  • Look up "Combat Arms" and THEN come talk to me about hackers. Fuck that game and fuck Nexon America. Piece of shit company.

  • And now it's time for another, good idea, bad idea

    GOOD IDEA!

Hacking your system to play game's that you can't play normaly.

    BAD IDEA!

Hacking your system to piss off others.

  • They have been fucking us over with overpriced games and all this expansion pack bullshit and we should revolt.

  • i got a hacked console at a pawn shop tried playing online i was portaling :|

  • The worst case of hacking I have encountered is in the game MapleStory. Hackers can disconnect you, kill you, have the best stats in the game, and reach their goals with zero effort. They are a plague on that game. Even worse, the company running the game does not monitor the game and hackers can run free.

  • @MapleBedas awe.......

  • @shoulinmunkm2 HAHAHAHHA, funny. ready for movie night? hmmmm

  • not too bad of a rant, the 360 is average, but the ps3 is far more superior. so, yeah.

  • lol ps3 online fair hahaha i prefer 2 have cancer thank keep playing that cheap ass onine pc ftw and no i have ps3 i like it but online sucks

  • @SickItUpMyAss lol troll, go outside.

  • @SickItUpMyAss UMADBRO?

  • @SickItUpMyAss UMADBRO?

  • lol @ hacking, hacking implies software that allows you to aimbot/wallhack etc., you cannot do either on a console, you can use rapidfire controller but that's it, and that isn't hacking, it's a mod.

if you see someone who you think is hacking, 99.99% of the time it's just someone using a XIM3, you just suck.

  • @smro00 hacking and cracking is different, cracking is MALICIOUS hacking, that means STOP SAYING HACKING, IT IS CALLED CRACKING!

  • completely agree. I was so disappointed with the super mario all stars ... I really had wished they included super mario world, but you can download that from the VC anyway, so. I guess I just got it for the CD and the booklet. Other than that, it was pretty much a waste.

  • @oEnslaved one of my friends is a hacker and your description...is pretty accurate

  • u must be fuckin choked now

  • I have a hacked PSP soo I can play Snes games and Nes games .. But Just play Any Free 2 play massive online FPS game and they are hacked as shit. The only good thing is you can say . Fuck this game and uninstal it you won't lose any money. Problem is those people payed money for those games and that sucks .. They both a game and they got broken by other people .

  • They gone and done it again lol

  • they hack because they cant play even they pissed people off .. they can only probably do that in game not in person

  • i really miss the days of being able to just throw in a game, turn it on, and start playing it, no logging into an account, no manditory online gaming(Not all obviously) and of course releasing the WHOLE fuckin game ONCE no limited editions or game of the year editions with 1/4 more gameplay..gaming nowa days requires ALOT more tasks then just putting in the game and playing it. Not trying to hate on current gen or anything but its just not the same anymore theres more arguing then enjoyment IMO

  • @benzo8686 Now I understand why people hate stuff when it goes mainstream. Shit like what you described happens when corporations know money is to be made by exploiting the masses.

  • Also, if you wanna hack online and ruin everyone elses time, I hope your fucking DICK falls off and that you die from bloodloss. As a PC Gamer I've dealt with hacking. And after my rank reset in Cock of Doody World at Whores, I hacked to get Level 65, about the rank I WAS At. But, fuck man, hackers need to man up and make themselves GOOD AT A GAME RATHER THAN DOING BULLSHIT LIKE THIS!

  • Comment removed

  • I think its the companys' fault. Its the same model that the music industry did. They can't stop the hacks, so they start going to courts and sue. In the end, the same people that they are making games for, are the same people Sony and any other dumb company will attack. DLC's, map packs, and any other piece of crap way to get as much money off of consumers is BULLSHIT!!!!

  • i see it as this. when u buy a system u can do anything u want with it. they are getting money anyway. so whats the problem?

  • @MasterBoris86X The problem is that most hackers do it to ruin the fun for everyone else. "HAY GUESS WHAT, HEADSHOT. ROFL" Its bullshit, absolute fucking bullshit. And people use the WELL I BOUGHT IT WHY CAN'T I DO WHATEVER. And I'll TELL you why. Consoles were meant to be used a certain way. I'm not sitting here with my Genesis doing fuck-all just because "I bought it." That is bullshit, I play it the way it was meant to be played. This generation of gamers suck.

  • @MasterBoris86X I hate to say this as rude as possible, but when you're ruining the game for everyone else. NO! You do NOT fuck around with shit. I understand modding consoles to I dunno, play better, or play homebrew, even playing burnt games (This just means you're too dick broke to afford shit.) However, hacking to ruin everyone else's online is just a massive amount of bullshit, and shit like that needs to fucking stop.

  • @sekretsu i didnt say the online. i said my system. read! anyway i wouldnt wanna hack the online.

  • @MasterBoris86X Theres also the difference of "Pirating" abandonware like old Genesis and Saturn games, and pirating a game that JUST came out. People who pirate recently released software are dumb fucks.

  • I've got all the systems and I tend to stick with the Xbox. if there is a version on all the systems (really the wii version is like a ps2 version, but whatever) I own a PS3 solely for the exclusives that it gets are supremely dominant lately. I haven't really been happy with this generation of games because we just keep getting sequels for everything. Hacking has become the thing for this generation as well, from ipods to DS's to everything. Hacking is just a pain in the ass too.

  • Hacking pisses me off and it does even more so when I find that some of my friends do it! I was at level 55 in Modern Warfare 2 and I actually wantend to get to level 70 on my own without hacks. Then I ended up going on some douche bag's match who made who made it public and ended up getting to level 70 and unlocking almost everything! So then I had to prestige and start all over again!!!

  • @HyperNessie rofl of course, everybody prestiges u retard. if u don't you're a pussy

  • Last night, after just getting my new PS3 slim, due to YLOD for the 4th time on my old 60G, I rushed to play MW2, have'nt played it for some time now.. I was outraged with these f###ing hackers, what the hell is it good for?!? It's allmost every game I play, and boom, mofu hackers.. Hope Sony finds these pricks, and ban them all for life..!

    Conclusion..?

Hope they all crash and burn, and somebody cut off there fingers..

The whole YLOD issue, may also have trigged these hackers.. Sure im pi

  • I don't class playing ROMs as hacking really because like you said, a lot of retro games that have been emulated are hard as fuck to get now. And at the end of the day, even if you did actually find a copy, the company that made them wouldn't be getting any money because the only place to find them would be somewhere like Ebay, or in a box in the basement of a Gamestop or some shit like that.

  • Great rant cuz when I tried to get on Modern Warfare 2 the other day, I noticed people had hacked it, and I was warned about this weeks ago, so now I can't even get on that too much anymore. And the art of gaming has totally been overrun by this technology bullshit, all this hacking and all this shit these no pussy getting motherfuckers out here doing. Gaming now, aint shit the way I grew up playing, instead of the arcades we got PSN, and other shit, this technology fucked up everything.

  • A hacked PS3 would be awesome if you could download games for free on your PC, and then install them on PS3. Well at least i hope this is possible. Since I'm not very rich, the only games that I buy are the ones that have online. No way I will pay 60 dollars for a game that has only single player campaign, I will be a bad boy and will download it for free on my PC. I now that's stealing, and I'm going to Hell.

  • I don't mind people who pirate because these company's make a shit ton of money i don't mind prestige hackers in Mw2 or Black ops or Cod4 i mean some people don't have the time to go through prestige's and i don't mind. But when people are fucking wall hacking and aim botting and having these Fun menus to get kill streaks or some type of shit that shit pisses me off

  • My PSP is hacked and it's AWESOME. I wouldn't have it any other way! I barely download PSP games, but the old console emulators, PSX emulation and other homebrew just makes it fucking AWESOMMMME!!

  • Supposedly the next big update deal for the PS3 is some sort of thing where you can upload your save files to a Sony run server or whatnot. It's fine and dandy if that sort of thing is optional, but if it isn't I can imagine it being complete bullshit for those who never bother having their machine online. =/ Even more bullshit if the servers are constantly down.

  • I do see a point abou hacking, which if I would do it today, would be mostly developing homebew games, which right now, which I don't have to time, neither or the will of doing it at this moment. Right now, quite basically, I'm more worried about my PS3 YLODing, and then being screwed over by Sony by having to pay $130 to fix my system.

  • Thanks to these fucking hackers Sony released a 3.56 firmware update that won't let me upgrade my hard drive. This is bullshit. A selected few ALWAYS have to ruin it for everyone else. As for hacking, why? Why hack? Do people suck so bad at a game that they have to hack and cheat? Its pointless. We can't have fun anymore. And the "Homebrew" channel (Emulators/Roms) is all I play on the Wii anymore.

  • Comment removed

  • Some people are bragging about playing emulators such as SNES 9x on their ps3, but whats the damn point if you can do the exact same shit on your PC. At least pirate actual PS3 games.

  • Hacking on Video Games is like Steroids in Sports; it's the easiest way to get what you don't want to work for, but it makes your pen0r that much smaller. I myself have never hacked unless you count Action Replay and I don't even do that anymore. Whether it's Sony's or the gamers' fault, I don't know. I would say it's the gamers' fault for resorting to that level of low, but at the same time, I buy used, but like new ps3 games for dirt cheap, and not new for $60, so my view may be a bit biased.

  • I don't know really. If its hackers that got other OS removed, then hackers screwed those hackers over. Though with that other OS, you'd be bound to expect it. Its best to try to stop it first. Who knows, maybe they did try to have protection.

After that, I think it true about the rom thing. Those games are dead in the market place for the physical piece and yet Nintendo thinks their protecting it somehow. Instead its the opposite and and similar to M$ buying everything out.

  • If you thought the Super Mario All Stars for Wii was bad, there's one that's even worse. The Sly collection for PS3, which is up for $40 and all 3 games are literally the same. Besides the HD and PS move add-on(for the minigames ONLY), it's just pure bullshit since you can still get mint condition copies of all 3 games in under $10( I should know, I got Sly 1 and 2 from Amazon for $6, Sly 3 for $3 at a PX on a military base). It just seems like the companies care more for profit than quality.8/

  • @wespolly People can only take it up the ass from these companies if they CHOOSE to take it up the ass from these companies. So quiturbitchin.

  • @Playstationgamer814 pardon me, but who the fuck do you think you are to tell people what they can and can't say? FYI, I wasn't going to "take it up the ass" from these companies and instead did it the RIGHT way without getting screwed over in a deal. So "quiturbitchin".

  • @wespolly What I was saying is that people can only get ripped off by the companies if they buy their shit. Let stupid people get ripped off. It doesn't affect you. If you didn't buy it, you didn't get ripped off by them, so you have no reason to bitch and complain about it.

  • @EPICsliceOFcake

    ...

    well, alright then. my bad.8p

  • @wespolly Jesus christ, you guys whine too much..

  • @byakuya600 ...How? Only 1 comment about a game was too much whining?

  • Online gaming there will always be cheaters, and lag. That's why I don't bother with it.

  • Hacking isn't wrong though, I hack phones all the time, and I don't do it to steal anything. I do it to remove bloatware. Pirates and Hackers are different. Piracy is stealing.

  • PS3 is going to have a terrible year now... PSP is filth because of the piracy.

I agree with most of what you say on this video. Like 99%.

  • They just want to laugh and think there the shit, but in reality they suck balls at gaming.

  • As a homebrew dev, I was really excited when the PS3 was finally hacked to run unsigned code. I had the toolchain installing while waiting for the jailbreak to install. I bought a PS3 at launch, and I did use Linux until otherOS was removed. I haven't and will not pirate games. When I found out people were hex editing eboot's to cheat online, I just sighed, because of how pathetic it is. Right now, I'm just waiting to see how Sony deals with this. If it's PSP all over again, back to OFW I go.

  • I disapprove of hacking unless i it's for regon lock. Fuck regon lock

  • What's up Silent Rob? Hacking is fine is some regards but that online BS is garbage, I hacked my PS3 for one thing, the SNES version of Earthworm Jim 2, if you know emulation you'll know that Earthworm Jim 2 on the SNES is a beast to emulate perfectly, I have hacked pretty much all my systems in hope that I can play that game perfectly finally, and the PS3 delivered, its freaking awesome, but now I'll probably go back to official firmware. PS. the Genesis version's music and sound isnt better.

  • Hacking! Yay! xD

  • I did jailbreak (hack) my system but you can't really do anything after you've do that, all you can do is play emulators, and back up your games so I was like fuck this and I went back to Sonys original firmware

  • Thats something that pisses me off about the nintendo 3ds all the fuckin launch games for that thing are nintendo 64 games that we've already fucking played, and to be honest metal gear solid 3d looks fuckin stupid I think I'll stick to the ps2 version (or the HD versions that will come out on the ps3 soon)

  • Thumbs up ikf you want Rob to talk about Black Ops, that would be interesting to see.

  • I love the 360 and ps3 :). the thing that piss's me off about the 360 is that Micro DICK suck can't make a fucking console that can last for at least 4 years.

  • @shadowvowed187 Ive had my xbox for 3 years and its still running great I havnt had one problem yet and really most of them dont brake down anymore unless theyre an original one

  • You make excellent arguments. I personally would only consider hacking a second PS3 for the old roms of games that are extreamly difficult to find and buy for a fair price. I can afford PS3 games, so I wouldn't play pirated PS3 games. When I see videos of gamers showing the old school game roms, I get this rush of a retro feel, but in the end, if I hacked a console, I would still feel like a thief.

  • HACKING IS BULLSHIT- NUFF SAID

  • Gamefly if you don't want to spend 60 dollars for games that you finish in 7 hours. Overall the cost is way lower just spending 20-50 dollars a month for As for gaming, we are at the beg of a new era in gaming...Internet Fusion. Where the game becomes a life, its not about challenging yourself, getting that rush nearing the end of a Mario level, or the feeling of accomplishment you get beating a game, A REAL GAME. Its all about the pretty colors, Our games are gone. Hard mode is now easy.

  • Hackers always fuck shit up, gaming si going down becuase of the fucken trolls on the internet, perfect example? Noob tubers in mw2 people just take something good and abuse the shit out of it and fuck it up for everybody same with hackers.

  • there are people who go to gamestop and buy used games, play them within the 7 days and return them; is it gamestop's fault because they are an evil company? People say they do this because they despise the fact that gamestop overcharges for used games...and try to abuse their own policy to get back at them for overpriced used games.

  • I play roms and though I buy most of my PC games, I'll occasionally download one from a company that I don't care for. But I agree with you that gaming is really hit or miss of late. Games are leaning heavily towards online play, but unfortunately the online experience fuckin sucks for most games. Trolls are out there hacking every game and most companies are too damned cheap to bother trying to combat them with patches. The casual gamer who just wants to play is the one getting screwed.

  • Yeah, $ony fuck

  • Other OS was taken off the console because of hackers. They only had themselves to blame for it. Buuut, Sony looks like the assholes and the hackers look like Robin Hood fucking wannabes . No one bitches about the hackers making things worse for the legit gamer. We're not allowed to because they're "heroes" or some other shit. Fuck the hackers, all of them. If you wanted Linux so fucking bad, buy a goddamn PC!

  • Honestly its both, but you DONT have to play online. Sony is a very greedy company( all 3 videogame countries are at sometimes) But dont let a bunch of hacker douches ruin your love of gaming.

    My opinion on hacking:

OK: Personal use, level ups anything non multiplayer

    Not Ok: Multiplayer, online.

  • @TaInTeDlYnX I agree, but there needs to be a balance, too much copy protection can become a huge hassle to people who buy legit games, and that can make them want to pirate because the hacked games are easier to run.

  • I agree with you Rob. I do some occassional emulation and such, but if its a game that is readily available to buy new where the people behind the game will actually get money if I buy their game, but Im not beyond using Roms to play games you cant buy officially. I dunno if the people who hacked the PS3 was telling the truth if the Installer Other OS option wasn't removed and they wouldn't have hacked it, Im sure somebody else at least would have.

  • @FREAKFANATIC AMEN

  • hackers need to do something else with their time

  • Hackings for pussies!!!

  • My prediction for the future means flash media. Video games will need to be connected to the Internet in order to work. Selected games will be loaded onto the system where they are played directly from a server.

If games are sold in stores, they will be on cards (possibly flash cards or similar media) that have short loading times, resistance to piracy and possibly "gate" files that can only be passed by being connected to the Internet.

  • Gaming is about money. Pure and Simple. Don't Like it? As far as gaming companies are concerned you can get fucked. Hack it to make it better? As far as gaming companies care, they'll just sue you. You are a consumer, not a gamer. Buy it and shut up. That's all they wan't. Sadly these days anyone who tries to do a decent job and happens to make a lot of money because of that, will immediately be bought out by a major game company then turned into a fucking franchise.

    Money. That's it.

  • Also Sony lied when they said PS3 slim couldn't run an alternative OS, they lied and just disabled the feature out of spit. Whatever hell that rains down on them, they deserve. Sony did the first blow, everything since has been self defense.

  • @RunandGunPictures You obviously didn't watch the video. They took out the OS because of hackers

  • @crazedchrizz You obviously didn't do your own research, cause I actually followed this shit from early on.

  • The reason the hacking took place was because they changed the agreement and fucked everyone who bought it to run Linux and use as a home entertainment system and the Air Force who bought a ton of them for the purpose of using them to run Linux. It’s Sony’s fault for removing it via a forced firmware upgrade. So it’s consumer revolt and Sony’s revolution is neigh, down with the empire. As for hacking games themselves, that’s pointless and lame.

  • I agree. Gaming is definitely not what it used to be.

  • It's a hostile volatile world wide web.

  • I've never gotten into the whole online gaming scene. I get a lot of the new titles but I'm still in the mindset of having a few cold ones and shooting the fuck out of a guy sitting next to me. You can't beat that atmosphere.

  • they should aknowledge all of these possible things that hackers could do before they release the console. and seriously, whats so fun about hacking? dont u want to be legit? dont u want to work toward your goal? its like wtf is the point in buying a game if u dont want to have fun with it and just hack it and get nothing out of it. the point is your supposed to have fun with gaming not be a stupid little fucking 10 year old no life fucking faggot that doesnt get shit out of it.

  • @PyramidFace87 I'm a Nintendo fan and I'm fucking pissed about that release.

I expected a remake of the game. Or at least the menus to be customized for the Wii. I mean, the controller config still shows the SNES controller? Are you kidding me? And like Rob said they didn't include Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island, and beyond that the soundtrack CD isn't even orchestrated and the "history" booklet is 32 pages of nothing.

  • Subscribed!

  • as far as technology goes sony has been a step ahead of nintendo since the ps1. i don't think there's anything wrong with playing roms for older consoles since your not costing the company anything at this point.

  • I don't play online nor pirate new games but in my mind, video games nowadays are not worth my time or money for "generic fps number 5" and "generic action game with super serious story" I agree with your statement"video games aren't as fun as they used to be" but at the same time,I don't agree how you made out everyone that hacks their consoles as pirates.I haven't bought a game new for a few years but that doesn't mean I'm going to hack my ps3 to pirate games.I'd do it for homebrew games/linux

  • Rob you made a good point people out there are killing the video game industry and some people don't have a open mind to games now it's like all people care about is Call Of Duty, Gears Of War and Halo WTF

  • @Sdzamarron That's because that IS what everyone cares about. And I don't mean that in a good way.

  • Hacking is killing gaming. Both Piracy and in online gameplay.

  • @DraculaXHunter101 Hacking has been around for a LOOOOOOONG time. Its been dealt with before and you can deal with it now. It ruins games, but it doesnt ruin gaming... 360 had 'modded' phases and MS dealt with it. HUNDREDS of PC games go through hackers but alot of them most of them actually arnt affected by them, theyve dealt with them and they respond to them VERY quickly if hackers do come. Sony has to just step their game up and do something about their shit.

  • rob that ending sumed u how i feel about gaming now a days. sure there are alot of good games but with all the bull shit we have to go through( RROD and hackers ) its just not the same any more. people keep holding gaming back because there cheep asses.

  • @MEXiCan8890 I think gaming and the people who play games nowadays is holding it back.Gaming is going the way of the movie industry, And by that I mean making games in genres that are "safe bets". It's the reason a handful of good games that a few years ago that would've gotten imported, don't get imported to the US because they aren't "good sellers". If that weren't the case we would probably see games like Ape escape and Gundam.

  • @zeldajunkielol2 agreed. its more of a drama lama then something of leisure now

  • was this the jailbreak?

    hacktronics.co.uk/PS3-Jailbreak-PS3-3-55-Tutorial(dot)html

  • I thought that PS3 love song parody that you made on your old channel was funny. I would suggest reposting that on this channel. But as for the hacking, I think it's both the fault of Sony and the hackers. Sony shouldn't have taken away Linux and the hackers shouldn't have hacked the system and ruin gaming fro everyone else. But personally, I don't need linux on my PS3 so it didn't bother me when they took it away. If I wanted Linux, I'd just buy a PC.

  • Lately, I play a lot of older games on emulators and I have a good time (for the most part, when I'm not playing shitty games for reviews, that is). Gaming is definitely not what it used to be when we grew up.

I completely agree with you on this, Rob. It's one thing to cheat in order to beat an extremely difficult game but a person shouldn't cheat online because it does indeed ruin other peoples' good time.

  • Chad warden is now a sad gangsta.

    NO BALLIN!

    T-T

  • Bobby Kotick is the devil

  • Agreed. I'm furious because it screwed up my WaW game. When I was playing online, somebody hacked and it made it so I couldn't level up and earn more weapons.

  • i dont even play online anymore

  • Ever heard of "you only have fun if you're winning?"

That's my theory why some people hack.

  • @12gloom If you know you're going to win, it's not fun. The challenge is what's fun about games.

  • @willo1345 true that. I mostly play for the challenges, not easy victories.

  • I have the homebrew channel on my Wii and it's always a laugh to see Nintendo release a menu update with a purpose solely on blocking homebrew and then weeks later, have everything reworked to be compatible with the latest update. I have the HBC because I like the media players and emulators. If I can play an NES game for free on the computer, I think it only makes sense for me to emulate it on the Wii. I may have the ability to cheat on online games, but I don't because I know it ruins the fun.

  • @Ooabloka Wii actually bans people for cheating, but not just for loading games from the hard drive, which is cool. It really sucks how piracy hurts sales, but think about buying used games. It doesn't support the developers either. I think what works is paying for online passes like some of the new EA sports titles, that way they can recover money from used game sales (and possibly piracy).

  • @ThisIsEDX

Online passes don't cost you money per month or year, do they? It would be terrible for other gaming platforms to adopt the 360's online structure where gamers have to pay a fee for having online, but not for using it.

I have an R4 and I used to download DS games for it. I later decided that any game I downloaded which entertained me from start to finish deserved to earn money. That's why I bought games like Phantom Hourglass and Kirby SS Ultra even though I initially got them free.

  • @Ooabloka No, they don't. They are a one time fee, for now at least. I think the developers of games should get some sort of compensation for their efforts, and I think it's a good compromise.

  • Rob, I see your point about Linux being removed but let's not fool ourselves shall we? The only reason people care about the PS3 getting hacked is to pirate games - THAT is what people care about, nothing more, nothing less.

I do not hack or pirate myself and It's absolutely sickening the mentality of some people who pirate games thinking that they should get everything for free, most pirates do not care about videogames at all

  • OMG PPL DID YOU HERE THE NEWS, HACKERS (MYSELF) FOUND A WAY TO UNPACK THE MP_DATA FILE FOR BLACK OPS 360 AND PS3, AND WILL BE RELEASING PATCHES IN A WEEK ON NEXTGENUPDATE

dont flame me, i hack to learn things, and like i said b4, i keep my hacks in private matches, im not a 12 yr old fuck face that puts on god mode in a search n destroy and ruins all the fun

  • i don't know what sony is doing HACKING brings MORE buyers, i have 1 PS3 slim, but when taxes come im telling my parents to buy me 4 more. And its true, i get into ALOT of hacked lobbies for mw2 ONLINE.......challenge lobbies were meant for offline/ranking ppl up for a profit, but now these 12 yr oids hosting lobbies and mass deranking people and putting on godmode...i dont exept that...i host lobbies but i keep them in private matches

  • i was playing mw2 on ps3 yesterday my bottom of my screen said you got fuking owned my clan tag was cunt and my stats were reset

  • I'm totally with you Rob. However I don't think this will end gaming. How many people use limewire to illegally download music and videos all the time. Yet Itunes is still going strong. There's always going to be people, who are sensible and want to support the game industry and know the only way to do that is to finance them with your purchases. There will always be the people who are afraid of screwing up their PS3, or don't know or care how to hack. I think we're seeing a vocal minority.

  • from what i understand the 360 has been hackable for quite a while now and is still selling reasonably well..publishers are still releasing games for it and things are carrying on as normal..why is the ps3 hack so much more of a crisis?

  • I don't agree with hacking quality new release games. Go ahead and emulate older games I don't care, but I don't think people should say, pirate a new release game because it screws the devs over if they make a quality product. If you were to hack like, Naughty Bear, go ahead.

  • I dont' play cod games on my ps3 only on my 360 but I experienced hackers while playing GT 5 online and it's no fun trust me.

  • I'm a programmer and i understand the hackers mentality. Its not a bad thing itself, its like kratos getting to the pandora box in god of war 1.

they want to understand the system, get full control of it, for the challange, for learning all that good stuff. its like engineers studying nuclear reactions, but those end up getting used to creat bombs and kill people.

  • @GamesPlayer1 the negative side of all this is everybody's fault. people not buying and want to pirate games and companies trying to fuck us over all the time (aka Microsoft) and in this case Sony for removing functionalities.

I hope the no life people won't disturb my online fun...

  • @GamesPlayer1 Well put that exactly what hackers are. But then some have to go out of their way to make it possible to pirate games and dick around online.

  • @viperman240 that's correct.

p.s. man its been a while since the last time we talked...i geuss we both got very busy irl, hope to talk to you soon.

  • you know what i can see happning one day? sony will just say fuck it and get rid of online gaming all together. or have every game having a mod with'in the game to stop the hacking shit

  • @MyOwnPrison85 I think they would lose way too much money doing that, it's an online market now.

  • i think hacking is all around dumb cuz in the end some how you will be band off line

  • This is a huge problem for Sony and the PS3. I do not condone hacking they are just doing it because they are pissed off and they wanna piss Sony off. At the same time Sony fucked a lot of people by removing the other OS. From what I understand the only way Sony can fix the problem is by creating another iteration of the PS3. This huge problem on what should be Sony's biggest year yet for the PS3.

  • @quinn959 again, the removal of OS was still the hackers fault.

  • I'm kinda scared to play black ops now. - -"

  • If you hack and you stay offline, then thats fine. But the second you go online and fuck people over who play fair, then you can fuck off. I don't get how there can be any fun had when you know you will win every time! And why does it always have to be those annoying fucking 10 year olds who think they are hot shit when they lick balls at the game doing this this? WHY?!!!!!

  • @swedishfish110193 My thoughts exactly, I can't even put into words how sad the people doing it on multiplayer must be..

  • @LokizarroX It's pathetic, it really is. Then on top of it, they talk mad shit like they are "1337" or whatever, when it they weren't cheating, you could wipe the goddamn floor with them!! Gaming is going downhill fast, and it's all because of a few assholes.

  • @swedishfish110193

this. I dont hack games, because I actually enjoy playing the damn things the way they intended it to play. I only put in a GBA emulator, a SNEs emu, and a NES one. I dont believe in piracy, which is why I want to buy a second PS3 to remain unhacked.

  • @ThingxHulk If you just hack to use emulators, I think its fine to have it hacked, since you aren't ruining anyones gaming experience or stealing games. But you probably should get another PS3 if you want to go online so you won't get in any trouble.

  • @swedishfish110193

thats what I was planning on doing with my income taxes.

  • My playstation was hacked on Christmas. It's totally destroyed and doesn't work at all. I had to restart the system and get rid of all my memory, and it STILL doesn't work. I might send it in to Sony and make those fuckers fix it.

  • "What do hackers get out of hacking PS3 games other than pissing people off"

EXACTLY!! FUCKING EXACTLY! this is exactly what I was asking myself the other day, someone I actually know in my college class hacks in MW2 online and he finds it fucking fun and hilarious, it's PATHETIC, it provides you with NO challenge, what the fuck is the point? does it make you feel accomplished in any way? FUCK NO, if you do it in a single player game, whatever, but in mutliplayer, it's unacceptable.

  • @LokizarroX

A guy in college does it? That's pretty pathetic. I mean I get it kind of when little 12-14 year olds do it because they're stupid and have no perspective. However if you're doing it in college, than you're an idiot, plain and simple.

  • @NIN992 Yeah the guy is 19 years old and is in my class for Travel and Tourism, he's a bit of a recluse too in all honesty

  • I haven't watched the video but I'm about to, let me start by saying that I went on Modern Warfare 2 the other day for the first time in ages, the FIRST TWO free for all matches I joined had hackers in them, shooting through walls while free aiming with a sniper rifle, magically killing everyone, the other guy seemed to have dropped 1,000ft from the air and was accessing these "codes", that's what I saw on the killcam

what do I think of it? pathetic, it ruins the multiplayer for everyone else.

  • my ps3 got hacked a few days ago.

I must have accidently been in a hacked MW2-Lobby.

I ranked up mysteriously fast, during this day.

    I reached Level 70 in just 25 minutes !!!

All of my games were unplayable since the day, that happened.

Got a new one 2 days ago, now everythings fine.

  • Oops I crapped my pants!

  • I have a modded XBox1 and play burned games on my Dreamcast, but those consoles are already dead. Plus, I do buy the games for them when I find them. I mostly just used burned games to try games out (or play imports). I do think it's bullshit to do on a current console, though. PS3 games aren't that much. I've got most of my ps3 games used or on sale. The last few games I bought at KMart had a $10-$30 gaming coupon, and I got NBA Jam new on Amazon for $30 the other day.

  • I've never had an NES or SNES because they were around before my time. I can go to GameXChange and get an NES or SNES. I want to ask you, should I do that, or get ROMs?

  • I've been playing Call of Duty 4 recently and that game has an infestation of hackers. They do the infinite ammo hacks and one where you can run all the way across the map in like 3 seconds. One guy even completely changed the graphics and sound effects. But I didn't mind. Every body had the same thing so no one had an advantage. I had fun with it. In fact when I went to un-hacked lobbies I had less fun because they pissed me off.

  • Hack will always be, just like sliced bread. It can bring good things (like Team Fortress) or negative (like ban, new updates whch pisses people off). It is no once fault... maybe in this case Sony's fault because they challenged the hackers by saying "our system is unbeaten". There is no 100% safe system. Everything is able to be hacked... hell, you can even hack living people.... but it won't look nice ;D

And yes, I both the Wii 25th Mario Disk... don't hate me for being a Nintendo stalker XD

  • I really dont see a reason to hack my system, even though I could if I wanted to

-roms? no thanks. I like owning a physical copy. with the PC I will pirate until my cutlass is dull, but with consoles I want to actually own the games.

-hacking trophies? thats just fucking weak

-hacking online? I dont do that either, becuase im not a pussy.

im not interested in doing this stuff and it hasnt affected me yet. probably becuase I dont play in online matches anymore. Im not really worried about this.

  • I like hacking when it is used for homebrew or whatever. Cheating is just retarded and unfair.

  • Personally, I'm pretty on the fence when it comes to hacking.........I find only mild thrill in certain consoles these days cuz I just don't see an interest in hacking my console and having it fuck up just to be assed out when I can't replace it........I do play ROMs but only on shit like the DS cuz emulators make it safe, otherwise I stay far away from the idea of hacking consoles even if it's for free, I'm honestly fine paying for them

  • everytime we get something good in the gamming industry, a few idiots ruin it for the rest of us, and unfortunately, it's always gonna happen...hackers & 12 yr olds are gonna destroy our way of life game wise.

  • Hacking is the best thing that happened to the ps3...

...until you use it to give yourself an advantage.

    Homebrew = win

    Cheating = FAIL

    And I use roms too. : )

  • Modern Warfare 2 was glitched the fuck up to begin with, it was already filled with people using glitches to win and fucking up everybody's good time.

  • Agreed

  • Lol , Steam games are unplayable because of 10 year old hackers . Ive been playing counter strike for like 5-6 years and back then it was good times , but now any server you join theres hackers , always . So PC gaming is pretty much dead imo because of hackers . Now theres hacked consoles? Fail

  • I say Super Mario All-Stars is a nice collection package they just decided to release, and that its only for collectors who want the DVD and Soundtrack that comes with it.

Also, you're right, gaming isn't what it used to be, while Im still interested in some modern games, I'd say the older games/systems were better, and that is why whenever I play modern games its usually Wii and underrated, overlooked games.

  • I hack my consoles but I wholeheartedly agree with staying offline. Online and modding should never mix. That should be the price one pays to get those 1337 hax. I keep my 360 unmodded for online games. Emulators and doom ports are good times, but the PS3's ability to play pirated games isn't as good as say, the wii. A ton of games don't work and probabally never will. If game developers can figure out why those games don't work, then possibly they can turn the tide against piracy.

  • I never gamed as a little kid like you probably did, but it seems like it was more about fun back in the 80s or 70s or whenever the first consoles were released. I can imagine playing Super Mario Brothers with friends over and having a blast. Of course, I am tainted by the expectations of games now so I don't know if I could play any of the old games and look at it the same way that kids back then did. The most classic I got was Pokemon: Silver/Gold/Crystal ROMs for the visual boy advanced.

  • @IPwnYou4Eva Games are for fun. I agree with you. Perhaps the companies have forgotten that...
