Govt takes money from producers and use it to negotiate with their own supporters! Even FDR and George Meany saw the injustice in this Banana Republic scheme.
@margeys ROTFLMAO. Even when you go to the original video, it is the SAME content, only it is worse!! There was no deception here or in the original video. Does just saying it is a lie make it easier for you to swallow? The NEA made their point LOUD AND CLEAR!!
Why are liberals screaming about lies with the truth right here in front of them. They can't deal with the ramifications is why? Follow the continuous circle of disaster and understand there is a huge problem. The children lose out. Unions send dues money and favors to politicians-politicians send taxpayer money and favors to union and union members. What's not to love about that relationship if you are a Democrat? If you want to whine about corporations, fine, get rid of K st. also.
@infinitewisdom4u Your words are so accurate! But progressives and SEIU thugs much prefer name-calling and threatening protests in the yards of a politician's mother's house. Loud, littering, window-breaking types who demand your money to cover their 20 to 25 year retirement---and health benefits. In Cincy OH, the public employee retirees are owed some $93 million in vacation and benefits alone! Google it...Cincinnati Enquirer.
OUT FOXED clearly exposed Fox's propensity for stretching the truth. Canada's principaled stance on denying the broadcast of lies from their territory sent Fox away empty handed. What more do you need?
@rionocoo If you don't like Fox, change the channel. Cite an example of stretching the truth. Fox News reporting is down the middle. But they do have opinion programs. However, you're fine with all college campuses, all k12 schools, all major newspapers and most TV networks leaning left to varying degrees. That's okay. But Fox leaning right in opinion is intolerable. And don't try to deny k-12 schools and universities lean left. Any objective standard would confirm this. You're so balanced.
When private sector unions go into collective bargaining, management is there to represent management.
When public sector unions go into collective bargaining, who represents we, the taxpayers, who pay the public sector union employees?
Politicians, that's who. Politicians who get elected BY the public sector Union campaign donations. Then the public sector unions get FAVORS from the politicians they help elect.
I refer you to the exchange between Milton Friedman and Phil Donahue. Friedman schools Donahue on the topic and definition of "greed." I encourage you to google it and absorb the historical perspective. Donahue did not refute Friedman. Because he couldn't.
Fascist eh? Selfish interests? So when was the last time you took your paycheck and cashed it and passed it out to your neighbors? Or are you too selfish to share? Why aren't you giving away more of your paycheck? Why isn't the homeless person living in your spare room? Or are you looking after your selfish interests?
Dems care about POWER...over others. They expect dependents to vote for them when they, in a caring way, take money from some and give it to those they deem worthy of it. Walter Williams calls it legalized theft. Everyone is looking out for themselves. That's why people live in separate homes! But I happily donate to church, Covenant House for inner city youth, VFW. I wish I could do more.
Don't give me your crap about Dems not caring about people. Some do, some don't, but open your history books and see which party has consistently developed programs to help others. You're just looking out for your self and will say anything to justify your sorry position-- even to the point of spouting that which is complete opposite of the truth. oh Wait a second.... I get it.... you're really a character from George Orwell... that explains it all.
You're funny. Chris Wallace, Brit Hume, Geraldo Rivera, Shepard Smith, Juan Williams, Bernard Goldberg (29 years at CBS). Should I go on? Why did Obama go on O'Reilly? Take a good look at the merchandise you're tryingto push at NPR and MSNBC. I suppose Chris Matthews and Lawrence O'Donnell are right down the middle, eh?
@OHnative I'm not talking about "having a point of view" or even taking an editorialized outright position. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm talking about outright lies that Fox and your beloved corporate extreme manipulation factory churns out. You are either too dumb to see (or pay attention to) any of this, or you so don't give a crap about anyone else and are just looking out for your own selfish interests... willing to recycle the fascist lies here for your own gain.
regarding your comment about Fox news... Fox news has been denied operation in Canada because of its PROVEN reputation for spin and outright lies. Who's devoid of facts here? You are so pumped up on your rhetoric that you don't even know when you're making stupid statements.
He says Van Jones was railroaded! Van Jones' own words got him fired. He is a self-described Marxist. For you to describe him as "great" tells me how dangerous your ideas are. Private property rights mean nothing to you. They are the bedrock of a free people. And what a company does with its earnings is its business. Not yours.
@OHnative Yep, the struggle. Not The STRUGGLE. I'm talking about the Koch Bros., not "rich people." I respect anyone that finds their way ethically. I don't respect liars who put working people at risk for profit as the Koch do. Your regulation and wealth generalities are bullshit. When tax policies push businesses to re-invest rather than take money out, things will get better. Mindless tax breaks to already-rich people is a big fail.
Using "the struggle" does not make me a Communist. Labeling me makes you an insincere manipulator. I condemned The Koch Bros., not capitalism. I didn't call wealthy people evil. Republican mercenaries operate in their self-interest at the expense of all taxpayers. When tax law made cashing in less profitable than re-investing, companies grew, the middle class thrived and everybody won. Now, cashing in has little consequence. Hence, bloated bank accounts sit idle while jobs go overseas.
@MikeFarrace Jobs go overseas because of the increasing cost per employee here. Federal regulations, rising health costs and union demands to be more specific. If you do not refute the tactics of Van Jones and Francis Fox Piven which involve endorsing social unrest and chaos, then "the struggle" comment ties you to them. Republican mercenaries?? Who does not operate in their self interest? Everyone does! Self interest makes capitalism work. I'd rather have rich people here than elsewhere!
This is the epitome of the struggle. All the rhetoric is bullshit. For decades the right has quietly focused its cash and influence because the rewards are enormous. The left? A few great souls devote their lives with principle but most are just trying to pay the bills. Unions have long protected working men and women, even the ones who do not have a union. This is hardball. Unions must flex their muscle. The Koch brothers spread their inherited wealth to subvert the common good for profit.
@MikeFarrace You are denying history. In all of recorded history, no society has ever created more wealth and a better middle class than that of the US-capitalist system. The grinding poverty that exists in the world is in instances in which your regulatory, European style economies exist like France & Greece. From the automobile to medical innovation, our military might & high-tech industries, we are not hear by accident. Point to ONE other country better. Capitalism w/ its faults, is the best!
@MikeFarrace The STRUGGLE? Sounds like self-described Communist Van Jones! No more calls, we have a winner. Most wealthy Americans are 1st generation millionnaires. Read the story about John Huntsman, a billionnaire. What a good & decent man. It's a shame to generalize all rich people as evil. Not all Americans have the same drive, same talent, same financial goals. If not, where do you find the Angels to organize society...BHO intending to do that, isn't he?
@OHnative more facts? I doubt any of this stuff you're spouting is based in facts. and nooooo.... you can't count what Bill O'Reilly tells you or any other spin from Fox. But you probably haven't noticed the connection yet between these shills, corporate media and some of the wealthiest power-mongers on the planet. again, wake up!
@ejfiii Just because you doubt my statements, does not make them false. Again, if you have no facts, attack Fox News. If I were devoid of facts, like you, I'd rely on a similar tactic. I'm impressed. And so is Saul Alinsky, Obama's patron saint.
And exactly what do you know about Saul Alinsky? Have you actually read his books? It is soooo easy to repeat what you have been told and soooo hard to the reading for yourself. Try it.
@dhlyon LOL. What do you know about Barack Obama? Name for me ONE journalist who went to Chicago to learn of his background and his associates and his contribution to the ONE-party apparatus there. Name one. We know more about Sarah Palin's background than BHO's. His college records sealed. His transcripts and writings sealed. His associates prevented from being interviewed. Obama knows the Alinsky tactics, "by whatever means necessary." Case in point: Obamacare.
Gee, when the taxpayers got skinned for the trillions that went to the mortgage, investment, and insurance fraudsters in exchange for their worthless securities like the structured investment vehicles , none of these guys seemed to notice that the treasury was being emptied and the national credit cards were being maxed. Where are the TV ads demanding jail sentences and our money back? Could that be why the government is broke?
Only revolutionaries in America will ignore who unions support...with OUR tax dollars. It's right there for you to listen to...BHO says it all. I left Youngstown OH because the unemployment rate is perpetually double-digits...since 1977...all union and heavy regulations. I see CA licensed plates all over TX because there are jobs here. Hate corporations all you want--maybe you can push their HQ to TX. The slavery lies ahead with 60% tax rates on producers of society.
@OHnative "Only revolutionaries in America will ignore who unions support" guess you haven't noticed the quiet revolution the corporate elite has pulled off over the past 30 yrs? Democrats support unions partly because in a very over-simplified assessment, Dems and liberals tend to care about other people... the common good. The Republican party has been hijacked by the corporate elite and turned into the "what's in it for me party." You doing pretty good financially, are you, pal?
@ejfiii Liberals do not care about other people, but they want you to think that. Look at what Dems have done to the black family. It is disfunctional and their inner city schools are the worst with the worst-behaving kids and with no atmosphere to learn. I have 2 siblings teaching inner city and it's chaos! Obama took away funds in DC for alternative schools for inner city kids and now they must be thrown to the wolves in the public schools--while his kids attend private schools. How caring!!
Amazing at how a video can be used to completely distort a message, to mean its complete opposite. But you think because you see it with your eyes, the message must be true. and here is a perfect example of seeing is NOT believing
Great video. Funny to read comments below by isftpoawawh. He, like all acolytes of Saul Alinsky, attacks instead of debating the facts. Public unions suck money from tax payers and funnel it back to Democrats. 95% of dues go to Dems and Obama. In 2008, Obama raised 2x that of McCain, so isftpoawawh is completely wrong about rich. Public Unions look after employees first and look after the consumer last. Ex: public schools & USPS. Why are big cities like NYC, SF, Chicago, all 1-party systems?
@OHnative what about the facts? 95% of dues go to Dems? prove it. and how do unions suck money from tax payers? by demanding a working wage? how is our government using my tax dollars to pay the unions-- and which unions? think you got it backwards. it's the corporate elite who is sucking money from the poor and middle class. yeah, the kock bros are out there looking out for your best interest. right. Is that why you're willing to fight their battle for them? wake up.
@ejfiii You are so bitter. Shouldn't you be breaking windows somewhere while holding a bullhorn? Unions in WI are demanding pensions paid for by taxpayers who are desperate to hold their jobs and homes. Look at CA, Illinois, etc...states are collapsing. These unfunded liabilities fall in the trillions. State employees often retire at 55 after 30 years with full pay and ben thanks to taxpayer. The corruption is politicians negotiating with taxpayer money with THEIR OWN Union constituents.
@OHnative and you are such a sucker. Again, where are the facts? here's a fact for you.... millions of middle class people slip into the rands of poverty every year... while over 90% of the wealth in this country is possessed by 2 % of the people. wake up. the money keeps getting squeezed up to the richest of the rich-- not down to the poor working folk. and yes, there are those all along the spectum who don't deserve what they take-- even union members. but that's no the point.
Unions have maybe 1/100th the money of the Republican Fascist rich/corporations. You average joes who are conservative are heading towards slavery, supporting the people enslaving you nd are too ignorant or stupid or brainwashd to see it. If you don't get smart fast you are done, along with the rest of us, and no Billy Bob, you will never be welcome on Donald Trumps Yacht!
more fear mongering from the extreme right facists. Sad to know that so many Americans fall for this crap and never bother to gather information from multiple sources and perspectives. very effective at making angry hard-working people get pissed off at the wrong people. these corporate jerks like the kock brothers are getting their own victims to do their dirty work.... brilliant! Ain't in grand what money can buy?
This of course is a totally edited message, that has been put together to make these people seem like they only care about money, it is not what the message said, but a typical conservative/the rich/foxnews hack job. Just the fact that money is being spent on this, like it was a political campaign shows how much money and power is out to get the unions, the little mouse standing up for the average guy against the 800 lb gorilla's in the room.
What Chanin is saying - something that is easily found with a little effort - is that the members and their dues give them power to advocate for children. That their influence and power does not come from simply caring about children.
Please try to consider as many sides to every argument that you can, before you accept deliberate horse manure like this.
PUKE! They're pitting middle-class against middle-class. A classic divide and conquer technique to make propaganda more effective. If anything, this should tell the NON-union workers how badly they're being manipulated... Form a union, make 42% MORE! Why begrudge your neighbors an adequate salary?
@Thegonagle Yo! Your pay raise becomes effective when you are! There is no such thing as "an adequate salary." Why not start your own company and produce something with your own hands and mind?? You get online and demand that others pay taxes for you to demand "an adequate salary"? Unions have destroyed Detroit, Y-town OH, Buffalo, etc. You live in the 1950's when we have a global economy. Greece and Spain have your kind of demands for workers and they grind through life w/ 20% unemployment!
Anyone who believes that this ad is sincere in any way deserves the fascist, third-world America that they end up with. The Koch brothers love your ignorance.
Bad enough the left gives conservative ideas and ideals the negative connotations, but why do we do it to ourselves?? Those that see unions in a positive light are the ones that need to see this message. And we just turned them off to this message before they would even consider watching it.
Bob Chanin's remarks were clearly taken out of context. You Tube has his farewell speech in its entirety. The ability of any organization to advocate for the causes it supports is based in POWER. Power comes from numbers or $ or both. The kinds of things the NEA and its members advocate for are based on caring for children and having great public schools for every child.
The story of how the employer/employee relationship was humanized as it evolved from its master/servant relationship roots is NOT taught in the schools. It was not the captains of industry who did the job. Unions introduced limited democracy into a workplace where employers had the unilateral right to make ALL decisions about what happened in the workplace. Americans have a tendency to love democracy everywhere but in the workplace.
bull caca more poopaganda how bout those big corporations that are paying for those ads hehehehe nice hypocritical thinking there. gettin the stupid people to follow
Power certainly corrupts. Nobody can argue against video that displays in cold, hard facts that unions are really not for the workers. It's right here and it smacks you right in the face with the fact that this is what abuse of power can do. Nobody can argue what this Dem. congressman said. Nobody can argue what Obama said. It's right here. Prove it wrong.
"Why am I talking in this breathy voice? Why is this silly music playing? Why am I showing these goofy clips? Who paid me to talk this way? Why would they pay so much to make you believe this? Here is a random thing some guy said. Why would he say that? THEY aren't thinking of the children. Won't YOU think of the children?"
We must defeat the regressive party and undo the damage they have done to America, and we need to be united as citizens and workers against the right's looming threat of plutocracy.
Hilarious. In what magical world of prancing unicorns and fluttering fairies are school teachers with masters' degrees making 42% more than non-teachers with masters' degrees? Hell, I make more than they do, and I only have a 4-year.
Continued: To the contrary - these are the goals that guide the work we do. But they need not and must not be achieved at the expense of due process, employee rights, and collective bargaining."
This advertisement wreaks of bias and propaganda that, while I and others who see the clear goals of this paid-for advertisement would take it with a strong grain of salt, others will unfortunately accept it as the unadulterated truth.
To finish what that union boss was saying, who are willing to pay us hundreds of millions of dollars in dues each year because they believe that we are the uinions that can most effectively represent them, the unions that can protect their rights and advance their interests as education employees. This is not to say that the concern of NEA and its affiliates with closing achievements gaps, lowering dropout rates, or increasing teacher quality and the like are unimportant or inappropriate.
@JValorDV The NEA grew to corruption and one-sided representation of the biggest bullies. Nevertheless, teachers are wonderful human beings who deserve to be paid very well. They do not deserve to be bullied into a union they do not like. Power breeds corruption and it did with the NEA, as well. The labor unions controlling laws about who can help me with repairs in my house have raped us, however. I was charged $540 to install 2 ceiling fans that I had already purchased. Hello!!!????
@mediatingmensan Great comments. The personal experiences here affirm the shortcomings and lack of efficiency demanded by union leadership of its employees. Tell me, who among the union heads would dare call the union hall to get a plumbing job at home fixed? They don't! They call a self-employed guy who works 70-hour weeks and goes home at night to plan his next day! All these union bullies can type are name-calling, threatening themes I heard in Y-town OH.
@OHnative so boo hoo, you know some mean union people in youngstown... maybe even lost your job there. yes, unioins can suck. I watched Detroit fall apart-- and a lot of it had to do with the unions. But the corporate elite is just playing your anger on that subject. they push emotional buttons on people and you get so worked up that you think they're on your side because you agree with them. but they'll dump you in the ditch faster than any halfway human union member.
@ejfiii Nope--never lost a job in Y-town. I know many who left for good. Both Detroit & Y are runs by Dems who make promises they cannot keep to Union voters. Obama said as much above. Koch is here to make a profit, not for others. They want the best employees who who are paid what the market will bear. Just like baseball players. If you don't perform, you risk getting cut, unlike union people. If you don't like working for others, start your own company.
A+ propaganda campaign - a wonderfully made commercial that perfectly takes statements out of context, twists the truth, and demonizes a select group of people, such as unionized teachers that have helped make Wisconsin public schools among the very best in the nation. Unfortunately, while it may wreak of desperation to me and others who take paid-for advertisements spouting a clear agenda with a grain of salt, I fear too many Americans will take it as the unadulterated truth.
This is a case of shameless manipulation. It makes it sound like Chanin does not care about children or education while the fact is that he is talking about why the unions are effective: In other words, caring about children and schools alone is not going to change the hearts and minds of politicians who are bent of punishing the poor and rewarding the rich. It is sad that so many people can't see through this tripe. Very shameful. I am not a fan of unions, but this is sad.
Unions are generally a force of good, even though American unions are a bit screwed up. I've read studies and peer reviews to come to this conclusion. I had to sit down and look at data because I am incapable of forming an opinion on most things without having definitive proof and evidence to give me the conviction to believe.

Google it...Cincinnati Enquirer.

rionocoo 1 year ago

OHnative 1 year ago
Don't give me your crap about Dems not caring about people. Some do, some don't, but open your history books and see which party has consistently developed programs to help others. Not yours.
OHnative 1 year ago
@OHnative Yep, the struggle. Not The STRUGGLE. I'm talking about the Koch Bros., not "rich people." I respect anyone that finds their way ethically. I don't respect liars who put working people at risk for profit as the Koch do. Your regulation and wealth generalities are bullshit. When tax policies push businesses to re-invest rather than take money out, things will get better. Mindless tax breaks to already-rich people is a big fail.
PS: Van Jones is great. He was railroaded.
MikeFarrace 1 year ago
Can you say "Right Wing Propaganda?"
Sure you can!
BobDaniel56 1 year ago
Using "the struggle" does not make me a Communist. Labeling me makes you an insincere manipulator. I condemned The Koch Bros., not capitalism. I didn't call wealthy people evil. Republican mercenaries operate in their self-interest at the expense of all taxpayers. When tax law made cashing in less profitable than re-investing, companies grew, the middle class thrived and everybody won. Now, cashing in has little consequence. Hence, bloated bank accounts sit idle while jobs go overseas.
MikeFarrace 1 year ago 2
@MikeFarrace Jobs go overseas because of the increasing cost per employee here. Federal regulations, rising health costs and union demands to be more specific. If you do not refute the tactics of Van Jones and Francis Fox Piven which involve endorsing social unrest and chaos, then "the struggle" comment ties you to them. Republican mercenaries?? Who does not operate in their self interest? Everyone does! Self interest makes capitalism work. I'd rather have rich people here than elsewhere!
OHnative 1 year ago
This is the epitome of the struggle. All the rhetoric is bullshit. For decades the right has quietly focused its cash and influence because the rewards are enormous. The left? A few great souls devote their lives with principle but most are just trying to pay the bills. Unions have long protected working men and women, even the ones who do not have a union. This is hardball. Unions must flex their muscle. The Koch brothers spread their inherited wealth to subvert the common good for profit.
MikeFarrace 1 year ago
@MikeFarrace You are denying history. In all of recorded history, no society has ever created more wealth and a better middle class than that of the US-capitalist system. The grinding poverty that exists in the world is in instances in which your regulatory, European style economies exist like France & Greece. From the automobile to medical innovation, our military might & high-tech industries, we are not hear by accident. Point to ONE other country better. Capitalism w/ its faults, is the best!
OHnative 1 year ago 2
@MikeFarrace The STRUGGLE? Sounds like self-described Communist Van Jones! No more calls, we have a winner. Most wealthy Americans are 1st generation millionnaires. Read the story about John Huntsman, a billionnaire. What a good & decent man. It's a shame to generalize all rich people as evil. Not all Americans have the same drive, same talent, same financial goals. If not, where do you find the Angels to organize society...BHO intending to do that, isn't he?
OHnative 1 year ago 2
@OHnative more facts? I doubt any of this stuff you're spouting is based in facts. and nooooo.... you can't count what Bill O'Reilly tells you or any other spin from Fox. @ejfiii Just because you doubt my statements, does not make them false. Again, if you have no facts, attack Fox News. If I were devoid of facts, like you, I'd rely on a similar tactic. I'm impressed. And so is Saul Alinsky, Obama's patron saint.

OHnative 1 year ago
@OHnative "Only revolutionaries in America will ignore who unions support" guess you haven't noticed the quiet revolution the corporate elite has pulled off over the past 30 yrs? Democrats support unions partly because in a very over-simplified assessment, Dems and liberals tend to care about other people... the common good. The Republican party has been hijacked by the corporate elite and turned into the "what's in it for me party." You doing pretty good financially, are you, pal?
ejfiii 1 year ago
@ejfiii Liberals do not care about other people, but they want you to think that. Look at what Dems have done to the black family. Obama took away funds in DC for alternative schools for inner city kids and now they must be thrown to the wolves in the public schools--while his kids attend private schools. How caring!!

AbuMubarak 1 year ago
Great video. Funny to read comments below by isftpoawawh. He, like all acolytes of Saul Alinsky, attacks instead of debating the facts. Public unions suck money from tax payers and funnel it back to Democrats. 95% of dues go to Dems and Obama. In 2008, Obama raised 2x that of McCain, so isftpoawawh is completely wrong about rich. Public Unions look after employees first and look after the consumer last. Ex: public schools & USPS. Why are big cities like NYC, SF, Chicago, all 1-party systems?
OHnative 1 year ago
@OHnative what about the facts? 95% of dues go to Dems? prove it. and how do unions suck money from tax payers? by demanding a working wage? how is our government using my tax dollars to pay the unions-- and which unions? think you got it backwards. it's the corporate elite who is sucking money from the poor and middle class. yeah, the kock bros are out there looking out for your best interest. right. Is that why you're willing to fight their battle for them? wake up.
ejfiii 1 year ago
@ejfiii You are so bitter. Shouldn't you be breaking windows somewhere while holding a bullhorn? Unions in WI are demanding pensions paid for by taxpayers who are desperate to hold their jobs and homes. Look at CA, Illinois, etc...states are collapsing. These unfunded liabilities fall in the trillions. State employees often retire at 55 after 30 years with full pay and ben thanks to taxpayer. The corruption is politicians negotiating with taxpayer money with THEIR OWN Union constituents.
OHnative 1 year ago
@OHnative and you are such a sucker. Again, where are the facts? here's a fact for you.... millions of middle class people slip into the rands of poverty every year... while over 90% of the wealth in this country is possessed by 2 % of the people. wake up. the money keeps getting squeezed up to the richest of the rich-- not down to the poor working folk. and yes, there are those all along the spectum who don't deserve what they take-- even union members. but that's no the point.

The Right LOVES your ignorance.

Thegonagle 1 year ago
@Thegonagle Yo! Your pay raise becomes effective when you are! There is no such thing as "an adequate salary." Why not start your own company and produce something with your own hands and mind?? You get online and demand that others pay taxes for you to demand "an adequate salary"? Unions have destroyed Detroit, Y-town OH, Buffalo, etc. You live in the 1950's when we have a global economy. Greece and Spain have your kind of demands for workers and they grind through life w/ 20% unemployment!

The problem with this: "Anti-union".
Bad enough the left gives conservative ideas and ideals the negative connotations, but why do we do it to ourselves?? Those that see unions in a positive light are the ones that need to see this message. And we just turned them off to this message before they would even consider watching it.
flyguyseth 1 year ago
Bob Chanin's remarks were clearly taken out of context. You Tube has his farewell speech in its entirety. The ability of any organization to advocate for the causes it supports is based in POWER. Power comes from numbers or $ or both. The kinds of things the NEA and its members advocate for are based on caring for children and having great public schools for every child.
mckretzschmar 1 year ago
The story of how the employer/employee relationship was humanized as it evolved from its master/servant relationship roots is NOT taught in the schools. It was not the captains of industry who did the job. Unions introduced limited democracy into a workplace where employers had the unilateral right to make ALL decisions about what happened in the workplace. Americans have a tendency to love democracy everywhere but in the workplace.

JValorDV 1 year ago
@JValorDV The NEA grew to corruption and one-sided representation of the biggest bullies. Nevertheless, teachers are wonderful human beings who deserve to be paid very well. They do not deserve to be bullied into a union they do not like. Power breeds corruption and it did with the NEA, as well. The labor unions controlling laws about who can help me with repairs in my house have raped us, however. I was charged $540 to install 2 ceiling fans that I had already purchased. Hello!!!????
mediatingmensan 1 year ago
@mediatingmensan Great comments. The personal experiences here affirm the shortcomings and lack of efficiency demanded by union leadership of its employees. Tell me, who among the union heads would dare call the union hall to get a plumbing job at home fixed? They don't! They call a self-employed guy who works 70-hour weeks and goes home at night to plan his next day! All these union bullies can type are name-calling, threatening themes I heard in Y-town OH.
OHnative 1 year ago
@OHnative so boo hoo, you know some mean union people in youngstown... maybe even lost your job there. yes, unioins can suck. I watched Detroit fall apart-- and a lot of it had to do with the unions. But the corporate elite is just playing your anger on that subject. they push emotional buttons on people and you get so worked up that you think they're on your side because you agree with them. but they'll dump you in the ditch faster than any halfway human union member.
ejfiii 1 year ago
@ejfiii Nope--never lost a job in Y-town. I know many who left for good. Both Detroit & Y are runs by Dems who make promises they cannot keep to Union voters. Obama said as much above. Koch is here to make a profit, not for others. They want the best employees who who are paid what the market will bear. Just like baseball players. If you don't perform, you risk getting cut, unlike union people. If you don't like working for others, start your own company.
