ive got the honda gx200 6.5 hp , its put together but it won't start, its pretty old and has been unstarted for yeeeaaars.. if i upload a video of the assembling could you say what's done wrong or what we have to do more?
you people are idiots i just tested it so i know on my 6.5hp harbor freight engine that you dont need to take it apart to bypass the governor action all you do is remove the gas tank temporally, replace the spring that goes from the stock hand throttle control lever to the governor arm with a solid piece of small steel rod and it force the governor arm inside the engine so that the governor is almost useless unless u put it back to normal
Hello I just put high performance valve spring on my harbor freight 6.5 clone engine, and noticed that there was not an intake valve lash cap between the rocker arm and the top of the intake valve stem. Is this correct, or was this cap missing from the factory? any help would be helpful thank you very much. Eric
Billet rod or not. If i were running this engine in a high RPM/performance situation I would remove the low oil senser. You may get a few more oz of oil into the engine without going overfull. When it comes to lubrication and cooling more oil is better. As long as you do not overfill.
Man I loved the video very well doe ,but the way you rig the throttle linkage makes it really short and touchy . I made a longer rod out of a 1/8 " stainless welding rod after removing the flux. I then attached it to the pivot arm closer to the center. That gave me a little more travel. for the cable. It all worked out fine . Thanks for posting.
well it really depends on what youre using it for. If youre using the cart for mainly street use, id say take it off. but if youre using it mainly on dirt, Id say leave it on because if you spin out full throttle you wont rev the shit out of the engine. Ive found the govenor to be very handy when drifting on dirt :)
Depends on the engine I think. The oil slinger on my tecumseh is a dipper that is held on the bottom of the connecting rod with one of the connecting rod bolts. On some briggs it is the oil slinger. (at least according to my teacher)
@crazy5634 it might me tht its to lean or when does it happen at what rpm
