajun and Wampis peoples in Peru and in this case it involves mining of gold and oil rights verses the rights of the indigious peoples to land they must have in order to survive and be self suficent, the goverment and miltary are involved.
@123allrock Ok then tell me... How does the alien pagan religion fit in with this human rights message? Most of the movie to me sounded like one giant tree hugging propoganda piece. Last I checked tree huggers are against drilling for oil nomatter where it is for the purpose of preserving the surrounding habitat. So that whole bit about who has the rights to the resources is a moot point if the real message is about preserving nature.
@MrAwsome514 Pulling the religon card from the deck has no virtue , in all honestly religion is the cause of more conflicts then just about about any other thing humans find issues to fight about , (even if said fighting goes aganst the very values that faith stands for thousands are killed around the world just because of the faith they practice) as far as the tree hugging issue goes ask any climate scientist about Co2 levels in the air we breath and the rate they are rising, look at the data
@123allrock No religion is not the cause of the conflicts you are reffering to. The desire to force one's own ideals upon others was and has all ways been the cause of such conflict. Historically religion has predominantly been at the center of such conflict simply because science was not as sophisticated in the more violent eras of the past and it was also not as widespread. Just wait. There will and infact allready have been conflicts generated by the desire to spread science based ideals.
@123allrock And incase you where wondering about what conflicts I was reffering to when I said there have allready been some generated by the desire to spread science based ideals... Hitler killed jews, gays, and an assortment of other minorities because he believed they where genetically inferior. Also did you know there are some athiest groups that believe religion needs to be done away with by force? So yea even some athiests think a lot like the pope did during the crusades...
@123allrock Also I have looked at the CO2 data. Where you aware that one volcanic eruption pumps out more green house gasses than the entire industrial revolution did? Human activity actually only accounts for a small portion of the green house gasses currently in the atmosphere. The rest where generated by natural processes such as volcanoes as previously stated.
@MrAwsome514 there is a lot of conflicting data on the volcano co2 issue but many find it intresting to note the volcanic eruptions verses "time" of the co2 spike have not increased from the past , since this thread is becoming confrontational I will no longer reply any longer , others are welcome to continue the debate.
The message was similar to the US' invasion of Iraq for the OIL, (See the movie THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR), and the imperialism of the Spanish, British, and Portugese.
@Beamshipcaptain the masses think garbage is candy floss, well truth is it isn't. the story was cliche, the characters were depthless. 1D characters= shit movie. and if your even going to make a arguement that the characters had depth, then just screw it, i am not even arguing with you. frankly it angers me that the na'vi a evidently primitive culture is so perfect and peaceful. and the super advanced humans are just these destructive savages. watever cameron you and your ideas are gay.
@malows1234 Any culture that enslaves and murders another can hardly call itself "super advanced". Super advancement comes from advanced SPIRITUALITY, not the ability and desire to steal people's land and natural resources, as has been a shameful part of our history. The Native Americans loved the land and had a respect for it, and apologised to the spirit of any animal they killed for food, same as the Na'vi in Avatar. The Invading Europeans raped the land, and committed genocide.
@Beamshipcaptain And only a fuking child will say they love avatar more than chinatown or any great film. you make it siound like noone loved chinatown. but everyone loved chinatown. and godfather was a box office champ, without all the hype machine, mass advertisement and the internet, AND IT was rated R, and it had complex characters. So dont fuking put down art films saying that noone wants to see them, cause a lot fuking people want to see them.
@Beamshipcaptain Even the part about buisnessmen being evil... Ironic considering you have a buisness of your own. Especially ironic because that buisness happens to be scamming people out of thier money for crap literature about even worse crap science.
@MrAwsome514 dam boi, i totally fucking agree, avatar is a fucking scam, its so bad, that they had to make great special effects to mask its obvious lack of storyline.
@malows1234 I know right... Honestly, If they knew the locals where gathering forces against them why did they not just take off and bombard them form orbit? No instead they send a bunch of troops and choppers in... By the way don't bother with Beamie. When he is not on the science channels spreading lies for his boss John Searl to help rope people into thier little scam he is on here humping Neytiri's leg.
@MrAwsome514 ya dude so fuking true, i am honestly getting sick of people calling this film a game changer, because it fucking isn't. fuking cameron is pissing the fuck out of me man, i hate that he is brain washing people with his "message" the only fucking message this movie gives is that, hollywood found a new way to make more pointless fuking blockbusters, NOW WITH 3D and the extra 3 dollar charge. fuck cameron, because there are so many masters who deserve more sucess than th is fagit.
@MrAwsome514 Searl effect has been confirmed with a group her in America, and they will be presenting their device and findings which confirm the original and later Russian copy SEG. Professor Searl and the work of the Searl teams since 1946 is VINDICATED. COFE IV is being held in two weeks, March 15-17, in Washington, DC area.
@TheMossad921 THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN I first saw in the Theatre in 1971, after having read the Michael Chrichton Novel in 1970. THAT is an example of a great Science-Fiction movie. VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED (1960) is another example of a great novel brought brilliantly to film.
@TheMossad921 I'm watching AVATAR again right now on one of the CINEMAX HD channels right now! AVATAR started the 3D-revolution. Best 3D ever. Best SPFX ever, and an inspiring and beautiful story. A beautiful jungle-planet. Reminds me of the old cartoon THE HERCULOIDS. For once, the indigenous people defeat and repel the invaders. "This is OUR land!"
@TheMossad921 dude avatar msg is bullshit, and honestly doesn't fucking matter as long as thwe cahracters are fucking cliched. the bad general fuking jumps out and starts fighting? really? i hope you realize the only people that act like that are untrained retards who have no interest in living, there was no character biuld up that justified him jumping out to fight it out and kill jake. OMG HE WAS MAD SO HE IS GOING TO RISK HIS LIFE TO KILL JAKE
@malows1234 Your use of profanity discounts all your arguments. MONEY TALKS. People paid to see AVATAR 5 6 and ten times. They did NOT for the pictures theat the Academy picked for best picture. Everyone knows the Academy awards are political, and the crowd-pleasing films nevr win, its only the "ART" films that hardly anyone wants to go see that win the academy awards. I see no cliche'd characterisations in AVATAR. Repeat box office, and DVD sales talk.
@Beamshipcaptain ok first off if you believve :"money speaks" then your automatically saying transformers 2 is one of the best films ever made, because it made a lot of money and people went to see it over and ovver agian, same goes for spider man 3. I am using simple "fundamentals of logic", you said money speaks, and both those stupid shit films made a lot of money. avatar didn't sell the most tickets in movie history, ok? do u get that? beleive it or not star wars sold the most movie ticke
@malows1234 I agree, TRANSFORMERS2 is not a great film. BUT, AVATAR is. THe emotion, and story were very beautiful, and relevant for our times and culture. THe planet Pandora was very beautiful, and realistic. The message is that it is wrong to rape a planet of its natural resources and murder the people whose land it is. "THIS IS OUR LAND!"
@Beamshipcaptain the dialogue was fucking cheesy. i dont know what else to tell you man , avatar and star wars prequels are the same thing, stupid hype machines and they all made a lot of money. and frankly speaking, these days if a movie makes a lot of money, its a good sign its shit, at leasst that its a simple type of storytelling, and thats avatar and cameron. They make movies for the masses, for one reason and that is money, not to tell a fuking story.
@malows1234 Movies make truckloads of money on REPEAT viewings: people pay to see it over and over again. Like Jaws. Like STAR WARS. Like TITANIC. LIKE AVATAR. And also worrd of mouth. People tell their friends, and so on and so on. All my firends LOVED AVATAR, and my family too. I bouth the AVATAR books on the making of the movie, and one on the Flora and fauna of Pandora.
@Beamshipcaptain ET cost 10 million dollars to make and made like 800 million dollars, and it creates 40000000000 times more movie magic than avatar. and the children actually responded and the characters developed. alrite so dont fucking call avatar sci fi, terminator 1 was sci fi. aliens was good sci fi. terminator 2 and avatar, are just visual spectacle, and that cheeseball titanic is proof that cameron is doing drugs ever since he finished aliens.
@malows1234 The message that imperialism is bad, and that raping a planet of its natural resources, destroying its ecosystem, and murdering the indigenous is a great evil, has never been more relevant.
@Beamshipcaptain james cameron is a stupid retard, in one of his interviews, he said the movvie is supposed to be a stand agianst capitalism, and that he doesn't like how corporations are so powerful in this world. WAT THE FUCK IS HE SMOKING? he made a 300 million dollar movie, funded by 20th century fox, which is one of the BIGGEST corporations ever, I MEAN DO I EVEN have to say how much of a retard u have to be to say that on a promotional interview for avatar. fuking retard=cameron.
@Beamshipcaptain PLEASE CAMERON DO US THE FUKING FAVOR AND SIMPLIFY the characters so fondly so its black and white, jake and the scientists good guys, the army badBOOOOOOOOO. FUCK CAMERON AND HIS simplicity of everything. he didn't even biuld up what drove the villan. he doesn't know how to. LETS BE HONEST HERE, this is the guy who got famous from making a movie about a robot, obviously character development doesn't interst him.
this movie is a lot like District 9 but backwards avatar shows humans with advance tec. come to a new planet and District 9 show Aliens with advance tec. come to a new planet
@xyz478 We now as of 2011 have all that advanced tech, and more, in the hands of the military, world wide. Antigravity, vacuu-energy, star travel, electromagnetic beam weaponry, etc. Look online and in the Library.
@Beamshipcaptain in fact i prayed to god hoping the movie wouldn't be ending with him joining the na'vi in a nice little tidy happy ending, but it did that, and i was like wow i saw that coming since hte first 10 minutes of the film.
i am sorry but i can't agree with anoyoen saying avatar is the best movie of all time. You can say its the best special effects ever put on screen, which would be true.
@malows1234 The world seems to agree with myself, by making this film the box-office champ of all time, world-wide. James Cameron has a knack for making films people want to see, again and again and ...
@Beamshipcaptain dont ever bring up money as any criteria that people want to see a film. dont forget raging bull made 40 mill dollars, and it has a greater msg than this peice of shit movie. infact, i find it fuking annoying that people find this anything more than cliched crap with great special effects. and if it has such universal ideology it would have won best picture, the reason it didn't is because the academy can seperate blockbuster- from good film.
@malows1234 People paid good money to see AVATAR multiple times. The DVD and blue ray sales are thru the roof. That speaks volumes. And your use of foul language does not bolster your argument. Quite the opposite. How old are you?
@Beamshipcaptain maybe the academy doesn't go for crowd pleasers because in crowd pleasers there is such a emotional simplicity, a simplicity of bad and good that is rather sickening. but even then, lets not forget slumdogg millionaire won and it was a crowd pleaser. so period, the academy awards were able to see the pure shallowness that avatar emobodied. AVATAR is dances with wolves. i mean every movie is a little unoriginal, but FUKING avatar is just unbelievably unorginal.
@malows1234 In DANCES WITH WOLVES, the indigenous people were subjugated. In AVATAR, the indigenous were repelled. In AVATAR, the people actually CONNECTED with the energy and life-forms of their home planet. Not so in DANCES. IN AVATAR, lifeforms that dont exist, and landscapes and foliage, were convincingly rendered digitally for the first time, in a relevant and inspiring story, of good triumphing over evil.
This is actually the story of the Native Americans having their land taken. Set on another planet, more weapon power, sure...but the essence is the same, only with a different ending. I enjoyed the mix of Native American and African culture and their catlike features.
Curse words should be taken out, and this movie should be shown to every school child. This can inspire future generations to avoid the mistake of greed and MONEY over nature. Great movie.
@RENEEisOnegative But of course, our nations youth must know that America was founded on greed, thievery and lies. The European peoples stole the land away from the native peoples through lies and deceit, and then proceeded to rape and plunder it, and kept on doing so through their own greed until they had every last piece of dirt under their possession. Then they had the audacity to force the Native peoples to live on meager little designated plots called Reservations. Yeah, digest that.
This movie cant betopped. in terms of experience... But I think James Cameron
can give us the same level of the most awesome cinemactic achievement in history. I do think Avatar 2 will make more than jaw breaking 2.8B Avatar I made. :)
Does it have cheesy dialogue at times definitely- does it distract me from the story-nope- does it make it less amazing-No-The fact is the dialogue is not enough to bring this amazing movie down.
For me, Avatar was the best movie ever, you all can have your own opinions and I'm fine with that. For the majority of movies 3-d is a gimmick but not for Avatar, for Avatar it allows you to experience the full depth of Pandora in a way no other movie could ever do to this point. Maybe the dialogue wasn't the greatest but like everything else in the movie it was realistic, life isn't full of golden lines and smart thought out responses sometimes it is cheesy.
@HinataLuYawneOe wow. I completley disagree with you, and yet your the first comment that states Avatar is the best movie in a way that I am able to respect your opinion. I loved the movie and everything you said was right. Some of the other comments here are just plain gay.
@HinataLuYawneOe I do have to disagree with a cheesy lines lol. The cheesy lines in the movie is what made it seem UNREALISTIC. I thought Cameron tried to hard to make some of the lines stick out, but failed. The Dark Knight and The Departed are better examples of great realistic dialogue.
I love how most Avatar fans will say "well the dialogue, acting, and story sucked but the effects make it the best movie of all time!" This is the future of movie making? A bunch of pretty colors with no plot?
@ktm8501 it may not be the best movie ever in some people's point of view (it is for me but that might be because I never saw the movies you mentioned) but it's the best film of this generation
@GIMMA96 maybe so, but its not an original message. exactly the same as pocohantas. if by lotrmnot you mean Lord of the Rings then you need to understand that The Lotr Trilogy has more quality beneath the CGI where Avatar doesn't. Jackson proves in just three movies that he is able to engage the audience in an adventure that was labelled to be impossible to make. Cameron proves, with a lot of money, you can make a lot of money.
@GIMMA96 Also, you are wrong, LOTR has a much stronger message than Avatar. The ring in the movie represents evil, the films/books show that there is evil and that temptation can corrupt any mind. Its a brilliant film set intrepertation of the books which have a much larger message than Avatar! What is themessage in AVatar anyways? some corny thing about an underdog helping indigenous people save the world. Its been seen SOO many times! too many film viewers been stupefied by commercial gimmicks
This movie is honestly, out of all my years, the best movie i've ever witnessed and it truely attracted my into the plot from beginning to end!! 10 out of 5 stars!
Opinions vary, but the vast majority of people agree: its the best movie of all time, and is a shoo in to sweep the oscars. It already won best Drama and Best Director at the Golden Globes!
@Beamshipcaptain god shut the fuck up, avatar is not the best fucking movie of all time citizen kane runs all over it. fuck. you can say YOU THINK its the best the movie of all time.
@malows1234 I love Citizen Kane too, but AVATAR still beats STAR WARS hands down, and is even ahead of Stan Kubrick's masterpiece, 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. The audiences agree, making AVATAR the biggest money-making film of all time. I wept all thru the movie the first time I saw AVATAR.
@Beamshipcaptain ok avatar doesnt beat 2001 space oddesey. the auddineces dont agree, a movie making a lot of money does not mean its the best. transformers 2 is on of the highest grossing films of all time, but its absolute shit. In fact if a movie makes a lot of money, its probably dumbed down, which it is, i mean the villan is such a joke, he should have a contest of be bad to be bad, i mean the oversimplification of emotion, the OVERLY predictable ending.
@malows1234 I agree with you about Transformers 2 being embarrassingly bad, save for the SPFX, but I disagree on everything else. AVATAR has a message, for all of us Earth-Humans, in century-21.
@Beamshipcaptain agian, not that academy awards are any qualifications. but make it sound like the people embraced like its the best thing ever, if they did, then it woulda won a best picture oscar AT LEAST. it doesn't have a fucking msg, if its the tree hugger msg, sorry i am not interested in msg movies with 2 d characters i mean give me a fucking break. its so cliche, the bad guy is just fuking bad...... wow VERY ORIGANL CAMERON.
@malows1234 Money talks, anf AVATAR made money. I and all my riends gladly shelled out good money, in a bad recession, to see it multiple times. Ita also kicked off the 3D revolution. Characters and people in real life ARE cliched, so get real.
@Beamshipcaptain if it was such a prominent message and important one well, lets just say that they wouldn't have needed 300 million dollars to get it across. and personally i dont give A FUCK about messages in movies, i go to movies to see art, characters develope. taxi driver has no message only characters and their biuld and up. but its one of the greatest movi9es, and for me i t is the greatest movie of all time.
@malows1234 I agree with you, TAXI DRIVER is a great film. But people gladly shelled out good money, in a bad recession, to see AVATAR multiple times. THAT is what drove the box office phenomenon of this, the biggest moneymaking film of all time.
@Beamshipcaptain ITS NOT THE FUCKING BIGGEST money making movie, gone with the wind is. avatar also had way too much help from 3d. my friends and i went to see it, and we all agreed it was absolute sshit, so we payed for it but we didn't like it. second james cameron and avatar are just shit compared to some of the masters working today such as paul thomas anderson, martin scorsese, lynch. so watever avatar is a joke compared to movies like there will be blood, raging bull. and you know it
@malows1234 JAWS became the biggest money maker in 1975, STAR WARS became the biggest money making movie in 1977. TITANIC held the champinon of the box-office until late 2009, when AVATAR blew them all away. AVATAR made its money thru REPEAT viewings, I and many of my friends paid good money to see it five and six times! DVD and blu ray sales set records, too. Box office champions become champs thru REPEAT sales, not thru someone going to see it ONCE. The critics and the public made AVATAR champ
@Beamshipcaptain you went to seee 5-6 times, jeez wat a loser. dont use a general term like "people", because i know a lot of people that hated the dumb movie, me included and my friends. To be FRANK i dont give A FUCK about box office, unless i get a share of the profits. so stop bringing it up over and over agian. Just the fact that transformers made a lot of money discredits that whole arguement. Bad luck for you that shitty blockbusters were made, or else u might have a arguement.
@Beamshipcaptain Why do you equate box office success with great cinematic artistry? I paid to see Avatar, didn't particularly enjoy it, but my "vote" of buying a ticket would indicate some degree of approval for the film. That's not necessarily the case. The faults of Avatar are systemic -weak characters, predictable plot- rather than one or two take-it-or-leave-it flaws. Comparing Avatar and Titanic to the dross that is the Star Wars prequels reveals the real league you place Cameron's work i
@malows1234 Cinematic artistry was Kubrick's 2001: A Space odyssey, which I watched on a giant Cinerama screen in the Spring of 1968. But filmmakers like Spielberg, Lucas, and Cameron actually made films people wanted to pay good money to see, over and over. THAT is why they made money, created empires, and brought Hollywood back from the Brink of destruction, as it was almost destroyed in 1974. These filmakers revitalised the American film industry, by finalloy making films people LOVE.
@Beamshipcaptain holy shit dude is it weird that i think cameron and lucas fuked over the industry, with their dum popcorn flicks. oh man its so weird we haven't had a movie on the level of the godfather since like 1970. fuk commerciality, hollywood was fuking fine before lucas came around alright? they were producing super hits like the godfather, taxi driver, chinatown. wats the difference beetween those and avatar/star wars oh YES i know they are cinematic art.
@Beamshipcaptain james cameron is not a bad director, but he has become a bad one. IN FACT i have to tell u this. he is just like lucas. He had a spark of genius when he made terminator 1, then he became a technical director who only gives a fuck about hte graphics. just like lucas only gives a fuck about graphics in the prequels. i am sorry but i get pissed when epople call this sci-fi cause it fuking isn't. its a visual spectacle. sci-fi is about the awe, which i felt none of in avatar.
@malows1234 I happen to be partial mostly to good science-fiction and adventure films, like 2001, STAR WARS, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, ET, MINORITY REPORT, BLADE RUNNER,CLOSE ENCOUNTERS, THE TERMINATOR I AND II, SUPERMAN, X-MEN, FANTASTIC VOYAGE, 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED (1960), THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (1951), MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS, THE HAUNTING (1963), GOJIRA (1954,Toho). Thank god more science fiction, fantasy, and adventure films are made.
@Beamshipcaptain fuk u dont ever FUCKING use 2001 and avatar in the same sentence, cause god knows that they dont belong in the same league. there is a genre called science fiction, which 2001 belongs in. then there is a genre called "science fictionish" cgi oriented films", avatar beloongs in this genre, so does star wars. Cause i remeber that everyone was going fucking crazy about the hyperjump and all that shit.
@Beamshipcaptain you know i am fucking right, this peice of shit is just visuals PERIOD. take out the visuals for one second in your mind, and you will see how shitty the film's characters and storyline are. you will see that the film is shit, and its all just gloss and cgi that have fooled your mind.
@Beamshipcaptain the crtics have not spoken so fondly of this movie, they all acknowledge the shitty script that avatar had. ok you understand.? you dont believe me check ebert's review. michael phillips, ao scott.
@malows1234 Those are only a few. The vast majority of revies were favorable, and encouraged people to go and see this film. Repeat viewings made AVATAR the box office champion of all time. I watch it every night on cable. I can't get enough of it! DVD and Blue ray sales of AVATAR set records as well. That speaks VOLUMES. People in America and the world over have AVATAR parties. Get with it!
@Beamshipcaptain The majority of the public are idiots. Ofcourse you allready know that beamie... After all you make a living off of the stupidity of others. By the way even the guys in this video where bashing the plot... Or maybe you didn't catch that? The praise they where giving it where all about the visuals. Yes the visuals where amazing but the story was utter garbage because it made it blatantly obvious that the writer was trying to force his ideals on you.
@MrAwsome514 I make money of the INTELLIGENCE of others, and have helped kids win schloarships and science fairs. I am helping to bring us into an age of clean cheap energy, and interstellar travel. Get with it. And the ideas of the writer I agree with in total. Get with it. The co-producer, Jon Landau, I went to school with him in New York at Fieldston lower school, 40 years ago! His father produced KING, the story of the life and assasination of American hero and civil-rights leader King.
@MrAwsome514 I think more highly of people than you do, sitting up on your high horse. Get down off of it, and join the rest of humanity, that you are seemingly too good for.
@Beamshipcaptain at any rate Searl claims to have LOST $1,200,000 worth in the prototypes he claims to have built based on his own estimate on the construction costs. What is worse is he some how managed to only take pictures of one. So there is only proof that 1 of the 40 he claims to have built ever even existed. Based on the evidence Searl provides he is either a con man or something far beyond the lowest level of incompetance. And own his son says the only photos he has are fake...
@Beamshipcaptain SInce when the fuck did people not love to see goodfellas over and over and over and over and over agian, because i did for the brilliance, so dont pull shit out of your ass with no proof, people went to see 20001 over and over agian, you dont know that.
@malows1234 I know, GOODFELLAS rocks, I've had the VHS for many years and also the DVD. Ray Liotta is Brilliandt, and Martin Scorsese rocks also. GODFATHER I and II are brilliant.
Those fans are right. Avatar was one of the best movies of the year. It was way much better than that stupid 2012 crap. Besides, nobody does bull like that movie. This is a lot better than a movie with disasters.
Who said this movie was a bomb? Are you kidding? This movie was awesome! I am going to watch it over and over again! 97 M o vi es. Co M has a ton of great movies too.
Don't watch it online, 3D gives you the real feeling, and for all of you faggot spamming bot/trolls gtfo internet spamming it on every related avatar movie because it sucks without 3D.
A lot of people were disappointed because the storyline had been used a million times, but to me, there's a difference between being original and being creative. Cameron takes the creative route by using a recycled storyline and making it into one of the greatest thrill rides of the century. The film brings the audience into a world full of imagination, and that makes it creative. I consider it the best film of the year because it has more imagination than anything else I've seen. 10/10!
@BulletShootingGuys I totally agree with you!!! Story line may not be original, but he made it his own!!! love the romance, cast, graphics everything!!!!!!
for everyone who's thinking about seeing the video on the computer for free, don't its not in 3d. without that, the movie wouldn't be twice as good as it really is, trust me.
ya know...avatar raced past 1 billion gross mark worldwide in 17 days, becoming the world's 4th highest grossing movie ever, triumphing over dark knight
come guys if you really like this movie dont be so cheap it only cost 10 dollars for a ticket dont pirate this movie plus theres suppused to be a trilogy if the movie makes enough money so dont pirate untill its out of theatres at least please and thank you
@jokerwild95 "its only ten dollars for a ticket???" THATS A HORRIBLE AND OVER EXPENSIVE PRICE WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!! most movies today arent even two hours long, and whenever i take my family, i end up spending about thrity five to forty dollars to see a fuckin MOVIE. 3D movies are almost fourteen dollars a ticket, not ten, i just saw it on a sign recently....
Heh, dont you think its wierd... Im 17 and I saw this today... When I go with my Grandschildren to see films out during thier time, this will probably be what Charlie Chaplin is to us now... Black and white, wheras back then, it was ground breaking...
This is the most amazing movie ever made, the plot was mostly self explanitory, althought I truly thought the bomb was going to hit the Tree. The Theme song made specially for it, was perfect, actors perfect, CGI OVER Perfect.. Truly extraordinary
@vivatdk65 Avatar isn't the best movie. Infact its not even close to being the best. Its more of a technical presentation. Schindler's List, The Dark Knight, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Departed, Up, Wall-E, The Hurt Locker, District 9 are all random examples of better movies.
@vivatdk65 wow you people have lost your minds. What makes Avatar so great besides the amazing CGI and 3D! Anyone can make that movie with the money. In a way, the story is a remake of Pocohontas and the dialogue is corny. The movie is still amazing, but The Departed, the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy are wayyy better. Every movie I listed has a much higher sense of quality.
@KayWildcat I doubt you've seen Schindler's List or understood Wall-E and Up to understand the great art within these movies. But forget it, you just wait for Cameron's next senseless 3D blockbuster and worship it as its the best.
There is a family version of the film with all bad langage removed on the collectors edition bluray and DVD , honestly most young people understand the value of life and human rights issues by there basic nature,as we age we are bombared with so much violence in todays media it simply becomes the norm , and we become numb to it . @123allrock this movie was not about human rights. it was about demonizing both the military and capitalisim.

123allrock 11 months ago
@123allrock Ok then tell me... How does the alien pagan religion fit in with this human rights message? Most of the movie to me sounded like one giant tree hugging propoganda piece. Last I checked tree huggers are against drilling for oil nomatter where it is for the purpose of preserving the surrounding habitat. So that whole bit about who has the rights to the resources is a moot point if the real message is about preserving nature.
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 Pulling the religon card from the deck has no virtue , in all honestly religion is the cause of more conflicts then just about about any other thing humans find issues to fight about , (even if said fighting goes aganst the very values that faith stands for thousands are killed around the world just because of the faith they practice) as far as the tree hugging issue goes ask any climate scientist about Co2 levels in the air we breath and the rate they are rising, look at the data
123allrock 11 months ago
@123allrock No religion is not the cause of the conflicts you are reffering to. The desire to force one's own ideals upon others was and has all ways been the cause of such conflict. Historically religion has predominantly been at the center of such conflict simply because science was not as sophisticated in the more violent eras of the past and it was also not as widespread. Just wait. There will and infact allready have been conflicts generated by the desire to spread science based ideals.
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@123allrock And incase you where wondering about what conflicts I was reffering to when I said there have allready been some generated by the desire to spread science based ideals... Hitler killed jews, gays, and an assortment of other minorities because he believed they where genetically inferior. Also did you know there are some athiest groups that believe religion needs to be done away with by force? So yea even some athiests think a lot like the pope did during the crusades...
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@123allrock Also I have looked at the CO2 data. Where you aware that one volcanic eruption pumps out more green house gasses than the entire industrial revolution did? Human activity actually only accounts for a small portion of the green house gasses currently in the atmosphere. The rest where generated by natural processes such as volcanoes as previously stated.
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 there is a lot of conflicting data on the volcano co2 issue but many find it intresting to note the volcanic eruptions verses "time" of the co2 spike have not increased from the past , since this thread is becoming confrontational I will no longer reply any longer , others are welcome to continue the debate.
123allrock 11 months ago
@123allrock Well I am sorry to hear that you feel this is confrontational. I thought we were haveing an interesting discussion.
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
The message was similar to the US' invasion of Iraq for the OIL, (See the movie THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR), and the imperialism of the Spanish, British, and Portugese.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain the masses think garbage is candy floss, well truth is it isn't. the story was cliche, the characters were depthless. 1D characters= shit movie. and if your even going to make a arguement that the characters had depth, then just screw it, i am not even arguing with you. frankly it angers me that the na'vi a evidently primitive culture is so perfect and peaceful. and the super advanced humans are just these destructive savages. watever cameron you and your ideas are gay.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 Any culture that enslaves and murders another can hardly call itself "super advanced". Super advancement comes from advanced SPIRITUALITY, not the ability and desire to steal people's land and natural resources, as has been a shameful part of our history. The Native Americans loved the land and had a respect for it, and apologised to the spirit of any animal they killed for food, same as the Na'vi in Avatar. The Invading Europeans raped the land, and committed genocide.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain And only a fuking child will say they love avatar more than chinatown or any great film. you make it siound like noone loved chinatown. but everyone loved chinatown. and godfather was a box office champ, without all the hype machine, mass advertisement and the internet, AND IT was rated R, and it had complex characters. So dont fuking put down art films saying that noone wants to see them, cause a lot fuking people want to see them.
malows1234 11 months ago
You know when I watched avatar I felt like some one was force feeding me thier ideology.
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 The Ideology of AVATAR is one I am very much in agreement with.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain Even the part about buisnessmen being evil... Ironic considering you have a buisness of your own. Especially ironic because that buisness happens to be scamming people out of thier money for crap literature about even worse crap science.
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 dam boi, i totally fucking agree, avatar is a fucking scam, its so bad, that they had to make great special effects to mask its obvious lack of storyline.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 I know right... Honestly, If they knew the locals where gathering forces against them why did they not just take off and bombard them form orbit? No instead they send a bunch of troops and choppers in... By the way don't bother with Beamie. When he is not on the science channels spreading lies for his boss John Searl to help rope people into thier little scam he is on here humping Neytiri's leg.
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 ya dude so fuking true, i am honestly getting sick of people calling this film a game changer, because it fucking isn't. fuking cameron is pissing the fuck out of me man, i hate that he is brain washing people with his "message" the only fucking message this movie gives is that, hollywood found a new way to make more pointless fuking blockbusters, NOW WITH 3D and the extra 3 dollar charge. fuck cameron, because there are so many masters who deserve more sucess than th is fagit.
malows1234 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 Searl effect has been confirmed with a group her in America, and they will be presenting their device and findings which confirm the original and later Russian copy SEG. How the FUCK can you think this was the best movie ever Jesus watch a real film like the departed or actually good movies
TheMossad921 1 year ago
@TheMossad921 THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN I first saw in the Theatre in 1971, after having read the Michael Chrichton Novel in 1970. THAT is an example of a great Science-Fiction movie. VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED (1960) is another example of a great novel brought brilliantly to film.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain i agree both are great quality
TheMossad921 11 months ago
@TheMossad921 I'm watching AVATAR again right now on one of the CINEMAX HD channels right now! AVATAR started the 3D-revolution. Best 3D ever. Best SPFX ever, and an inspiring and beautiful story. A beautiful jungle-planet. Reminds me of the old cartoon THE HERCULOIDS. For once, the indigenous people defeat and repel the invaders. "This is OUR land!"
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@TheMossad921 dude avatar msg is bullshit, and honestly doesn't fucking matter as long as thwe cahracters are fucking cliched. the bad general fuking jumps out and starts fighting? really? i hope you realize the only people that act like that are untrained retards who have no interest in living, there was no character biuld up that justified him jumping out to fight it out and kill jake. OMG HE WAS MAD SO HE IS GOING TO RISK HIS LIFE TO KILL JAKE
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 valid point
TheMossad921 11 months ago
@malows1234 Your use of profanity discounts all your arguments. MONEY TALKS. People paid to see AVATAR 5 6 and ten times. They did NOT for the pictures theat the Academy picked for best picture. Everyone knows the Academy awards are political, and the crowd-pleasing films nevr win, its only the "ART" films that hardly anyone wants to go see that win the academy awards. I see no cliche'd characterisations in AVATAR. Repeat box office, and DVD sales talk.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain ok first off if you believve :"money speaks" then your automatically saying transformers 2 is one of the best films ever made, because it made a lot of money and people went to see it over and ovver agian, same goes for spider man 3. I am using simple "fundamentals of logic", you said money speaks, and both those stupid shit films made a lot of money. avatar didn't sell the most tickets in movie history, ok? do u get that? beleive it or not star wars sold the most movie ticke
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 I agree, TRANSFORMERS2 is not a great film. BUT, AVATAR is. THe emotion, and story were very beautiful, and relevant for our times and culture. THe planet Pandora was very beautiful, and realistic. The message is that it is wrong to rape a planet of its natural resources and murder the people whose land it is. "THIS IS OUR LAND!"
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain the dialogue was fucking cheesy. i dont know what else to tell you man , avatar and star wars prequels are the same thing, stupid hype machines and they all made a lot of money. and frankly speaking, these days if a movie makes a lot of money, its a good sign its shit, at leasst that its a simple type of storytelling, and thats avatar and cameron. They make movies for the masses, for one reason and that is money, not to tell a fuking story.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 Movies make truckloads of money on REPEAT viewings: people pay to see it over and over again. Like Jaws. Like STAR WARS. Like TITANIC. LIKE AVATAR. And also worrd of mouth. People tell their friends, and so on and so on. All my firends LOVED AVATAR, and my family too. I bouth the AVATAR books on the making of the movie, and one on the Flora and fauna of Pandora.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain ET cost 10 million dollars to make and made like 800 million dollars, and it creates 40000000000 times more movie magic than avatar. and the children actually responded and the characters developed. alrite so dont fucking call avatar sci fi, terminator 1 was sci fi. aliens was good sci fi. terminator 2 and avatar, are just visual spectacle, and that cheeseball titanic is proof that cameron is doing drugs ever since he finished aliens.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 The message that imperialism is bad, and that raping a planet of its natural resources, destroying its ecosystem, and murdering the indigenous is a great evil, has never been more relevant.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain james cameron is a stupid retard, in one of his interviews, he said the movvie is supposed to be a stand agianst capitalism, and that he doesn't like how corporations are so powerful in this world. WAT THE FUCK IS HE SMOKING? he made a 300 million dollar movie, funded by 20th century fox, which is one of the BIGGEST corporations ever, I MEAN DO I EVEN have to say how much of a retard u have to be to say that on a promotional interview for avatar. fuking retard=cameron.
malows1234 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain PLEASE CAMERON DO US THE FUKING FAVOR AND SIMPLIFY the characters so fondly so its black and white, jake and the scientists good guys, the army badBOOOOOOOOO. FUCK CAMERON AND HIS simplicity of everything. he didn't even biuld up what drove the villan. he doesn't know how to. LETS BE HONEST HERE, this is the guy who got famous from making a movie about a robot, obviously character development doesn't interst him.
malows1234 11 months ago
this movie is a lot like District 9 but backwards avatar shows humans with advance tec. come to a new planet and District 9 show Aliens with advance tec. come to a new planet
xyz478 1 year ago
@xyz478 We now as of 2011 have all that advanced tech, and more, in the hands of the military, world wide. Antigravity, vacuu-energy, star travel, electromagnetic beam weaponry, etc. Look online and in the Library.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain in fact i prayed to god hoping the movie wouldn't be ending with him joining the na'vi in a nice little tidy happy ending, but it did that, and i was like wow i saw that coming since hte first 10 minutes of the film.
i am sorry but i can't agree with anoyoen saying avatar is the best movie of all time. You can say its the best special effects ever put on screen, which would be true.
but the movie is a load of hollywood crap
cameron needs to go back to his roots in sci fi.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 The world seems to agree with myself, by making this film the box-office champ of all time, world-wide. James Cameron has a knack for making films people want to see, again and again and ...
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain dont ever bring up money as any criteria that people want to see a film. dont forget raging bull made 40 mill dollars, and it has a greater msg than this peice of shit movie. infact, i find it fuking annoying that people find this anything more than cliched crap with great special effects. and if it has such universal ideology it would have won best picture, the reason it didn't is because the academy can seperate blockbuster- from good film.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 People paid good money to see AVATAR multiple times. The DVD and blue ray sales are thru the roof. That speaks volumes. And your use of foul language does not bolster your argument. Quite the opposite. How old are you?
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain maybe the academy doesn't go for crowd pleasers because in crowd pleasers there is such a emotional simplicity, a simplicity of bad and good that is rather sickening. but even then, lets not forget slumdogg millionaire won and it was a crowd pleaser. so period, the academy awards were able to see the pure shallowness that avatar emobodied. AVATAR is dances with wolves. i mean every movie is a little unoriginal, but FUKING avatar is just unbelievably unorginal.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 In DANCES WITH WOLVES, the indigenous people were subjugated. In AVATAR, the indigenous were repelled. In AVATAR, the people actually CONNECTED with the energy and life-forms of their home planet. Not so in DANCES. IN AVATAR, lifeforms that dont exist, and landscapes and foliage, were convincingly rendered digitally for the first time, in a relevant and inspiring story, of good triumphing over evil.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
BEST MOVIE EVER. If you see it on a flat screen OMG it is amazing :)

SPOILER ALERT:
This is actually the story of the Native Americans having their land taken. Set on another planet, more weapon power, sure...but the essence is the same, only with a different ending. I enjoyed the mix of Native American and African culture and their catlike features.
Curse words should be taken out, and this movie should be shown to every school child. This can inspire future generations to avoid the mistake of greed and MONEY over nature. Great movie.
RENEEisOnegative 1 year ago 8
@RENEEisOnegative I agree with you on all the points. But the curse words are how kids talk anyway, and adults. AVATAR is a real education.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@RENEEisOnegative shut up this stupuid movie is no message its called visuals reatard
malows1234 11 months ago
@RENEEisOnegative But of course, our nations youth must know that America was founded on greed, thievery and lies. The European peoples stole the land away from the native peoples through lies and deceit, and then proceeded to rape and plunder it, and kept on doing so through their own greed until they had every last piece of dirt under their possession. Then they had the audacity to force the Native peoples to live on meager little designated plots called Reservations. Yeah, digest that.
SeaMonkeyPrincess 6 months ago
@SeaMonkeyPrincess You are correct. I feel the movie represents that struggle that many in history have faced.
RENEEisOnegative 6 months ago

For me, Avatar was the best movie ever, you all can have your own opinions and I'm fine with that. For the majority of movies 3-d is a gimmick but not for Avatar, for Avatar it allows you to experience the full depth of Pandora in a way no other movie could ever do to this point. Maybe the dialogue wasn't the greatest but like everything else in the movie it was realistic, life isn't full of golden lines and smart thought out responses sometimes it is cheesy.
HinataLuYawneOe 1 year ago
@HinataLuYawneOe wow. I completley disagree with you, and yet your the first comment that states Avatar is the best movie in a way that I am able to respect your opinion. I loved the movie and everything you said was right. Some of the other comments here are just plain gay.
KayWildcat 1 year ago
@HinataLuYawneOe I do have to disagree with a cheesy lines lol. The cheesy lines in the movie is what made it seem UNREALISTIC. I thought Cameron tried to hard to make some of the lines stick out, but failed. The Dark Knight and The Departed are better examples of great realistic dialogue.

GIMMA96 1 year ago
@GIMMA96 maybe so, but its not an original message. exactly the same as pocohantas. if by lotrmnot you mean Lord of the Rings then you need to understand that The Lotr Trilogy has more quality beneath the CGI where Avatar doesn't. Jackson proves in just three movies that he is able to engage the audience in an adventure that was labelled to be impossible to make. Cameron proves, with a lot of money, you can make a lot of money.
KayWildcat 1 year ago
@GIMMA96 Also, you are wrong, LOTR has a much stronger message than Avatar. The ring in the movie represents evil, the films/books show that there is evil and that temptation can corrupt any mind. Its a brilliant film set intrepertation of the books which have a much larger message than Avatar! What is themessage in AVatar anyways? some corny thing about an underdog helping indigenous people save the world. Its been seen SOO many times! too many film viewers been stupefied by commercial gimmicks

malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 I love Citizen Kane too, but AVATAR still beats STAR WARS hands down, and is even ahead of Stan Kubrick's masterpiece, 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY. The audiences agree, making AVATAR the biggest money-making film of all time. I wept all thru the movie the first time I saw AVATAR.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain ok avatar doesnt beat 2001 space oddesey. the auddineces dont agree, a movie making a lot of money does not mean its the best. transformers 2 is on of the highest grossing films of all time, but its absolute shit. In fact if a movie makes a lot of money, its probably dumbed down, which it is, i mean the villan is such a joke, he should have a contest of be bad to be bad, i mean the oversimplification of emotion, the OVERLY predictable ending.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 I agree with you about Transformers 2 being embarrassingly bad, save for the SPFX, but I disagree on everything else. AVATAR has a message, for all of us Earth-Humans, in century-21.

malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 Money talks, anf AVATAR made money. I and all my riends gladly shelled out good money, in a bad recession, to see it multiple times. Ita also kicked off the 3D revolution. Characters and people in real life ARE cliched, so get real.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain if it was such a prominent message and important one well, lets just say that they wouldn't have needed 300 million dollars to get it across. and personally i dont give A FUCK about messages in movies, i go to movies to see art, characters develope. taxi driver has no message only characters and their biuld and up. but its one of the greatest movi9es, and for me i t is the greatest movie of all time.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 I agree with you, TAXI DRIVER is a great film. But people gladly shelled out good money, in a bad recession, to see AVATAR multiple times. THAT is what drove the box office phenomenon of this, the biggest moneymaking film of all time.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain ITS NOT THE FUCKING BIGGEST money making movie, gone with the wind is. avatar also had way too much help from 3d. my friends and i went to see it, and we all agreed it was absolute sshit, so we payed for it but we didn't like it. second james cameron and avatar are just shit compared to some of the masters working today such as paul thomas anderson, martin scorsese, lynch. so watever avatar is a joke compared to movies like there will be blood, raging bull. and you know it
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 JAWS became the biggest money maker in 1975, STAR WARS became the biggest money making movie in 1977. TITANIC held the champinon of the box-office until late 2009, when AVATAR blew them all away. AVATAR made its money thru REPEAT viewings, I and many of my friends paid good money to see it five and six times! DVD and blu ray sales set records, too. Box office champions become champs thru REPEAT sales, not thru someone going to see it ONCE. The critics and the public made AVATAR champ
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain you went to seee 5-6 times, jeez wat a loser. dont use a general term like "people", because i know a lot of people that hated the dumb movie, me included and my friends. To be FRANK i dont give A FUCK about box office, unless i get a share of the profits. so stop bringing it up over and over agian. Just the fact that transformers made a lot of money discredits that whole arguement. Bad luck for you that shitty blockbusters were made, or else u might have a arguement.
malows1234 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain Why do you equate box office success with great cinematic artistry? I paid to see Avatar, didn't particularly enjoy it, but my "vote" of buying a ticket would indicate some degree of approval for the film. That's not necessarily the case. The faults of Avatar are systemic -weak characters, predictable plot- rather than one or two take-it-or-leave-it flaws. Comparing Avatar and Titanic to the dross that is the Star Wars prequels reveals the real league you place Cameron's work i
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 Cinematic artistry was Kubrick's 2001: A Space odyssey, which I watched on a giant Cinerama screen in the Spring of 1968. But filmmakers like Spielberg, Lucas, and Cameron actually made films people wanted to pay good money to see, over and over. THAT is why they made money, created empires, and brought Hollywood back from the Brink of destruction, as it was almost destroyed in 1974. These filmakers revitalised the American film industry, by finalloy making films people LOVE.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain holy shit dude is it weird that i think cameron and lucas fuked over the industry, with their dum popcorn flicks. oh man its so weird we haven't had a movie on the level of the godfather since like 1970. fuk commerciality, hollywood was fuking fine before lucas came around alright? they were producing super hits like the godfather, taxi driver, chinatown. wats the difference beetween those and avatar/star wars oh YES i know they are cinematic art.

Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain fuk u dont ever FUCKING use 2001 and avatar in the same sentence, cause god knows that they dont belong in the same league. there is a genre called science fiction, which 2001 belongs in. then there is a genre called "science fictionish" cgi oriented films", avatar beloongs in this genre, so does star wars. Cause i remeber that everyone was going fucking crazy about the hyperjump and all that shit.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 You have some valid points. Nevertheless, AVATAR is a worldwide mega-blockbuster. I think for good reasons.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain you know i am fucking right, this peice of shit is just visuals PERIOD. take out the visuals for one second in your mind, and you will see how shitty the film's characters and storyline are. you will see that the film is shit, and its all just gloss and cgi that have fooled your mind.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 Your use of profanity does not bolster your argument. Quite the opposite. The critics have spoken. And so has the moviegoing public.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain the crtics have not spoken so fondly of this movie, they all acknowledge the shitty script that avatar had. ok you understand.? you dont believe me check ebert's review. michael phillips, ao scott.
malows1234 11 months ago
@malows1234 Those are only a few. The vast majority of revies were favorable, and encouraged people to go and see this film. Repeat viewings made AVATAR the box office champion of all time. I watch it every night on cable. I can't get enough of it! DVD and Blue ray sales of AVATAR set records as well. That speaks VOLUMES. People in America and the world over have AVATAR parties. Get with it!
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago

Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 I think more highly of people than you do, sitting up on your high horse. Get down off of it, and join the rest of humanity, that you are seemingly too good for.
Beamshipcaptain 11 months ago
@Beamshipcaptain at any rate Searl claims to have LOST $1,200,000 worth in the prototypes he claims to have built based on his own estimate on the construction costs. What is worse is he some how managed to only take pictures of one. So there is only proof that 1 of the 40 he claims to have built ever even existed. Based on the evidence Searl provides he is either a con man or something far beyond the lowest level of incompetance. And own his son says the only photos he has are fake...
MrAwsome514 11 months ago
@MrAwsome514 GOD THANK FUCKING GOD, someone else actually agree that avatar was absolute horseshit. THANKS BUT BEANIE IS A STUPID ASS DUM NIGER FUK

Those fans are right. Avatar was one of the best movies of the year. It was way much better than that stupid 2012 crap. Besides, nobody does bull like that movie. This is a lot better than a movie with disasters.

jokerwild95 2 years ago 4
@jokerwild95 "its only ten dollars for a ticket???" THATS A HORRIBLE AND OVER EXPENSIVE PRICE WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!! most movies today arent even two hours long, and whenever i take my family, i end up spending about thrity five to forty dollars to see a fuckin MOVIE. 3D movies are almost fourteen dollars a ticket, not ten, i just saw it on a sign recently....
daspoon456 1 year ago
@daspoon456 3D is just a gimmick used to cut down on movie piracy. They charge you more and the technology is self serving.
TheArmy19D 1 year ago
@TheArmy19D the movies have become one of the biggest rip offs ive seens in in decades.
daspoon456 1 year ago
Heh, dont you think its wierd... Im 17 and I saw this today... When I go with my Grandschildren to see films out during thier time, this will probably be what Charlie Chaplin is to us now... Black and white, wheras back then, it was ground breaking...
This is the most amazing movie ever made, the plot was mostly self explanitory, althought I truly thought the bomb was going to hit the Tree. The Theme song made specially for it, was perfect, actors perfect, CGI OVER Perfect.. Truly extraordinary

this is the best movie ever I think that it is even better than the dark knight
who agree wiyh me ?
vivatdk65 2 years ago 13
@vivatdk65 Avatar isn't the best movie. Infact its not even close to being the best. Its more of a technical presentation. Schindler's List, The Dark Knight, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Departed, Up, Wall-E, The Hurt Locker, District 9 are all random examples of better movies.
KayWildcat 1 year ago
@KayWildcat maybe the dark knigt is as great as Avatar but the other ones you say no
vivatdk65 1 year ago
@vivatdk65 wow you people have lost your minds. What makes Avatar so great besides the amazing CGI and 3D! Anyone can make that movie with the money. In a way, the story is a remake of Pocohontas and the dialogue is corny. The movie is still amazing, but The Departed, the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy are wayyy better. Every movie I listed has a much higher sense of quality.
KayWildcat 1 year ago
@KayWildcat I doubt you've seen Schindler's List or understood Wall-E and Up to understand the great art within these movies. But forget it, you just wait for Cameron's next senseless 3D blockbuster and worship it as its the best.
KayWildcat 1 year ago
@vivatdk65 it IS way more better...
