I'm from Amsterdam and I stayed in Wednesbury for a week in 2003. I remember the conservative club near a park, the large bingo hall and the tram to Wolverhampton, West Bromwich or Birmingham. It's not the most inspiring town I've ever been to, but nice to see this film.

I've lived in Wednesbury most of my life (originally from Charlemont), and it's true there isn't much to the town at all. But the people I know are lovely and it's where I call home now. I'm Black Country through and through and proud of it, if I move away from the Black Country I won't lose it. Now it's up to the council to improve the area for future generations. steve bull was suposedly murdered by paul garmston also of wednesbury but the official report said there was a clash of heads accidental death. This happened on darlaston road in the late 80's but garmston was killed in a motorbike accident a couple of years later so i guess we will never know. there is a plaque on the wall on one of the industrial units there on the muklow trading estate.

i respect the town - i dont know how so many people got that impression - what i dont respect is how its been reduced and neglected - and the fact people have been offended by this video is shameful - part of what makes a town a good one is that the people come together to aid the problems - how can problems be fixed if people dont want to hear of them?
