@bigBrude41 This was her first time on the treadmill. I got her started by shinning a laser light on the treadmill, then I moved it to the front and turned it off. A year later she STILL looks for that light in the front of the treadmill.

Thanks so much for posting this! I laughed so hard I have tears in my eyes! We recently lost one of our Bostons and in her younger days she learned how to walk on the treadmill. She was a portly girl and when she got tired she just sat down and rolled off the back. She looked like a rolled roast on the grocery conveyer belt!

Hessie jumped on one time when I was walking. This video was taken the first time Roxie walked on it. I 'guided' her on with a laser light. That's why she is looking down at the beginning of the tread, she thinks the light will come back!

She did seem to be searching for something LOL. It's a great idea for getting a walk in on these snowy, icy, freezing winter days. I laughed when the smaller(?) Boston sort of slid off the back of the treadmill and wasn't fazed by it at all. Beautiful dogs :O)

They are truely lap dogs. At any given time, if I'm sitting down, there are at least two dogs on my lap... and once in a while, all four Bostons. Yes, the bully is a lap dog, too... but that is 50 pounds of ugly dog on my lap! We save those for special times :)

You need a slat mill. What the lady is doing is potetially very dangerous for the dog. Both its heart and its legs. You need one that it can stop of its own accord when it is tired. That is very very dangerous, ignorance (not saying that as an insult). Why do they have an emergency stop button on them for humans ? dogs dont know how to work those

If you used that treadmill as a real source of exercise for the dogs, instead of a source of your amusement, it should be inclined in the front for optimum benefit. Why does the first Boston keep her head down continuously? The other one didn't. That Bulldog sure wanted to join them, but couldn't figure it out. One poster said that the English are "smarter than people think". Maybe that's why she never jumped on, but actually, it was the unsteadiness of the moving surface. She wanted to.

Roz, thanks for the comment. Yes, this is for entertainment only. Both Bostons get more than enough exercise without the treadmill. As you can see, they are both in fantastic shape. They don't do this for exercise. I have a hard enough time keeping weight on them. This was the first time that Rox walked on it. I got her on the treadmill using a laser light, which is why her head is down, she is looking for the light to come back. The other Boston walked on her own with no prompting from me.

As far as the bulldog goes, you couldn't be more wrong, Roz. He is not afraid of the moving treadmill. He has been on it whilst it was moving and he gave me the "You have got to be kidding me. You really think this is fun?" look. He knows how to get on as he climbs all over it every day. No, he is not scared of it nor did he want to get on it. He just likes trying to bite the tread. It's a game to him.
