It really depends on the cat, I believe. I've known gentle cats, but I've also known little bipolar motherfuckers too. xD But yeah...I feel awkward with dogs.....I don't understand their enthusiasm or their playfulness. I never seem to understand how to effectively play with them...which is why I prefer quiet cats who can keep me company without having to lick my face and get all up on me. e_o Although, cats can still do that, really. e_e
@PurpleCowsMakeGJ Yea I'm a cat person, I don't like being licked to death by a dog or having one jump on me. Sometimes I think my cats and dog copy each other though, my little dog behaves like a cat, even sitting in the window sill, whereas my cats beg and whine for attention. I love my dog..but I'm a cat person all the way. They are also cleaner.

But once I get them fixed, they should be just fine. My little dog however still likes to shit on the floor. Oh I may bitch, but I love my "babies" almost as much as I love kids. Hell I even get their names mixed up...um the kids and the pets name. LOL I went to get on to my dog Angel..to be co.

@lusciousdeath I feel like that is very important to love your pets. :] It's nice to hear that that some people consider them family. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to manage my time well, so my dog gets very lonely. e_o He also has attitude problems too...If we try to discipline him when he does something wrong, he just gets pissed off and goes and pees or shits on something...:/ So, we don't let him inside now. e_e
@PurpleCowsMakeGJ I suggest puppy pads for the dog. That is what I use for my dog and it works well for the most part. I don't usually have a lot of time to spend with her cause of work, errands..internet addiction, but she usually sleeps with me or one of the kids. As for attitude, I'm no expert, but maybe some attention might straighten him out. Maybe a companion, like another dog. Dogs are pack animals and really need others, whether its their owners or other pets.
@lusciousdeath Puppy pads? e_o And yeah....He did have a companion...But she died a few months ago. :( She was getting to be at that age where her health was just rapidly deteriorating, so...we had to put her down. :/ We feel awful that he's gone through that, but we would've felt worse having her live out her days all sick and such. :T
@PurpleCowsMakeGJ puppy pads aren't what you think, lol. They are like newspapers you put on the ground but better. As for your loss, I'm very sorry. My family has had to put pets to sleep. Watching a loved one suffer is very hard. I wish we could do this for our human loved ones. I know it was hard to watch my Grandfather suffer in 2010 but my family had him on life support, despite the fact that that was not what he wanted.

I used to love seeing her sit out in the rain despite having a nice dry dog house. <3 My grandpa also died in 2010. :/ We were gonna bring music to him, but when we got back, he was gone. :( I was disappointed that he didn't get to listen to Glenn Miller again. :( But...I assume he's in a better place....And that his suffering ended. :T But I really don't know.

My personal views on god and religion is "atheist agnostic naturalist" kind of long but there is a reason. I see no proof of a god so I do not believe in any currently described god, but I believe in the possibility of a god. BUT if there is a god I resent the theory of him/her being super natural, I believe everything is a product of nature, like an example would be if some species evolved to the level of god and then they created a universe.
I've noticed that cats latch themselves to one person. For instance, my cat adores me (as much as I adore her), and well... tolerates the rest of the family. My grandmother's cat quite literally sat in the corner and planned on clawing my throat out whilst I slept, but was very sweet to dear old granny. And lastly when my brother went away to colledge, his cat became buddies with my mother. So, yes they are catty by nature, but, in a sense, like women (This coming from one). :)

I agree with your stance on God, Voltaire, but I think you're making a category error. Being an atheist just means you have a lack of belief in God, and live without a religious influence. "Agnostic" refers to the specific state of belief (i.e. whether you think there isn't enough evidence to decide for sure, if you think you know for a FACT there is no god, etc.). Most atheists are agnostics, but they're still atheists.

I really am more of a cat person but technically I have an excuse for it. I'm actually somewhat scared of dogs due to my first real experience with a dog at eight or so. He didn't like me and would just bark and try to bite/claw at me. Fifteen years later and I'm still wary about dogs.

Also, you'd love my friend's mom's cat. Cat LOVES her mother. Perfect angel. When her mother goes away, Cat *takes on the mastiff and wins*. Goes everywhere. Rips everything she can get her claws in apart...including human flesh. I'm pretty sure she's possessed.

Or possibly human like scientist. create a miniature big bang in a controlled environment in order to observe the evolution of life, and we could be the experiment. I do not resent the idea of a creator, but I resent the existence of the super natural. Now that being said I respect other religions and find them very interesting pieces of mythology..

My personal views on god and religion is "atheist agnostic naturalist" kind of long but there is a reason. I see no proof of a god so I do not believe in any currently described god, but I believe in the possibility of a god. BUT if there is a god I resent the theory of him/her being super natural, I believe everything is a product of nature, like an example would be if some species evolved to the level of god and then they created a universe.

I've noticed that cats latch themselves to one person. For instance, my cat adores me (as much as I adore her), and well... tolerates the rest of the family. My grandmother's cat quite literally sat in the corner and planned on clawing my throat out whilst I slept, but was very sweet to dear old granny. And lastly when my brother went away to colledge, his cat became buddies with my mother. So, yes they are catty by nature, but, in a sense, like women (This coming from one). :)

I agree with your stance on God, Voltaire, but I think you're making a category error. Being an atheist just means you have a lack of belief in God, and live without a religious influence. "Agnostic" refers to the specific state of belief (i.e. whether you think there isn't enough evidence to decide for sure, if you think you know for a FACT there is no god, etc.). Most atheists are agnostics, but they're still atheists.

I have a cat who quite dearly adores me....follows me everywhere. Especially the bathroom. Why I don't know. He's a very sweet cat though/
I really am more of a cat person but technically I have an excuse for it. I'm actually somewhat scared of dogs due to my first real experience with a dog at eight or so. He didn't like me and would just bark and try to bite/claw at me. Fifteen years later and I'm still wary about dogs.
