Yo EXO I've got a pyramid Reno series 800 watt 4 channel amp and I got it from this guy I know he said like only half the channels work or somthing and they sent it into pyramid and they couldn't figure out the problem do you think the guys at auto sound could fix it and for how much?

Nice exposure of these guys hack and slashing that garbage amp. I'm amazed they would let you to put this up. Clearly shows that they didn't solder the mosfet legs from the bottom like your suppose to. No towel on the bench so your amp get's all scratched up, and the testing was a joke. They hook it up to a small power supply to test it, instead of running it though it's paces on high power. Wonder what kind of warranty they give? Pretty funny! Just lettin people know what's really goin on.

hey EXO i have a crunch usa 1000 watt that works but when i turn it up it stops putting out sound and just goes insane with vibrations do you have any ideas to what the problem is? i also have a pioneer 1200 watt 12" subwoofer and it is plugged in to the rca inputs but it doesnt seem to be working, it worked on my home stereo. its in a sealed box and i have the converter from speaker wire to rca but i need some advice. got any?

okay i know im gonna get alot of crap for this but do you think he could beef up my sony two channel amp? i think it would so cool to have a sleeper amp that people see where theyd all say "pssh, sony" and then i blow them away with bass. lol. also it has a high pitched humming noise that only happens when i first start the car and goes away after a few minutes of bumping, think that could be fixed? its not the ground. my old alpine amp didnt have that problem

Well EXO not to step on toes, but Dave isn't the owner, he is the repair genius. Richard owns the place, and I am the sales manager. Now adding more caps, is a no can do. The amp board it's self is designed to hold a specific number of caps. What CAN be done, is to remove the smaller cheaper caps, and replace them with bigger, more costly ones. Now if we do that, we may need to also change the rails, and all kinds of stuff. The best thing you can do Is ship it off, let us take a look.

Yes we can beef up MTX amps, but the trick is to remove the protection, and add some bigger parts in the right places. This will allow you to run at 1 ohm, and kick out some real power, but wouldn't make much of a difference on your current 2 ohm set up.
