@Kaesoism The Writer and Director of the show said in a interview that they are leaving the choice of whether he lived or died up to the individual fan...so in basic words its up to our personal opinions, to the Writer and Director they personally like to think of a happy ending, which one could see as him living but again; its up to our own views. I hope this helps, if anyone disagrees then feel free to do so, I'm no expert on this topic; it's just what I heard.

@l337m4s73r Because Lelouch is ownage,his character is rare to find not to mention he (SPOILERRRR)died to save the world,putting all the worlds hatred on him.Suzaku was another "Hero" he massarced everyone and I dont count him as hero for saving 10 out of the 25.000 he killed..At least lelouch completed his purpose.Oh and suzaku had that friend mechanic of Lloyd too m8:P

But still CC and Kallen are better than those shitty:P Shirley sucks in my opinion,it was boring with scenes with her.
