  • "I don't feel I have a message to give, a thing to say" (Kapoor) ??? Really? I bet they just took you by surprise, right? these guys with the interview... cause otherwise I cannot believe that an artist makes an exhibition on purpose without having a... purpose. But you, sir, did it without trying to send a message. So... does that make you an artist?

  • Anish Kapoor is great.

  • the most overestimated artist today!

  • Take a look at my video production. You will find all kinds of interesting between heaven and earth! You will not be disappointed!

  • those are Monumental Works of Art* Pure Genius Anish Kapoor******

  • I liked him before he put on all that weight.

  • guggenheim en Bilbao

  • It's really hard to admire this stuff in a book or on a screen.

  • 1:20...... jeezuz....

never seen such an imaginative and powerful installation.... man hes got sooo much....

  • I love Kapoor, this is great. Was this from a documentary or programme and if so what channel was it aired on and when? I may quote something from this in an essay and will need to know what to cite as the source. Thanks

  • @Wviilk Glad you found the video interesting. This is the whole video; it was made by and for The Economist and uploaded September 24th 2009 (interview conducted at The Royal Academy of Arts, London September 22nd 2009).

  • @EconomistMagazine thank you! much appreciated

  • his job is amazing ! I have to talk about him in one of my work, and i'm glad I took it.

  • His work is trying to find a place in me,,,I didn't know I had...it is taking time to evolve as I grasp the concept and the immensity of the feelings...it's growing inside me and it cannot escape...

  • i feel what he' means when he says "i work for myself [...] i let the viewer find the space..."

i agree with him, it couldn't be otherwise but, as a young artist myself working with non-figurative means i sometimes feel somehow forced to guide the observers inside my works. Rothko said "a painting lives by companionship" and i belive this happends when your works are perceived sensibly and not just dismissed. open minded people will reach the artwork essence, but what about the reluctant ones?
