The thing that is messed up in addition to that, is that he was also going to reinstate the states under the original Constitution, minus slavery obviously, and not under the 14th amendment provisions describing citizens. Third of all, SAS are special forces, not an "anti-terrorist regiment" which doesn't exist.

It was oor turn to be posted to the maginot line which was cushy as it was considered the safest part of the front!! It was just oor misfortune that the Germans chose this point to launch the attack n we got left behind the rest of the BEF!! ......Typical Scottish luck but thats the way we like it!!

The rebel army was raised by Claverhouse after he stormed out of Edinburgh when the Scottish Parliament itself branded the king a traitor and stripped him of is throne. Neither side was fighting 'for Scotland' they were fighting over who should sit on the Scottish throne. Claverhouse had no real option as he had been the chief persecutor of Presbyterians during the Restoration. The vast bulk of both armies were Scots.

Second of all the Royal Marines Commando go through a much more demanding and longer training regime than the US Marines. The training a US Marine would go through is about the same quality as that of a British Infantryman. The US equivalent to the Royal Marines Commando would be Force Recon or US Army Rangers.
Third of all, SAS are special forces, not an "anti-terrorist regiment" which doesn't exist.
