chadsenters00 a desert eagle is not made in a .40 cal its chambered in .357 .41 .44 and .50 a.e. (which stands for action express but u already knew that im sure) but if u wanna talk about guns make sure u know wat ur talking about
Magnum Research produced/imported a gun called the Baby Desert Eagle... also known as the baby eagle. It is the same gun as a Jericho 941. It came in 4 calibers. 9mm, 40 s&w, 41AE and 45 ACP. It has seen many configurations over the years, such as polymer frames and different sizes. It also came in a few different color configurations.
I have a 9mm baby eagle, and I have fired over 2000 rounds through it. No jams.... I think it has to do with the .45. They are known to jam more than any other caliber because of the bullet shape.
Let me clear it up. His gun is probably dirty for one and he needs to apply a dab of gun grease where the hammer drags on the slide. Mine works flawless.
Im looking at the Taurus pt 1911 .45 its a nice gun and not too expensive ,,, Id like the para ordnance .45 but id rather pay 500 then 800 LOL ,,, thanks though you ruled out this model for me . ty
what the hell , if I was IMI , i would sue this guy to get this off being on youtube LOL ,,, all that jamming was nuts ,,, but he did move past it super quick hehehehehehe must be use to shooting 10-22 s
The reason the gun is jamming is probably because you're holding it too tight. My friend has the 45 baby eagle and had the same problem and it was because he held it to tight.
clean the gun and use proper ammo specified in the owner's manual. or get a CZ-97B in .45acp, it's a better design and you can use +p ammo, 4.85" barrel, better barrel lock-up with the chamber-as-lug through the ejection port.
Almost everyone I've ever heard complain about this gun do so from ignorance. The average gun dork doesn't keep it clean, but the primary problem is usually the wrong ammunition. It is a .45 ACP, and people insist on shooting Plus Ps through it, even though Magnum Research makes it clear this is the wrong ammo. I have had mine for years and have NEVER had a single feed or ejection jam.
its a higher velocity bullet, but with a short barrel like on the 45acp Jericho (3.5inches) you wont get to much velocity out of a +P, honestly its not worth it
@bobgee1999 Well, mine did alot. So did alot of other peoples. Always used the ammo that was recommended, and always kept it clean. Dont have this problem with my .44 Desert Eagle
They are all manufactured in Isreal, its an Isreali company and imported to the US by Magnum Research which has nothing to do with the design or manufacture of the Jericho
I carry that exact sidearm! Never had that kind of problem.. looks like it needs to be cleaned. And the guy shooting the gun should take some classes first.. cup and saucer hold only applies in the movies!! looks cool tho..
I have the exact same gun. I thought it was a piece of shit at first. But then I figured out the clip that came with the gun was fucked up. the spring wasn't tight enough so the rounds werent being pushed up fast enough. Luckily it comes with 2 clips and one functions just fine. So for those of you out there watching this and thinking wow this gun sucks ass. Then go out and try holding this gun. it is the best feeling gun i have ever picked up.
I sent my magazine to them and they sent one that works. Another thing you have to do is clean it really good. it comes caked in a oil that u have to get off. not really hard to do. just have to take it apart and clean it.
I just took mine to the range today, (cleaned the factory gook out of it first) and it did the same thing. I hope my springs were put in wrong like filmguy says... But other than the jamming the gun is great...
Goober has his springs in wrong. so they are pinching together. Mine did that, but after putting them back right, no probs after. Today I just shot around 150 rounds (most were my OWN reloads) and not one single jam or misfire. This gun is a very forgiving firearm and digest ammo (even cruddy used reloaded ammo) just fine. I love my Baby .45!
Yes it's a Baby D.E., though a lot of people mistakingly call it just Desert Eagle. It can hold 10, 13, or 15 rounds depending if it's a 9mm, .40, or .45 and comes in steel or polymer frames.
Wow, I was going to buy my wife a baby eagle .45 as a smaller version to compliment my .44, but after seeing this maybe not. Is the pistol dirty, or bad mags or ammo or something; Or does it just always jam every other shot? I've never seen a gun jam that bad before with the exception of one M9. It looks like the spring is sticking or the slide is binding because it's cycling in almost like slow-mo.

I have a .45 and .40 Baby Eagle and neither one of them has ever done this.
They are very accurate and very well made guns, and in my books one of the best I ever shot.
I would have to agree people use the wrong ammunition thus causing the gun to jam and hang up.

No it's true, the gun has feed problems,But only the .45 I still have the .40 S/W and it works fine.

The reason the gun is jamming is probably because you're holding it too tight. My friend has the 45 baby eagle and had the same problem and it was because he held it to tight.

have the baby eagle .45 as well. never jamed!! love this pistol.
vimukto9784 2 years ago
It does that because If you're not holding it correctly the thumb can come up and interfere with the slide catch during recoil.
