The biggest problem I have with Rep. Weiner's argument is that somehow JUST because a nation is a democracy, it cannot also act in a tyrannical fashion.
But we don't need to look at Israel for this -- anyone with even a cursory background in our OWN (US) history ought to be aware that EVEN with the Bill of Rights, we behaved like a tyranny both to the native inhabitants of this land, and to the African-Americans who were first held as slaves, then forced into second-class citizenship.

That was embarrassing. I found it extremely hard to watch Anthony Weiner make a complete and utter fool out of himself trying to rationalize and defend Israel's occupation of Gaza. He was even ignorant enough to claim that Egypt is being run by an Islamic government. He kept trying to divert attention from the corrupt nature of Israel to talk about irrelevant topics. Looking at this debate, you would think he fully supports Benjamin Netanyahu as Prime Minster. That would be a disaster.
@skinnywhop87 I agree. He was also extremely run and condescending to the moderator, who he kept making sarcastic remarks to just for asking simple questions and actually pressing him on the issue. Weiner looked so bad that the audience was laughing at him when he made one absurd claim after another.

This is why I can't vote for him if he ever ran for President. He would not put American 1st when it came to Israel. We need a President who isn't married with children anyway so that he can make changes without threat to loss of love ones.

My uncle works in an Israeli plant that redirects water and electricity to Gaza from Israeli plants. With their billions of dollars, neither Hamas nor PLO has not invested a single dollar into infrastructure for a state since the creation of Israel, and yet they have plenty to invest into rockets. You also make it sound like genocide, when Palestinians who live in Israel have more rights than in any Arab country. All countries that wanted peace w/ Israel got it.
