Does everyone here know the average Indian H-1B working in the USA sends $100,000 out of the U.S. over 6 years? That's the real reason for the capital crisis!

Being from poland and as a new computer science grad from American college my experience was exactly the contrary. It took 3 months for me to land an OK offer while most of my American classmates got offers earlier than me. Many companies came to the on-campus job fair with a 'No sponsorship for H1B's', because of the saved cost and hassles from the immigration procedures.
It is clear that many companies will not sponsor H1B if they can hire an American.
Yeah, I am sympathy here. We have so many Indian middle-level managers and they do favor Indian in hiring. Several my white classmates were turned down offers but the Indian hired were not better than them at all. We have more than 65% Indian in my department. Except the department header is white, all managers and team leaders are Indian.

Global talent? We are talking about H1Bs here: on an average 85% of H1Bs only earn about $50000/year - many earn much less - $9/hour. The talent you are referring to here would be 100K-200K/year - obviously a majority of H1B are not the type of talent you are referring to!

You are actually quite wrong if you check at the news lately. 65,000 is the cap. For 2007 150,000 applications went in, thus several immigrants with specialized skills will not be granted one. Unfortunately, the reason for the H1B to exist relies on incredible demand of unexisting american workforce (e.g. There's not enough electrical engineers).

Sometimes I did some great coding to only find an Indian who I helped, who begged me for help, later tried to take the credit.
Indians come from a very corrupt culture of their own making, reflective of their true selves.
