The twofold problem is this: the degree of bias makes the book project dubious. Some bias is normal. But when you have a liquor company publishing a study about the virtues of drinking each day; the KKK sending out "info" on Black people causing crime; or a Muslim group writing about Jewish criminality, there needs to be checks and balances in the form of the citations I just mentioned, at the very least. And they appear to be lacking re: this book.

What he seems to conveniently omit is the fact that for centuries Jews were only allowed to do certain jobs and one of them was a merchant i.e. a trader.
Since selling slaves involves trading, logically those behind slavery would have been Jewish!

The twofold problem is this: the degree of bias makes the book project dubious. Some bias is normal. But when you have a liquor company publishing a study about the virtues of drinking each day; the KKK sending out "info" on Black people causing crime; or a Muslim group writing about Jewish criminality, there needs to be checks and balances in the form of the citations I just mentioned, at the very least. And they appear to be lacking re: this book.

Anyone can site Jewish sources for an anti-semitic book, but it is how the author(s) interprets the sourced publications (their personal commentary about it) that reveals bias. So no, citing Jewish sources doesn't necessarily mean anything at all, except that the author(s) may be attempting to spin the sourced material to fit his or her agenda.

@laryon, you don't get it. This is not about footnotes, this is about CITATIONS, which allows the reader to know where the alleged information originated in order to justify it is legitimate. When someone quotes another person, they must state the source. You haven't sourced the quote/claim so it can't be taken seriously. You offered a website that doesn't state the source of the alleged claim/quote. It's just empty claims so far.
