If you want to find innovations that other browsers don't have take a look at what Opera mini and mobile have been doing for handheld devices! Opera Software is awesome and more efficient for my crazy browsing habits than any other browser ever.
i use opera as my standard browser, but alas, you cant get around the internet without having firefox as a backup for those things opera crashes on. googlewave comes to mind, and billing services
That's one of the simplest and most important CSS3 things. Opera doesn't support it, not even as -opera-border-radius or anything like that. Both WebKit and Gecko support it as border-radius with no proprietary vendor-specific prefix.
It is quite simple. As I've said previously, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari have had it for AGES, perhaps even over a year. Opera isn't "innovative" at all. I actually like Opera and use it occasionally, but it's not as great standards-wise as people say it is.
Opera was the first browser to support User JavaScript (version 8, 2003; Greasemonkey wasn't released until 2005.) It was also the first browser to support tabs, when version 2 was released in 1996 (although, back then, it was called a Multi-document interface, or MDI.)
If you wish to know all the now-standard features across all major web browsers that originated in Opera, there's a page on Opera Software's site stating all of them.

Yeah, Opera created CSS. I agree that it was FAR better than any other browser seven years ago. Nowadays, it's just lagging behind. I'm still going to think it's the second-worst browser behind IE unless Opera Software ASA gets its act together and implements what other browsers have had for ages.
The fact that gecko and WebKit have implemented (an earlier draft of) the spec doesn't necessarily mean it's simple to implements on Opera's side. Opera might not the most innovative browser in CSS atm, but they were the first to implement Web Forms 2/HTML5 forms. They also support |content:| on all elements from CSS3-content, which I'd really like to see in Gecko and WebKit. But again, the next major version will probably include border-radius.
As a European I can tell you one thing he's done. He ended the nuclear shield program that would of put nukes in eastern European countries that where to be aimed at Russia and Iran as a deterrent. This plan was set up by G.W, and was frowned apon by the rest of the world.
Obama put aside something that would obviously be in the security interests of America, to benefit the security interests of the rest of the world. When people say he's done "nothing" they are either ignorant or lying.
Opera is so epic Firefox is copying it.

Does Opera support WebGL?
Does it support even basic CSS3,
like border-radius? Firefox and Chrome
(especially Chrome) have for a long
time. Also, Opera is proprietary. Makes
sense :P
linuxgeek64 2 years ago
I'm not sure about WebGL but Opera 10 supports CSS3 to some extent, if not fully.

Great, maybe someone who was there can tell us why the hell Obama got a peace prize?
For peacefully continuing all the wars George W. Bush started? Seriously, what the has he done? At least Al Gore had that whole Global Warming scam.
