  • How are things coming on the modified sunset script? I finally bought an ac adapter so I can shoot longer long exposure time-lapes sequences. I try to use low iso settings and longer exposures but then the stars move to fast. Thanks for posting your test and results.

  • @Markinter5 With all the modifications, I ended up naming the new script YASS (yet another sunset script). The yass code worked awesome on sunsets. Check out my "New Years Eve Sunset Time Lapse" to see the result and download the code from the description. I am currently working on yass2 to fix the all night nd filter problem when clouds come into the shot. Progress is slow due to the cold and rain here in south florida. ;( Either way, yass is still awesome on sunsets! ;)

  • @Markinter5 if you're at about 18mm then usually the most you wana go for with stars is about 55 seconds, and thats kind of pushing it. I am an amatuer astronomer and astrophotographer. In taking pictures of the sky with a stationary tripod, i like 45 seconds at about 18mm, any closer and you'll need to cut the time down

  • @mophead319 Thanks mophead I agree and even at 45 seconds the stars start turning to dashes not dots.

  • very nice images
