Im a USC fan and this kid is a disgrace to our reputation and it is people like him that cause every one to think USC is a trashy and classless school
@heywoodjublome1: Do you recall the game in 2006? My co-workers from Westwood taunted me for 2 weeks after the game. I wouldn't blame this kid for doing this. Fight On!!!
This kid has no class I would say the same thing if it were a bruin fan doing the same thing but this kid will never put on a real jersey and play the game on a real field but will watch from the stands or the couch and trash talk from there no class or sportsmanship at all
oh cmon guys chill out, this kid is just animated, passionate and he has a lotta fun...reason I say this, I sat a a row up and a few seats away from him at the usc v. washington game....he was hilarious got up for every third down cheered at all the right moments, and was a great all around presence to be around. he made me laugh a few times watching him cheer and now even more so to see he was filmed lol. great shit hope to see him next year as passionate as ever
i dont wana hear it from ucla fans about this i dont know how many million times i had to hear 13-9 13-9 even after they lost a few times after that still 13-9 till this year haha
ppl take this rivalry too seriously, if u go to usc i understand the trash talk but sad when ppl that never went there start talking bad about a schools sports team when they dont go to either school.
there is nothing wrong with what he is doing. he is just having a good time after a 50-0 victory over our biggest rival. fucla fans need to stop bitching and take it, considering all the trash your former joke of a coach would put out to the media.
Bottom line is ucla has a new coach every four years and the new coach always comes up with some false fraise about ending USC's dominance . It never happens and coach neuheisel talked more shit about SC than other coaches . ucla fans actually believe the crap they hear about there team closing the gap . Especially over the last few years , so when we deliver a beat down like we gave on Saturday it confirms the TROJAN dominance over ucla and leaves absolutely no doubt that we are the ONLY colle
This kid was happy that we won. Was he gloating? Yes. But, he wasn't throwing things or starting fights. He may have been a bit obnoxious to bruin fans and the band but he did not make it personal or escalate it beyond his dance routine
This kid is awesome. I am a SC student and I find this hilarious. If you don't want us to shuffle in your face, stop us from destroying you, it's that simple. #SWAG. Get a new coach! Football and Basketball!
I was at the game on Saturday, and it was my first time in the Colliseum. Trojan fans are the most undignified, deplorable group of people i've ever encountered in my life. The entire stadium chanted "one more year" when ucla's QB was injured and taken off the field. Someone poured coke on the ucla marching band during their POST game performance. I've been to the Rose Bowl, Memorial Stadium, and Stanford Stadium, and I've never seen this sort of behavior from any of their fans. Stay classy, SC.
@sacredrage I know know what it means, friend, but it is absolutely inappropriate to chant for the return of their quarterback, while UCLA's quarterback was lying injured on the field. Every other game I've been to, including USC vs UCLA @ the Rose Bowl, the players took a knee, and the crowd/student section/band has had the decency and respect to sit down and keep quiet when there was an injured player on the field. I expected SC to do the same, even despite their [warranted] hostility.
@j3nnsz you should be really happy that the USC band kept their dirty cheering to a minimum and that "Tusk" wasn't played a single time until almost every Bruin fan had left the Coliseum...
@hardw0od As if a 50-0 loss didn't tell us enough? It's unsettling to see such a celebrated sport get plagued with so much bad sportsmanship. Gloating is a shallow act that tears apart the ethos that keeps sports enjoyable, regardless of rivalry.
@USCengnr08 Actually, they were playing Tusk during the UCLA Band's post game performance (which is normal for two bands to be playing at once.) Granted there were few Bruin fans left (I mean, who can blame them), but they and the band were ultimately blocked by the big set of bleachers at the end zone. That's when the dude poured coke on them.
And if Saturday was an example of minimal dirty cheering, then I lament the current state of humanity, where football is valued over common decency.
What's with all this "I expect it from a Bruin or Cal or Stanford" talk. Surprise surprise, there are people like this for EVERY school. So don't be dumb and generalize. Stay classy.
@JinJKid Maybe it IS based on this person's experiences at certain games involving those teams. To be a target of Bruin trolls you simply wear cardinal - SC's primary school color. You will recieve every cuss word imaginable, plus some new putdowns perfrected by America's worst generation. They are all getting so bad that draconian resptrictions may be needed to save a role for fans in future rivalry games out hear and elsewhere. SC can handle the Bruins, as long as we win in football!
I'm a Trojan alum and I don't appreciate this behavior at all. Honestly, it's the kind of crap I'd expect out of a Bruin (granted - the kid is all of 13 years old so he gets a bit of a pass) but someone needs to help him understand how to win with class.
@sacredrage Agreed. This is Bruin or Cal Bear (Stanford too) behavior. First of all, just where the hell is the Bruin band going? Is this before the game? Did they seat them in the rafters? I don't recall seeing (or hearing, which was a blessing) UCLA's band during the entire game (on TV). This kid should have been escorted to the exit by one of those "security" people. He was a nuisance, and a classless embarrassment to real Trojans. The 50-0 whipping on the field is all any Trojan need say!
@redletter2008 The UCLA band/student section were seated on the side of a set of huge bleachers at the endzone- easily the worst seats in the Coliseum. A lot of us couldn't even see the field. Also, this was after the game when the band left late to go back to the busses, since it was unsafe for us to go any earlier. I didn't see the shuffling kid, but there were plenty of other obscenities. A man (kids dad?) mocked how slow we moved up the stairs. We were exhausted. He was fat. Shameful irony.
@j3nnsz I have sat in the same area before & had no problem seeing the game (you are up high enough to see entire field). Perhaps the Bruin band didn't want to see what was going on down there, but you COULD see if you wanted. I warmly recall the '06 game when Bruin fans blinded an SC fan trying to leave what you might consider "Pleasantville" after SC fans were subjected to taunts, insults, projectile objects after a last-minute (& RARE) win by UCLA. At least most Bruins were LONG gone in '11!
@redletter2008 Also, to be honest, I think it's less of the actual SC student body and more of the general fanbase. Of course UCLA also has some classless bastards just as SC and every other college, but when it comes down to it, UCLA and USC are pretty comparable in both academics and demographic, yet SC is considerably more vehement towards our football rivalry. I'm willing to that guess the location and surrounding community have something to do with it. And probably alcohol too.
@j3nnsz I agree with much of what you said, except the part about SC being more vehement towards the rivalry. I seem to remember Bruin fans BLINDING an innocent man after UCLA's '06 win at the Rose Bowl. Also, Trojan fans do not corner the market on obnoxious behavior at this game. I vividly recall the arrogant, mean-spirited & classless actions of MANY Bruin fans at both stadiums during UCLA's 8-yr. win-streak. IMO, UCLA fans have far more hatred towards SC. They are obsessively hateful too.
@redletter2008 Then I can only assume it's died down a lot since then (probably because of how embarrassing our football team is.) My judgment is based on the observations of my close friend who goes to SC, what I saw at the game on sat, and the SC game @ Rose Bowl last year. My pal told me about hazing rituals the SC band imposes on people who wear blue to practice. UCLA's drumline wears red before every SC game just to troll the rest of the band. I guess victory brings out the worst in people.
I was talking about you bro. This kid was just being a jerk, like a lot of SC fans tend to be when dealing with UCLA. You unnecessarily took it to a whole different level.
@D34dlySpork We were advised not to react to any hecklers. If they gave us the finger, we gave them a thumbs up. We were heavily warned of theft. Taller people were to march on the outside in parade block, as violence was a real concern. In the past, fans have grabbed smaller band members and taken off. Someone once had a full can of soda thrown at their head. Open ketchup packets, cape pulling, tripping... Sure, punching the kid would have been great, but it's not worth sinking to their level.
@john123wayne ...enough of that shit - it nearly got a Giants fan killed at the Dodger game. Just let it go. They already had a big a$% parking lot brawl the year before. And trust me, i know. I'm a Raider fan, and they cancelled the Battle of the Bay pre-season game with the Niners due to fighting. People need to maintain...PERIOD.
