Well Michael, We have the right because we were GIVEN the right when the constitution was made in 1960. Accepted by Greek Cypriots, Greece, Britain and Turkey. Considering what Turkish Cypriots went through because of Greeks, I think they more than deserve it.

The Turkish military should bugger off. There need not be a new United Republic of Cyprus; there already was one, since 1960. Turkey has no business in Cyprus. The fact that the illegal occupation of the northern part of Cyprus did not provoke a military reaction from NATO is only due to NATO buttkissing up Turkey's hiney during the Cold War years. But then, anyone with half a brain knows what an incredible bunch of hypocrites make up NATO.

99% of the Island voted yes to the union, on this percentage the 16% were Turkish Cypriots. The Turkish military should bugger off. There need not be a new United Republic of Cyprus; there already was one, since 1960. Turkey has no business in Cyprus. The fact that the illegal occupation of the northern part of Cyprus did not provoke a military reaction from NATO is only due to NATO buttkissing up Turkey's hiney during the Cold War years. Cyprus belongs to it's people, a land of glorious past and you want to turn it into a frontline, why? Stand united and you'll be strong. I like both greeks and turks, great people with great history.

99% of the Island voted yes to the union, on this percentage the 16% were Turkish Cypriots. Just face it dude, Turkey wants to control the Island and its using Turkish Cypriots and turning them against us. TRNC is Illegal, only turkey recognise it.Greek Cypriots were in the Island since 10000 B.C, Turks came the 100 years and they are a minority of 15% and 3% are maronites and armenians... Turks wanted more power in the politics, we gave them the right to elect vise president and 20% of the parliament seats... but they wanted more... and we didnt agreed and they choose to go to a war with Greek Cypriots, we defended our selvs, and they send Turkey against us.

YES UNITED CYPRUS REPUBLIC! I am GREEK and want the TURKISH CYPRIOTS and GREEK CYPRIOTS to live together. But the mainland Turks must leave and turks should get their land back and greeks should getr their land back. However this will never happen:(
