Man, it took me up until I watched a split second of this to realize Larry in Hoyle Classic is this Larry... Maybe Sierra should have been even more blatant with their plugs.
@Sambucacat Yes you are correct. LOLOL. I was about 9 years old when I played the original. But I didn't beat it until I was 13. Ah the good old days of sierra gaming. :)
Sierra is potentially losing a lot of money by not making another old-school style quest/adventure game.
The execs behind transformers thought their best bet for years was to dump the entire old 80's line and market all new crap. Then the new transformers movie came out and showed everyone there's HUGE-ass demand for that older stuff.
Same with the king's quest/space quest etc type games. Massive, massive demand from people who grew up with it and new people who'd also like it.
yes, the brand is owned by Activision but the company as we're remembering died in 1999. You will never see another Sierra adventure, ever. Yes on paper, the Sierra brand "exists" but they've been long dead. Adventure games simply require in comparison to Action/FPS a longer development cycle and more expenses. Why do you think LucasArts stopped making adventure games as well? They're not as cost effective, action/fps is a broader audience. It's all about the money, really.
Indeed, they should have kept those. The crossovers are kind of the charm with the easter eggs in the games. What's better with this one is the sound of when the new Larry clone gets charged with leisure suit mojo. =)
Will Larry Blend?

I can't think off hand of any other games that your character gets ground to paste in a gigantic blender XD
