for any new riders, it's easier to start on your stomach and when your at a higher speed move up to your knees. The faster you're going the more stable it is
fail come on u need lost weights mostly jet ski single is only carry less than 160 lbs so 200 lbs is too hard for that jet ski sorry i mean to not rude so i just give u to know about it and just learn it ya ..
It's a lot like surfing, but I learned to surf 12 years ago. Amazing to see that much difficulty. Then again, I don't usually try with the choke on either.
all you gotta do is watch your balls and pin the throttle bro takes some getting use to but well worth the hazing. im on my third stand up ski and have only owned one sit down reason they a for fat lazy dip shits. it takes a man to ride a stand up for eight hours anyone can sit on a chair all day no skill needed.
this video has been on here since 2008 and people still havent figured out why he's having such difficulty. if you look, he turns the choke on to start it. then he never turns the choke back off before he tries revving it up to hop on. classic beginner mistake. just cant belive someone hasnt caught that until now......
@1bad99cat AMEN!!! Riding a stand up is sooo much more awesome than the couch. Actually takes skill and determination! Which makes it so much more worth it!!
Nice video - why all the negative comments about you being gay, a fag and smacking that bitch? Some people are hard as fuck on here but weak face to face. I like this clip and have rode a ski for 15 years. You will get the hang of it - I did. Now all you people can call me gay and a fag but all you are really doing is showing your retarded ignorance while wearing your mamas pants on your head.
@JungleListSoldier have fun with your lazy boy. only people who arnt good enough to ride a stand up call them gay. a cripled pregnant chick could ride a sit down
@JungleListSoldier Have fun with your lazy boy. maby one day you will grow a pair and ride somthing that actually takes skill, not somthing a 10 year old girl ride lol
@JungleListSoldier have fun with your lazy boy. only people who arnt good enough to ride a stand up call them gay. a cripled pregnant chick could ride a sit down
dude. its like a motorcyle. it wont stay up until it reaches speed. hop in the tray with both knees and nail the throttle. after it planes, stand up. hope this helps.
I rode waverunners for 5 years and just bought that same jetski you got there. I gotta give you credit, it took me about 10 minutes just to start the thing once I had it in the water. I couldn't figure out why it didn't float...but hell, they sure are fun even if you get wet on em! Even more fun once you figure out how to ride em!
dude just keep on trying. my buddy was a lot worse than that and after 2 years of trying he is now doing barrel rolls perfectly and starting on back flips. Now he is the one laughing.
Anyone that makes fun of you for this has never been on one. and it isnt even about how heavy you are. my fat ass can ride a 440 without problems. just keep at it. it took me probably 8 takes of gas before I mastered it.
my first time was on some guys jet ski, was even old and half the size of this one, it was hard but i got on ans stood. it was missing the ride plate. but that first turn i went down. you have to give it gas and let it drag you the get you elbows on the sides then pull your self up on your knees
I feel his pain. I spent a whole weekend learning to ride a Kawsaki 300 that couldn't plane water in a bathtub. Sure glad I didn't have a giggle-box camera girl to cheer me on.
So cruel making fun of him like that (although it is hilarious). Old stand ups are like running on a log in the water, but once you get it they're great.
It's a 650sx. I wouldn't recommend this though.. Get an old superjet from 1990-1995. It would cost about the same and it's a much lighter, better ski.
I just had my 1st stand up experience 2 weeks ago on a 701 Super Jet. It was awesome I did great...so I sold my 650 sit down and got a 1991 650 sx...hopefully someday I'll have $4k to spend on a Super Jet! Great Vid, keep practicing!!
hey i'm not gunna be mean or anything cause those are hards to ride your first time. You lay on your stomach and get going to where your stable and then you get to your knees and then get goin a little faster and then get to your feet but its easier said than done just get out there about noon one day and youll be a pro in a few hours
Just to clerify for anyone calling me an idiot. This is a 1989 jetski on the Ohio River. I had just rebuilt the engine and I had never even seen a stand up jet ski before. I could not hear them yelling to me either. It was a fun experience and I will learn as I get to ride it more.
It also hadn't been run it 10 years and I spent the prior two days rebuilding the engine and repairing and removing the dry-rotted foam. The damn thing is the lightest jet ski I've ever ridden too so I wasn't used to the balancing.
you have to start off laying down and then get up
