  • Come on guys, no need for maori seats at all. Culture is completely irrelevant if you know who you are as a person, you dont need this to be implemented at a government level. The rights of Maori are no different to the of any human being. Good morale qualities do not need to be passed down culturally and are something you should aspire to as a human being. We are all citizens of the world.

  • What do you mean "right or wrong" or "just and unjust"?.Which minority has the majority of prisoners in this country?,and more importantly how can this be reduced?.

Its not done by giving parliamentry power without working for it!.Ive been homeless for a large percentage of last year.Lived on the foreshore, survived on fish.Went hungry when the weather was bad.NOt once did i resort 2crime.I am content with who i am and what ive got.Maori need to accept this2.Then change will occur.

  • Maori do accept it genius, but how do you prevent crime not of your making?

  • @TheNotpc1.. don't be naive! Why do you think our negative statistics are so high.. it took more than being homeless and living of the land for a year! Huge communities of our people were forced of their traditional cultivating lands and left disorientated and destitute for MANY years!! DO NOT EVEN TRY TO COMPARE YOUR SITUATION. Typical, you get a small taste of struggle and think you know what it's like?? What it was like for my ancestors to go from a thriving community to nothing! Get real!!!

  • I am not a Maori but i am real proud of you guys. Its bigger than Maori or Pakeha. This is about right and wrong. Its about just or unjust. Its about freedom or tyranny. This is a global issue and we must fight it here. Take the small battles and the big battles. Its not about race to me. I see us as human beings. I am for equality for all but something is wrong with society if Maori make up most of the prison population. This has to end. There has to be national unity against govt corruption

  • go maori go....tahi rua toru wha pukana

  • I loved it when all the maori from Orakei then from the north and south all met up at the bottom of Queen St, then there was a mean haka. It was so well organised, Kia Ora Rawinia
