okay im sorry, just had to respond to this. The ps3 is more powerful (no offense to you but WHO DOESNT KNOW THAT!) BUT, the thing is, this doesnt mean its better than the 360. It all depends on preferance. If you like the games, good exclusives, dont watch blu ray dvds, still have a standard def tv, then you know, 360 all the way. But the ps3 is a beast (at least in power)

Ahem... Why would I not buy a Xbox if I have a HD TV? You said if you have a standard def TV then you should get a Xbox. Can I ask why? More Xbox games play in 1080p than PS3 ones! Trust me I have 2 Xbox's and a PS3 And two High def TV'S. For some stupid reason the PS3 usually outputs games at 720p whereas the Xbox will output them at 1080p. And yes the optimal resolution on my TV's are 1080p for both systems. I agree,all the PS3's power being untapped by most is a shame.Thank God for Konami!

Yea of course i just want to clarify, although a lot of xbox games do play in high res, it plays normal dvds, whereas the ps3 as you would know plays blu ray. Just for sole dvd purposes with an hd tv the ps3 would work better, whereas gaming yes theres a lot of 1080p games on 360, but the ps3 is starting to use all of the blu rays disc capacity to make the games look amazing. And yea like weve both said, they arent tapping into that power quite yet.(btw xbox is awesome im not an xbox hater)

Yeah yeah I understand. I do hate the fact that the Xbox doesn't have a Blu- Ray drive. I mean I don't use the PS3 as my proprietary Blu- Ray player( I use a normal Sony one) but it would be nice if the Xbox had one for awesome games like MGS4! Thank god you're not an Xbox hater! Frankly I find that sort of thing childish! I mean who cares which console is selling more or what has more power, as long as they keep making games why should people argue! Both consoles are great! Yes it only has 2 USB ports and the panel doesn't flip up. They don't make those kinds anymore. BTW I do infact know his name is "Snake" as I have been a fan of the series probably longer than you have been alive.

Yes they would be. It depends on what you find useful. The only things inside there is memory card slots. So if you want to view the photos you just took you can slide the card in. I just use a USB thumb drive to view files.

Does your monitor have a RGB or HDMI connection? Is it HDCP compliant? You can get a HDMI to DVI converter, but unless the monitor supports HDCP it won't work. Research your monitor.
