Saw them last night for the first time at Koko in Camden. Fuck me, pure primal power! Love this band. Will be posting up vids from last night on here asap.
You know what the best thing about a Neurosis crowd is: THEY DON'T MOSH!!! That just goes to prove that Neurosis transcend metal beyond compare! Amen? A-fucking-men!!! :)
every show ive seen everyone in the crowd to ripped on acid to move

beyond compare would be exaggerating.. there are many bands that make music like this. but i agree, the crowd is relatively still, even though sludge gigs are intense beyond anything. i still turn spasmodic to this kind of music, it makes me want to collide into everything
Oh I understand that! Isis and Godflesh do make visceral metal like this. It's just that considering how ultra-heavy Neurosis are, their reception is more calm rather than chaotic. I agree that their music makes me spasmodic but in a more internal manner.
well, seeing as you really like this kind of music, i strongly recommend the band Rosetta. it's like an exact mix between Isis and Neurosis, but much heavier (the album Wake/Lift is beyond anything i've ever heard)
I sow them last summer at Senigallia in Italy. It's true the crowd was still. Even between two songs people stood in silence!!! I had to speak to my friends whispering just not to bother other people. It was so strange! :-)
My mouth is wide open in a smile beyond boundaries. This is beautiful! BEAUTIFUL! I must lie down in bliss for two hours. Don't get me wrong, Eye of Every Storm was excellent, but NOBODY does HEAVY like NEUROSIS. Looks that come time for the new album, their still gonna be my fucking favorite band and then some.

justinbenson6: listen to Meshuggah's album 'Nothing' or 'Catch 33' if you want something much heavier than Melvins

i love the tags for this
"punk" and "crust" doesn't accurately describe anything they've released since like 1989

If I'm not wrong this song was titled as "Distill" on the soundboard setlist as I could see later on a photo still.
Really looking forward to the new album!
