A powerplant on a glider pretty much just makes it a self-launching glider. Sometimes the engine is smaller and only really meant to sustain flight between thermals.

Ah, it's one from PSR-Jets.. I saw the test-model including Jet in real, in Hoya :)
It makes at full power around 29Kg of thrust...

@apatheticzealot It's a PSR-jet, makes 29Kg of thrust at full power. That's I think around 60lbs...

Thats what I want to know. I would love to see a glider powered by a small scale jet engine thats used in model jets.
