I love roxas i went there this summer its soo fun but hot and it always black out when i went there!!!!!The best part is going to guisano malll!!!!!!!
@TheNewbieShufflers - nice to hear that! i'm actually in Roxas City right now, inside The Gaisano Marketplace. Too bad I'm not taking any videos of this trip. Been very busy with stuff and I literally have hundreds of travel videos pending for upload, so i had to stop taking videos so it won't accumulate. :)
Which part of the National Highway in Passi is in bad shape ??? Is it the one before Passi City (Brgy. Man-it - near Sugar Central) or after you pass the City of Passi (Brgy. Sablogon). I've been away for 8 years and I've been craving and longing to come back. Thanks for the info.
the whole portion of the highway in passi city is in a very bad shape save for a few kilometers (after you pass passi city to capiz) which is already concreted. very bad shape is an understatement...which is correct: our highway has few potholes or our potholes has few highways? very ironic eh?
I think these problems (potholes, muddy/dusty roads, broken concrete, melted asphalt roads, etc. ) are caused by the tremendous volume of cargo trucks carrying sugar cane to 3 big sugar mills. CASA has 8,000 tons of cane per day capacity, New Frontier has 3,500 tons/day and Passi Sugar Central (UlangJuan) has 4,500 tons of cane capacity. A 6 wheeler-truck can carry between 10 -15 tons of cane - that translates to thousands of trucks every single day.
Siguro ang laki na ng pinagbago ng Roxas City, ano? When I was in Elementary and High School, we used to deliver/sell hundreds of sacks of Chico every week from our plantation in Dingle, Iloilo to Roxas City. We enjoyed swimming at Marc's Beach Resort. Always brought home hundreds of kilos of talaba and tahong. Malungkot dito sa Canada, gusto ko pa rin Iloilo and Roxas City. If ever I settled back in Philippines, Roxas City is more favorable than Iloilo City (laging baha sa Iloilo pag may ulan).
yeah...life in roxas city is not as fast paced as iloilo city. iloilo city is getting crowded and the traffic is terrible. if you want a simple life, choose roxas city. if you want a little excitement sometimes, you can visit iloilo city, anyway it's just a 2 hr drive from roxas..just don't pass by passi city coz the road needs repair
