I love going to south east Asia in low season i don't mind the peace and quiet of course in the evening if theres a bar near bye i like by a small motor bike ride go take a drink, but tell me how much dong do we obtain with 500.00 Thai baths ?

Nice place for a chill out, but that's about all. Not much to do for the independant traveller

Top tourist prices (as you come to expect in Vietnam)

Very VERY hot in March 2009. To the point that between 12noon and 3pm you could not really go out and about, way too hot and burning sunshine.

Staff are lovely, rooms very clean (we stayed in the bungalows btween the resort and beach)

Food is averarage, eat in the local villages / road side sellers

Oh please, Nigel! Me and my husband were also there March 2009 and we just loved the country and the weather though it was hot. We spent the hottest hours of the day at the pool or at the beach, or just visiting local shops or sightseeings. I do agree that the staff are lovely and food is just okay, and Vietnam as a country is very interesting and Vietnamese people are adorable. I have nothing bad to say about our visit.

Vietnam sucks I stayed there for two months and hated the people. It is the worst place in south east asia by far.  I am glad us Americans bombed the shit out of the place and shot up the villages. I hate the motorbike taxi's they are really the scum of the earth. Next time if I come back to vietnam I am going to stab a motorbike taxi driver.

In July the weather is fine (25-32 degrees). The hottest months are April and May. It rains in July, but not every day and usually only for an hour or so because Mui Ne gets the least rain of anywhere in Vietnam.
