Kyle's got immense racing talent, as much as anyone in the sport. But the fact of the matter is he is still maturing as a young man, and he has a little way to go with that. Look at his brother; Kurt did a lot to anger fans in his first few seasons. He realized that, didn't want to be the bad guy, and has won some of those fans over. Kyle relishes the bad guy role. He's willing to anger a crowd. Kyle's fans who say they don't understand why he isn't liked are overlooking that fact.
Kyle wanted to change his attitude for his team. He, and his spotter Jeff Dickerson talked about it. Kyle wants to be the leader on his team, that's why you see the attitude change. Kyle has a different sponsor almost every week in the Nationwide series. You really think he couldn't get another one in Cup. There was absolutely no sponsor pressure. Kyle said it himself...
Any time a race doesn't turn out in Kyle Busch's favor, he acts exactly as you see here. His nicey-nice post-race interview at Richmond no doubt came as a result of pressure from sponsors and/or JD/Joe Gibbs. Last season he wouldn't have given that interview, he would've stomped back to his motorcoach without saying a word to anyone. However, Brian Vickers says his job is to win the race; if that's true then he has to know racing the 18 so hard will allow the 88 to come around them both.

I was at this race yesterday. The boos that Kyle Bush received during driver introductions, and again with what he said about Vickers on the PA system afterward, were louder than anything I ever heard for Jeff Gordon back in the '90s. He only won cause he had one of the cleanest drivers in racing behind him being Mark Martin. If that was anyone else they probably would have used the chrom horn like Carl did there last year or spun his ass around like Tony did at Daytona. BTW Dale Jr isnt a bad driver. I dont think he would have 2 Nationwide championships 18 sprint cup wins and a Daytona 500 if he was.

I was at this race yesterday. The boos that Kyle Bush received during driver introductions, and again with what he said about Vickers on the PA system afterward, were louder than anything I ever heard for Jeff Gordon back in the '90s. Even if he changes his attitude, it will be a long time before fans will respect him.
