for any new riders, it's easier to start on your stomach and when your at a higher speed move up to your knees. The faster you're going the more stable it is

this video has been on here since 2008 and people still havent figured out why he's having such difficulty. if you look, he turns the choke on to start it. then he never turns the choke back off before he tries revving it up to hop on. classic beginner mistake. just cant belive someone hasnt caught that until now......

I couldn't figure out why it didn't float...but hell, they sure are fun even if you get wet on em! Even more fun once you figure out how to ride em!

my first time was on some guys jet ski, was even old and half the size of this one, it was hard but i got on ans stood. it was missing the ride plate. but that first turn i went down. you have to give it gas and let it drag you the get you elbows on the sides then pull your self up on your knees

You can get one of these for around $600-$800.

It's a 650sx. I wouldn't recommend this though.. Get an old superjet from 1990-1995. It would cost about the same and it's a much lighter, better ski.

I just had my 1st stand up experience 2 weeks ago on a 701 Super Jet. It was awesome I did great...so I sold my 650 sit down and got a 1991 650 sx...hopefully someday I'll have $4k to spend on a Super Jet! Great Vid, keep practicing!!

Just to clerify for anyone calling me an idiot. This is a 1989 jetski on the Ohio River. I had just rebuilt the engine and I had never even seen a stand up jet ski before. I could not hear them yelling to me either. It was a fun experience and I will learn as I get to ride it more.
