  • Wow nice. I think my school has house sparrows. They look just like them.

  • @Coleaptera There are several sparrows that look similar to each other. I think Tree Sparrows and House Sparrows can be easy to mix up if you don't know what to look for.

  • Can you do a video over the grey catbird?

  • @TheDog9892 I don't think I can find a grey catbird. Are they in Ohio?

  • @AgileHProductions well there was one here in southeastern Oklahoma I might check its range and reply again if it is (I used to have a baby grey cat bird he was loads of fun :D)

  • @TheDog9892 yes they are in ohio

  • I wonder if they taste any good.

  • @MyMurphysLaw I can't imagine they have much meat and their little bird bones. I'll stick to chicken.

  • you should have put some rat poison in the feeder for them to feast on!

  • out of all the creatures the good lord put on the earth it is the sparrow i hate the most and hate with a passion! i have a whole flock living round here and they piss me off! if i could ever get my hands on them......

  • @punji73 Which would you prefer - sparrows or mosquitos?

  • @AgileHProductions mosquitos, cos i can always plug in an electric mosquito repellant and besides i get mossies in the house round the end of summer and no the sparrows dont go out of their way to eat the mosquitos theyd rather rip up my lawn eating grass roots

  • Powerofsonic: I wish I had enough bread crusts to make all house sparrows choke... to death.

  • @ongawesgone I wish I had enough Grenades to make you Explode to death.. :)

  • @ongawesgone i hear ya mate, i hate sparrows with a passion if i could i would kill all of them with me bare hands cant stand them but i love other birds dont get me wrong

  • No insult to the video's creator, but I absolutely HATE house sparrows! I've been a provider of bluebird nestboxes for 20 years, and the house sparrows are the most vile creatures on this earth. I've been involved in "feuds" to put it mildly, with people who think the house sparrow does no wrong. However, those people will not look at the devastation these murderers visit on our native species. Bluebirds, Tree swallows, Cliff swallows, Purple Martins &c. all suffer due to this avian pestilence.

  • @ongawesgone well said i totally agree with you house sparrows are nothing but feathered rats, filthy vermin not unlike rats, maggots, flies they just have no place here on earth

  • @ongawesgone I'm not insulted. This is just documenting the reality of our world. It's not an endorsement of House Sparrows. I just saw two bluebirds this morning at the park. It was pretty cool.

  • I love house sparrows! They are so lovely! Beautiful video! :-)

  • @stellapolaregirl ok would you still love sparrows if they were nesting in your roof waking you up at 5:30 am every morning in the summer time?

  • @stellapolaregirl What's your favorite bird?

  • @AgileHProductions I love house sparrow!

in my area (northern Italy) house sparrows have steadily declined.

    and I am very sorry!

    (sorry for my bad english...!)

    I also love robin! :-)

  • The house Sparrow is not a pest he is a very loveli Bird and the Pest in this world is there who make killing and eating house sparrows

  • I putted bread crumbs on the table outside and i fail so i started ripping it appart but it looks big will the sparrows still eat it? Cause i think they might choke

  • @powerofsonic When you feed birds bread,it's best to soak the bread and crust in water first than put it outside. The reason for this is because When a bird eats dry bread it expands in their stomach and it can hurt them. The best thing to feed birds is bird seed or something like that. It's okay to feed them soaked bread to.

  • @isolde749 thanks for the tip i shall leave a whole loaf of bread out there for the sparrows to feast on then they shall explode as the bread expands in their gut lol, oh and maybe add some rice to the mix too :)

  • I used to like birds. Then I took a sparrow in the knee...

  • @markcocjin I hope you've recovered.

  • @markcocjin damn i searched for this video specifically to make that comment.

  • I love these birds. I fed them at work every day this year. I now have an army of em that come around. They even chase off these bigger scarier looking birds.

  • Douchbag Sparrow, wastin food and taking homes, lol

  • i love house sparrows soo much, theyre just really cute

  • I played this for my cat and he couldn't take his eyes of the screen. (:

  • @Sarah24862 I know what you mean... cats love the sound of my voice. :)

  • who got here from edgunusa?

  • I have a Gamo Socom Tactical air rifle and the sparrows are absolute pests! are my property. We haven't seen Blue Jays or Cardinals for months, haven't seen Bluebirds in over 20 years. So I routinely blast the sparrows and sure enough! the native song birds are returning. Next up a camera mount and slo-mo camera so I can film the slaughter and up load it to Youtube just to listen to you anti-hunter pussies sob!

  • whoo hooo for the European starling!!! I mean house sparrow... who let the sparrow's out sheesh..

  • Since the house sparrow is naturally home where I live, I do enjoy seeing these birds a lot. They are NO pests at all! We all should know the consequences of introducing a species to another area where it doesn't belong ... so haw-haw, America!

  • Any person that enjoys killing little birds usually has a psychological problem. Don't you people have a life? A job? A family? A girl or boyfriend? Normal interests? Or are you just so damn bored and frustrated with life this is your outlet. SICK!! Whatever the case the sparrow is here to stay in the US. I'm waiting for the day when these little brown jobs, LBJs, are added to the endangered lists of species in the United States. Couldn't be soon enough to protect them from psychos like you.

  • @Marta0172 These creatures are not native and outcompete the birds that do belong here, that is a fact.

  • @EddieCubillo White people weren't native to north america and we out competed the humans that belonged here.

  • @ramstones1 Irrelevant, has nothing to do with the countless native species of birds that have become extinct or endangered.

  • @EddieCubillo In other words, poop happens

  • LISTEN EVERY HOUSE SPARROW HATER. IT'S NOT THE HOUSE SPARROW'S FAULT THEY'RE LIKE THAT AND YOU GUYS SHOULD GET A FUCKIN LIVE OK. HOUSE SPARROW'S DO NOTHING TO YOU SO STOP BEING CRUEL. PEOPLE WHO HUNT BIRDS ARE SUCH IDIOTS THINKING THEY ARE COOL. SO PLEASE GO GET A LIFE AND SHUT THE **** UP.

  • on 0:38 it looks like it has eyes

  • Pls do more

  • 0:23 the one with the red head is not a house sparrow, thats a house finch.

  • A House Sparrow is not a Pest he is a very Lovely Bird i Like sparrows

  • male house sparrow how cute r they ^_^

  • Love sparrows even though these ones ate aggressive

  • @ZoneTelevision I love sparrows too:))

  • Great video, it's accurate. These house sparrows are killers of our native birds pure and simple. They are an invasive species with a demeanor our native birds can't compete with.

  • Agree witg @Base87, cross my path, you glue trap shmucks, and I,ll glue your fuckin' ass to the ceiling. Not that I personally care for the cute little SOBs myself. But, like the man says.....once the sparrows are gone, so are you, you assholes. As for shootin'them....try that on your grandparents...maybe you wouldn't exist, you crazy fucks. After all thank you lucky whatever, they didn't take your nest!! These little bird brains are a 100 times more capable of surviving than you fruitcakes.

  • .177 diabolo exact or .22 jsb work best against these sneaky quick fuckers. shoot them until u run out of pellets and in breeding season too.

  • @sheyon1000 I prefer a Sony VX2100. It shoots a really nice picture.

  • @AgileHProductions xDDD yeah but they are so common and they take nests of other birds wich are very nice.. i suggest u buy a a telescopic camera mounth (seben dka2) and attch that sony u have to a rifle scope! so then u have both footage and sparrow control!:DDD double fun !xD

  • @AgileHProductions yu funny i seen al ur reply comment and i loled

  • @killer4238 Thanks. I try and have fun with it. It's such a serious video that I don't think anyone expects me to make jokes.

  • @sheyon1000 Like if anybody really cares about what a dumbass like you thinks.

  • @alemadrid23 Yeah check edgun channel and u will know how much no one cares on what im saying! Shooting sparrows with an airgin is just fun. =D

  • LET'S KILL THEM ALL!

  • I shoot these off my bird feeder all the time

  • @hunterguy28 xDDDDDDD YEAH everyone is vs these motehr fuckers! no wonder tho such pest and destroyers and other birds races, these specises should be eradicated

  • These little bastards don't let me go to sleep in the morning!

  • yay airgun targets

  • male house sparrow is also in pakistan

  • @zaidumer It sounds like the male house sparrow is almost everywhere.

  • They need to be killed. I either shoot them or put glue traps in their nests and kill them that way.

  • @Base877

glue traps? I'd glue trap your mouth so you'd so you could share their experience, and only partially.

    you sick bastard.

Who are you to say who should live and who should be killed? I am aware that they are aggressive birds, but that's how nature works, the fact they were imported to America however, is not how nature works, it's just thanks to once again, ingorance of particular Americans.

  • @heheIvan

I'd reply, but I'm going out to buy more glue traps. Anyone who wants to control these sick bastards, glue traps work great. I prefer to have Martins and bluebirds than sparrows. You want to kill the male. Once he's dead, the female will abandon the nest.

  • they are so cute :D

  • In the Philippines, we call those birds "Maya"

Maya are often seen inside the church, and I think they really like the choir music.

  • Incidentally, the bird just died a year ago, at the age of 16. Not only are the smarter than you'd think, they can potentially live longer too!

  • @seluropnek I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

  • Great video! When I was a kid back in 1994, a baby house sparrow fell out of the nest. We took it in and raised it and nursed it back to health, but when it came time to let it go, he wouldn't leave. I think a lot of people don't know is how intelligent these little birds are capable of becoming. His vocabulary alone was crazy - he could mimic more sounds than the parrots in the house could (including catcalls, the dogs, the microwave, squeaky doors, various tunes, and could even speak his name)

  • @seluropnek I did not know that. Good story.

  • I shoot'em with an air rifle every chance I get....Starlings too I have a huge devotion to Blue Birds and Cardinals survival!

  • amazing i didn´t knew that these birds where very agressive dammit no wonder the seagulls and the owls are disepearing (kidding) XD, dang and they are soo cute =( even one of them woke my boyfriend and his little brother in their own room xDD

  • @cherrina44 Not only that... these birds are the main cause of global warming! :)

  • @AgileHProductions jajajajajaaaa XDDD they must die >:V ♥

  • @cherrina44 they are not so aggresive, other birds also can take over nest, simply they are stronger then native birdsand cause disbalance. What is ironic house sparrows have trubles in there europe native lands and there number deincressing, they even been added to red list in UK

  • Why are you feeding them? Kill them! Go buy a pellet gun.

  • @Raxarax I'd rather feed other birds, but I haven't figured out how to exclude House Sparrows. Oh well.

  • @AgileHProductions You can exclude them with a .177 air rifle. It's fun, and you're helping.

  • @Raxarax

'helping'...as in killing birds? Shoot Pigeons, if at all.

  • @bierfrau9 Pigeons, doves, starlings and house sparrows are all non-native species. Starlings and house sparrows are by far the most destructive to the native bird population. I agree, kill pigeons, but don't JUST kill pigeons, kill them all.

  • @Raxarax

    Well, I surrender. :)

  • @Raxarax Yeah, kill those damn shitbirds !!

  • @Raxarax Don't be such a douchbag why would you kill a poor sparrow. What have they done to you.

  • @alemadrid23 Because it's a non-native invasive species that was introduced to the Americas in the 1800's and displaces native bird populations... Conservation is important. You should go read up on why sparrows are bad.

  • @Raxarax Yeah conservation on amongst birds species is very important i agree. But then we fail to conserve our heritage culture and races.I really cant understand why we see these things in birds and fail too see them on us wich is most important.probably they made us beleive that we are all the same? There are no races ?

  • @sheyon1000 what in the fuck... I'm talking about species of birds. It works like this; the bird species that live in the America's all evolved together over millions of years. Then 200 years ago, human beings showed up, and took birds from the other side of the world (sparrows), and introduced them to America, so now all those birds that had evolved to live on this continent suddenly face competition from this new bird species, and sometimes they cant compete, which drives overall numbers down

  • @Raxarax

Now its the birds`s problem because humans brought them to america?

Its not their fault! And now they have to pay because humans brought them there?

Heres a list of extinct animals: endotwikipediadotorg/wiki/List_of_extinct_animals

But as always.... us people like guns and they like to shoot.

  • @tobjord It's not about the birds, it's about the species. No, one is blaming the birds. You have to understand that north america has a different ecosystem than europe. Invasive species can be devastating to indigenous populations. Read this, since you seem to be so interested in extinctions and wikipedia: wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Invasive_species#Threat_to_global_biodiversity

  • anyone know the species of the bigger bird in 0:14 - 0:18?

  • @inycxchris That is a mourning dove.

  • You know, regardless of their intentions, I notice that most people who kill birds on mutiple occasions tend to be dicks. Shut up and BREED more blue birds, breed them to be better birds, or whoever these vicious SPARROWS heartlessly attack, if you are dumb enough to care that much.

  • Sparrows attack and kill other birds.

Let's pause to take this in.

  • I would shoot 10 of this suckers from my bb gun and make shish kebobs back when i was 15! they are like pest they eat everything and fuck everyone up! they are like ghetto thugs from the hood who now live in switzerland lol!!

  • @cheetahlover156 shut up they are pests god man people these days

  • so cute!

  • I get hundreds of house sparrows on my bird feeders and they are more than welcome. They nest all around my house and in my street in nest boxes i have put up for them. Someone must help preserve the house sparrow from those little boys who think they're big by killing little birds just because they can't get a girlfriend. Fuck....fuck away my little feathery friends, lol.

  • @Weedtoker590

Preserve? These things are a non-native pest that was introduced and is now wreaking havoc on our native birds! They're a menace! They'll attack and kill other birds in their nest for often no reason at all! We have every right to protect our native birds from these little flying rats!

  • lol im doing a school project were i get points for killing pests like this

  • @wiigamer229 Bastard what have these innocent creatures who are trying to survive done to you?

  • please inform me where to buy this kind off eating-house for Sparrows please

    E. avreeke@xs4all.nl

  • @vreeke777 I don't know. It was a gift to me. Try searching for it on the internet with the keyword "squirrel-free" feeder.

  • @AgileHProductions The green feeder with the spring loaded perch is made by Heritage Farms (ebay or amazon for best prices)

  • @phyllis1753 That's great info. Thanks.

  • I know they're not native and they're pests, but they're still my favorite bird!

  • @ZacharyDBrooks Favorite bird? That, my friend, is a bold statement.

  • @AgileHProductions I was won over when I saw a troop of them ganging up to chase away a hawk. They may not have the most beautiful song, or the most beautiful feathers, but as Hamlet says "There's a special providence in the fall of a sparrow!"

  • @ZacharyDBrooks They are pretty tough birds. I can attest to that.

  • Sputzies.

  • They're so adorable!! :D

  • @xTwistedxSisterx they maybe adrable but they are killers to other birds

  • They do what humans do. Invade other lands and take over. Who are we to judge.

  • @rtrain67 Good point. World's #1 invasive species.

  • so bad, they invade other birds' nests!

  • WOW, Whats the bird at 0:19 with the red markings as well. Thats a cross??? That is amazing. Thats the most colourful sparrow IVE ever seen.

  • @ChineseCalligraphy That would be a male House Finch.

  • @barefootfoof Hi, thanks for replying. It is something we do not get in England sadly.

  • seedee seedee seedee

  • As house sparrow and starling numbers crash here in the uk . I say can we have our birds back, we can swap you for grey squirrels and American signal crayfish both which are wiping out our native stocks! I think the lesson is people should leave wildlife where it is.

  • @adzontour333 Agreed.

  • It's not completely our fault that house sparrows were introduced in America. These little birds build nest in almost anyplace even in a flower pot. I wouldn't be surprised that they nested in ships' hulls where they stored grain.

  • Was that you narrating? Good vid.

  • @maarakailet1 That was me.

  • My cat often catches them.

  • @amazingdany my airgun too :)

  • @jepdiniz2 OH!

  • Anyone who shoots birds are killing life. Just wrong. Anyway, looking up this bird because it looks similar to one I've been seeing recently in my yard.

  • I saved a young sparrow today from a cat.

  • With these traps you can let the good birds go and destroy the sparrows, mynas and starlings, they dont kill the bird as it get caught. There are so many sparrows, starlings and mynas depriving normal good birds of nests.

  • Everyone should look up 'Sparrow trap', make one or buy one, they look the go. Also Starling trap and Indian myna trap. I think passive traps like these would eradicate all the pests if used

  • @kennnmoran You don:t think they would hurt other bird populations too? Just wondering.

  • @kennnmoran thats like making a human trap. we kill and take over like how we killed indians and took over the naitive amaricans. imagin house sparrows as the pilgrims(us) and bluebirds and other native birds as indians. we killed and took over indian land. its just the way it is.

  • @weezereli1996 We have fucked the place, no question about that. Hopefully some properly directed actions may reverse some of it. Killing all the sparrows, starlings and mynas, is up there on our level. I try not to think of how easy it would be to kill off all of them on the day they were released, but no, we thought it would be alright. Like, how cats would kill all the mice released into the bush. Oh fuck!

  • @weezereli1996

They're not humans, they're freakin' birds and they're a menace. N. America would be a better place without them.

  • @kennnmoran It's funner just to shoot em lol

  • Don't mess with sparrows.

  • @BlackLily888 im with you brother!

  • I read that the population of sparrows is declining in the UK. The Sparrows are a lovely bird, very social, have a sweet voice, they are always in my garden, eating the seeds from the bird feeder.

  • At least they're cute as hell. Vile creatures? Nah, just surviving, as you'd do. In fact, "pushing out thing they don't like", "taking over", sounds very human species-ish.

  • @8Libertine8 So True.

  • @8Libertine8 AMEN! To THAT!

  • @8Libertine8 I totally agree!

  • Nothing more fulfilling than shooting one of these vile creatures.

  • Of course we now know the damage that introducing a foreign species can cause to indigenous wildlife.

Grey squirrels from the U.S were introduced into England and decimated the native population of red squirrels. Those pockets of red squirrels that do remain are vigourously protected.

  • There was a recent cull of ring-necked parakeets which have been very successful in the West London area of England. Mystery surrounds their origin, though rumour has it that a breeding pair escaped from Shepperton film studios during the making of The African Queen way back in 1951...and todays thriving population is the result.

  • The funny thing is that in the U.K they have been in mysterious decline for some years. There used to be loads of 'em up in London and around parks. Now when you hear them chirping it makes you stop and look. In the U.K they were regarded as pests, but are now protected.

  • these birds are flying pieces of shit, I absolutely hate them. Loud, ugly and clog gutters, zero redeeming qualities.

  • The HOSP does not live in restricted habitat The HOSP is a hardy bird capable of living almost anywhere. I have personally witnessed a HOSP destroy nests of 2 separate birdsSame HOSP had a nest of its own! To say that House Sparrows are not a threat to native bird populations is nuts. Selfish human arrogance was introducing this bird in US attempting to fix the problem isnt. So many people are blinded cause they think the HOSP is cute. The HOSP is not protected by Fed law for good reason

  • i shoot at these lil bitches with my sling shot and some bolts

  • i love Capitan Jack Sparrow :D

  • @wojtekgola97 Good point.

  • "Without question the most deplorable event in the history of American ornithology was the introduction of the English Sparrow." (The Birds of Ohio, 1903)

  • and us gov is dumbass not protectin this species from bein hunted...

  • @realviews1 Your a dumbass. This species isnt indigenous to the US. Hunting them is legal because there are so many of them they are killing off all the native birds.

  • my friends...

  • haha, here in central europe, we're full of sparrows . whenever i open my window or go out i hear thousands of noises from them like at 0:25 D:

  • I got so busy trying to educate some people that I totally forgot to thank you for posting this video. I appreciate a person such as you who puts the correct information online.

I can understand how someone from overseas would like them, being that they're native to their land, but at the same time, I can't sit by and watch the house sparrows kill the nesting bluebirds that come to the boxes I put up for them. The bluebirds belong here; the house sparrows don't.

  • People who maintain purple martin colonies must be vigilant about keeping house sparrows and starlings out of the housing that's meant for martins. If they don't, those two kinds of birds will kill the martins and chase them out and eventually end up taking over the colony.

I and many other people who are dedicated to protecting our native bird species belong to various birding groups online and encourage people to eliminate as many house sparrows and starlings as possible.

  • Most birding organizations in the US recommend eliminating house sparrows and starlings. They kill native bird species and take over their nesting places. House sparrows and starlings cause billions of dollars of damage each year contaminating grains. I also want to correct an untruth that was stated here in the comments. House sparrows and starlings most certainly DO inhabit the same areas that a lot of other native birds inhabit.

  • Cool video, but there are more than 3 birds that aren't protected, many more. Cool video either way.

If anybody would like some help with their sparrows problem, check out the website on my channel.

  • NO ONE in the world has problems with house sparrows, except a bunch of stuck-up american middle-class speciesists, who hate the fact they cannot dictate nature, which birds should nest in their gardens.

  • @scmcg Speciesists? You get more ridiculous each time you post. I understand that you're English and that your country's government has failed to protect this bird but how can you be upset about people in other countries trying to protect their birds? It was the English that attempted to dictate nature when they brought the sparrows here. The U.S. government also decided to "dictate" nature when they chose not to protect the bird so that they may be controlled.

  • I stand corrected, German.

  • three of them parked on my car's side view mirror while i was having a drive-in snack.

  • i luv house sparrows! I didn't know they bully other birds. I use to rescue and raise house sparrows that were in my yard and I owned a lot of canaries. Those house sparrows never seem to hurt or bother my canaries.

  • They are a problem for cavity nesters, not canaries.

  • House sparrows have dissapeared from my garden in london )= they are dieing out cos of lack of food and eeves to nest in

  • They are not going anywhere. Too many to control. They are a horrible bird to other birds in every way. But that's their key to surviving. Just a nasty nasty bird.
