  • This guy is dumb. Why would you not place your order online were you can see the prices and get better deals. This Rep told him everything correct. If you hated a company this bad and there customer service would you sign up with them.

  • im a gamer and when i call at&t customer service to tell them that my ping goes up and lags at night (speed also slows down) they seem as though they have never heard of these terms. How do these people get these jobs? Also they tell me that everything is fine everytime and my connection continues to suck. I cant wait to get comcast.

Hell when I got forced into it they took over my company I was on and forced us onto their contracts and I got 3 days of service per month out of then jack holes.   • @whiskeydence02 And oh yeah almost forgot, Unlimited everything that I could never hardly use was promised the $140 per month wouldn't go up but guess what!! :) it did to $190 and before the end of the month I already billed and paid the $140 they sent a bill for the remainder of the $50 for the month that I was never charged in the first place cause they hadn't yet fully taken over till after I was previously billed and have previously paid.

  • BEST INTERNET!!!?!?!? BAHAHAHA i have been flaming AT&T for the exact OPPOSITE! If i start watching a youtube vid, and i walk away for it to buffer (my wifi was showing 100%) and come back 5 mins later, only 8% of the vid will be loaded (vid is 4 or 3 mins long)

  • I would NEVER buy from AT&T. After being a tech support rep that dealt with them and their customers on a daily basis I learned that AT&T reps don't know jack shit about the plans they sell. Their tech support is so bad that I've gotten calls where the customer is NOT getting data which is a AT&T issue, and when I call AT&T to transfer the customer back to them so that AT&T can fix their own shit I had to ask for their supervisor b/c the rep said that I don't know what I'm talking about.

  • I just want to say this...what is the point of this? Why does this have to go up and place this agent on blast. It sounds to me that he's trying to do everything in his power to assist the customer. Is he being called out because of his bantuism? If we pit the customer against someone from the UK, they may say that he's ghetto. Oh and BTW...the Bantuism is not Ghetto. PLEASE STOP CALLING IT THAT. There are plenty of affluent well educated people that speak with a bantuism.

    I think every time an agent representing a corporation is caught lying to a customer, the world deserves to see it. Anything less would be Nazi censorship. You can call the dialect what you want, I don't have a problem with it... when friends are hanging out, or with family. But not in the work place when on the phone, representing a major corporation like AT&T.

  • I work for AT&T. I'm a customer service rep for residential accounts..... I am in the Hispanic group department....listening to this call is such a shame!... They're many reps like "David".... I'm sure not one of them!..,. This was an interesting video/call to see/hear..... Ha ha ha......

  • Screw Proper English I BELIEVE MORE IN PROPER EXPRESSION AND COMMUNICATION.. This brother just needs to work on arranging his words and expanding his vocabulary . Other than this guy did a good job. One thing I hate about talking proper english from blacks not all but some is once they move up in the world they lose their Soul.   • @jackhammer250 there is no such thing as talking white. Pronunciation and enunciation are two different things, there are poors speakers in every race. Not all white pronounce words correctly, just as not all black people pronounce words incorrectly. We nlack people speak the way we do because of the process of language transition from the native languages in Africa to English, compiled with other factors, such as segrated sociabilities, and suppressed education standards.

The main concern is about effective communication with other people who are also speaking english. This call had nothing do do with how the guy was speaking. The problem was what he said, not how he said it. He said patently false things. BTW there is no evidence that we have "soul", and "speaking white" says more about the accuser than the accused in many cases.

The AT& T Rep on the phone ; gave you the 411 on all the different DSL packages That AT&T were offering from the Elite to the 3.0. Also the rep mentioned a promotion deal with Elite package for 24.95 a month with fastest speed if a monthly contract was signed . He also explain that if you didn't want to be involved with a contract then you would have to pay the whole $35.00 monthly fee.

They will usually say "That this is not always available and its first come first serve, and if you don't signed up for the offering then the man down the street will plus we have limited number of elite packages and phone lines open so its best that you signed up now" Thats and old sales trick to persuade a customer to sign

My big problem wit this call is that they seem to be saying they only have so much internet to go around. As if he doesn't get it now all the internet may run out. I hate sales in general. If the rep working was presenting false information and lying about the different packages I with you on that, But explaining everything and at the same time he was somewhat emotional involved with the customers. Many reps don't get involve very well with the customers its like hi and thank you I don't want to be bother You can tell this in tone voice, and many other clues. One clue is their in a hurry and they talk real fast

  • To me this rep, while explaining the different DSL offerings his tone of voice said he wanted to be their. I know these things because I have been in the service sector before and have observe many sales clerks including my self and many are picky about who they serve. Many reps look for the slightest weaknesses and will often use that against the customer they are serving. How do i know this? I have seen it with my own eyes.. If you look or talk certain way many clerks will judge treat lesser

  • Sadly the at&t landline/dsl departs seem to lack training really bad. I work for at&t as well and have always found them to just spout a bunch of BS. The wireless reps are trained a little better depending on the call center. But even then they have one rep doing so much fuckin shit its near impossible for them to get everything 100% right.

    mmm. . when you say incorrect information, it's actually from the noobies and it's considerable. this is lame. the only negative merit here is the way the agent speak, it should be like a neutral accent. but nonetheless, he knows the product.

    when you are on a regular account, UNLIMITED DATA PACKAGE is a must especially when you are using smartphones like iphones.

    He doesn't know the product, he could not even tell me how much it costs to cancel. It is $150, and he said he didn't know how much it cost to cancel. Listen again, there are several mistakes that even AT&T admitted to and apologized.

    This has nothing to do with mobile phone service, this is all DSL internet. Did you even watch the video?

    Did you just propose turning the responsibility on the customer? I worked for MCI, possibly the worst telecommunications in HISTORY, so I have first hand experience at this, so I have been in "someone elses shoe for a fucking change". I knew the basic rules of life without any training; Speak proper english, and tell the truth. AT&T contacted me and apologized and said he did misrepresent the company, so I don't see anything worth debating.

I work in a speciality U-verse and pots office and I don't think we work too differently from the other centers, but we have to go through 3 months of training before we even begin nesting. And our turnover is ridiculous... I'm considered "a new agent" and I've been there 3 years. The last class before me was four years before I was hired. People take that job and never leave, I tell you.

    I thank you for your comments and insight. A word is defined by it's use, and I know several people that would describe this type of dialect as "ghetto". I have no problem with any race or color, as I am a minority myself, I *DO* have a problem with misuse or our language and words. When he states "You are not RELIABLE or anythang" it is not the correct use of that word, period.

  • I am sorry you had to put up with this. This is NOT how AT&T trains its employees to handle calls or customer questions.

    I work for AT&T mobility, but I have also worked AT&T landline and DSL as well and I can safely say I would give this rep a 0 call on his quality scores for misinformation, negative sales pressure, and the list just goes on.

    For those of you who hate on AT&T reps as bad, please don't think all of reps are like this. This saddens me as well.

  • ah man...can i relate..big time...i've been spun around by at&t so many fucking times,,,it;s a "flip of the coin"...as to whether you get someone who knows what their doing or not....on the technicial side...they can be brutal,,,it's pretty sad when as a new customer (4 yrs ago)..i knew more than 80% of the techs i talked to..a couple were really good..customer service is a joke,,they lie...they have ripped me off..and had to do the old,"i want to talk to your supervisor" bit,,anyway, good vid
