Hi friends.., I bought a Gunnar today, this looks great until now, but I have one question, any of you see different the environment walking at the street with any gaming gunnar? I have gaming Gunnar, when I look at the monitor I see all fine, but if I walk at street and use and quit the Gunnar in alternate order I see a different environment and a different distance of the things or other persons walking. Have the Gunnar any increase in lens vision? If yes wich is the number? Answer anybody!!

Yellow tint glasses help with eyestrain, and can make it easier to differentiate between moving objects and the background. You can pick them up for $1-$5 at your local grocery store. These are made out of the exact same material, they're just overly expensive because their target demographic consists of morons.
@Jinbeei Uhh not sure if you will be able to return them to Best Buy; you would have to ask them before purchasing. But these aren't too expensive at least so if you don't like them...it's not too much money that's wasted/spent.

All I can say is that everybody is different and people have different likes, dislikes, and opinions. I would really recommend the use for computers of white backsplash/backgrounds like youtube because they reduce that glare/brightness down a lot. Hope everything turns out alright for you.

@Delc0 I bought some yesterday and every time that i expose these to bright light the lenses have microscopic particles on them that wont go away no matter how hard i clean them with the cloth provided. Can you please check if yours are like that? Or did i get some faulty ones?

@weapondrift The tech. is different, for example sunglasses are not all the same sunglasses. Example, polarized vs non-polarized. Have you seen the Oakley lenses tech videos. They have tons of research put into those for non-shattering prevention. Gunnar has also put effort in designing the glasses so they curve correctly to create an inner dome/atmosphere as well as various layers in the lens to prevent reflective glare. This "yellow" just doesnt make it yellow but distinguishes things
@weapondrift you could try yellow tint glasses but all you will get is probably yellow tint. Gunnars don't make everything yellow either. And I'm not trying to sell anything, just what I think of them. I guess you have to try them to understand and see the "tint". If your eyes are fine then don't buy them. Um, for those that haven't figured it out, the gunnars aren't meant to be worn 24hrs a day. They are supposed to help with eyestrain and vision stress. If you game a lot, they help with eyestrain. If are staring at computer monitors all day, they help too. Your head and eyes dont have to feel on fire to have eyestrain. Research!

Great review! I do graphic design for a living, so I'm looking for the "crystal" lens version... the yellow ones would throw off my color management. Those crystal ones are hard to find nowadays except for a pair that are $150 on the manufacturer site, which I'm not feeling that glasses design. Anyway thanks for the heads up!

Thanks fx splash. I really use my glasses for the computer mainly. Sometimes when my eyes are tired, I'll wear them when I tutor and I'm not on the computer most of the times when I tutor. But they really are soothing to the eyes and don't distort color. I get the effect where things look kind of dull after taking them off. I really enjoy my gunnars and don't know any other company like Gunnar but if I were to buy another pair it would be the e-sport because of the different ear frames

hey, so i have been in a long debate about whether or not to get the Gunnar Glasses. I play alot of halo, and other video games, should i get them? is it worth it?
I use these glasses more for computer work than gaming.... they don't make my gaming worse and I seem to be more relaxed when I wear them. One thing about my glasses are the frames pinch my head when I wear my headset so make sure to get the e-sport edition which have special frames meant for wearing headsets as well. I like mine and my eyes are really less fatigued at the end of the day.

I guess I gotta tell you a funny story... since I've been researching on these glasses I studied up on CVS computer vision syndrome and that was one of the codes that came up our on our coding and transcription class and I told them what it stood for and they were like how do you know that? I shrugged and lol-ed but anyways my class is made entirely of females so I'm hesitant on wearing the glasses more heh.
They fit really well and I thought they would slide but they don't even though I have a smaller face, not as prominent nose, and I like them. One thing is your temples will get pinched with the pipeline frames when wearing a headset
ya you could but they do have a slight magnification on the glasses...so depending on how much of a change/the amount of correction your eyes need I would recommend getting them prescription. Ask your insurance company and you can get them for cheap because they do count as like medical/beneficial

Um, for those that haven't figured it out, the gunnars aren't meant to be worn 24hrs a day. They are supposed to help with eyestrain and vision stress. If you game a lot, they help with eyestrain. If are staring at computer monitors all day, they help too. Your head and eyes dont have to feel on fire to have eyestrain. Research!

dude frikin love the vid i found out about them on facebook in the advertisement bar on the! i said to myself damn they look sweet and just got the new halo reach 360, and i wear prescription OAKLEYS, and they sure as hell dont look as awsome as the gunnars

@1990mrhonda awesome man. I also got halo reach and I pretty much suck at it lol. I get lot of my kills with grenades and beat downs but the beat down is weaker in this game. I'm in up in your face halo player to get my kills I guess. My DMR seems like 100 shot kill lol.

I have eye inflamitory infection from hours a day in front of a computer screen,I really wish I bought these before hand. In other words if you purchase these for console play its just stylish you might as well wear sunglasses...

@foxwright heh lol...I wouldn't be the one needing to articulate...I would be the one deciphering the mumbo jumbo the doctors speak into the dicta-phone, recorder, etc and type that stuff down. I transcribe what they dictate....but learn what a transcribers/transcriptionest do...just a tip heh.

Great review! I do graphic design for a living, so I'm looking for the "crystal" lens version... the yellow ones would throw off my color management. Those crystal ones are hard to find nowadays except for a pair that are $150 on the manufacturer site, which I'm not feeling that glasses design. Anyway thanks for the heads up!

HEY, really great video 5 * I liked the personal feedback it was really helpful. I am considering buying a pair but honestly how effective are they, (I pretty much use the computer all day, email, editing, movies, and wow) and I do feel that my eyes get tired and hurt, its just alot of money for glasses :S Also u mentioned you did research before buying, what other company did u find do similar products. Thanks fx splash. I really use my glasses for the computer mainly. Sometimes when my eyes are tired, I'll wear them when I tutor and I'm not on the computer most of the times when I tutor. But they really are soothing to the eyes and don't distort color. I get the effect where things look kind of dull after taking them off. I really enjoy my gunnars and don't know any other company like Gunnar but if I were to buy another pair it would be the e-sport because of the different ear frames

hey man i donno if you remember me but you i talked to you a bit about gunnars and told you i was getting the phantoms. well they were sold out and i got he animes but those didnt really work out for me so i exchanged them for the phantoms which are finaly instock. should be getting it tomorrow or friday! dont have a webcame or video cam but ill let you know waht i think of em.

hey, so i have been in a long debate about whether or not to get the Gunnar Glasses. I play alot of halo, and other video games, should i get them? is it worth it?

I use these glasses more for computer work than gaming.... they don't make my gaming worse and I seem to be more relaxed when I wear them. One thing about my glasses are the frames pinch my head when I wear my headset so make sure to get the e-sport edition which have special frames meant for wearing headsets as well. I like mine and my eyes are really less fatigued at the end of the day.

Ya I really like them... I guess I gotta tell you a funny story... since I've been researching on these glasses I studied up on CVS computer vision syndrome and that was one of the codes that came up our on our coding and transcription class and I told them what it stood for and they were like how do you know that? I shrugged and lol-ed but anyways my class is made entirely of females so I'm hesitant on wearing the glasses more heh.

They fit really well and I thought they would slide but they don't even though I have a smaller face, not as prominent nose, and I like them. One thing is your temples will get pinched with the pipeline frames when wearing a headset

ya you could but they do have a slight magnification on the glasses...so depending on how much of a change/the amount of correction your eyes need I would recommend getting them prescription. Ask your insurance company and you can get them for cheap because they do count as like medical/beneficial
