Kypreos didn't get hurt in this fight; his nose was broken earlier in the game by a Jim Cummins elbow. This was the first of 2 fights for Kypreos in the game; if I remember right he went after Cummins just before the game ended looking for revenge and got thumped again. But you have to give him credit for hanging in there.
I remember this game, both teams were fucking loaded with goons at the time (Probert, Ciccone, Russell, Cummins for the Hawks, Domi, Baumgartner, Kypreos for the Leafs, and that's not even counting the guys who could play and fight for both teams like Steve Smith and Wendel Clark) and there were so many fights that the refs had to start calling them roughing double-minors to stop them.
I loved how cam russell did not seem to care at the end of the fight if Kypreos was going to try to throw another cheap shot. Russell did not even try to move aftert he refs jumped in. Russell did win that one!

Watching the fight I was like "it wasn't that bad, slight edge to Russell but Kypreos held his own" Then I saw his face...

Russell bloodied well Kypreos, scroring CLEAR WIN over him.
This was a bit nasty, sad to watch because of outcome of violence.
But hockey fightning is hockey fightning, there isn't any mercy to each other but they still respect/praise each other i know.
They aren't evil guys.Maybe on the ice but not outside of the rink.
