3D Ripper DX - is a software to captures geometry, shaders and stuff. when u install it, it will automatically install a special ripper format importer. Once captured ingame, it will output geometry files which u can import into max using FILE/import. U'll have all your map or maybe partially imported in max. There u can do what u want...
I know all this stuff. And I tried to use it with TF2 but the thing is that the game doesn't have it's own exe file. It uses hl2.exe and there are no command lines to make it launch TF2 that I know of. I even tried using it in global monitoring mode (or w/e it's called) and the game just crashes on startup.
instead of banging ur brain with creating screenshots and wraping them into a panorama, u could use render to panorama in 3dsmax. 1 click job. Ofc u should have the map extracted with ripperdx and imported into max, or even use a similar lighting hdr.
Did you make wallpaper or did you download from somewhere? if you so can i get link cuz its awesome ^^
