another way of mixing without using fx is to beatmatch and work the eq's ... but thats not a fundamental part of djing so fair enough you show beginners stuff like this instead.

What the fuck? What I do is while the song is playing I slowly bring the volume up in the opposite deck while the song is synced. Then as the chorus almost starts i transition to the other song.
