How refreshing it is to hear musicians play music with feeling and soul! The passion is not forced onto the music but a part of the performers and infused into their music making.
Simply beautiful. Occasionally, the piano was over-bearing, but that was probably due to mic placement. Obviously, this group understands the soul and heart of this gorgeous music.
The players look young but I expect we'll hear a lot of great things from them.
1:54 - Oh! Very bad! This is meant to be the most beautiful part of the piece. It shoudl have much more emotion and contrast - it shouldn't be very wild and such.
The violinist was formerly the concertmaster of the world youth orchestra. I'll be playing the Mendelssohn violin concerto with her this year. Should be fun.
I like it! This piece is beautiful. But I think the piano is to much for the strings. Sometimes I can't hear the violin cause of the piano... It may happened because the recording... :)
Don't forget that every thing has a season...a time to be. This was the time for Robert and Clara. The genious of their souls can be analyzed and dissected but remember not to miss the more important thing that their music was simply a gift to all of us from God that was meant to simply be enjoyed for what it is... without the need for intense analysis. Pure flowing art that keeps us all from reverting to savagery and cannabalism..
nI quite agree with you completely!!!! Who are they? The pianist and the cellist look familiar- takke a look at the Schubert Nocturne Bb flat major Op. 148. That was truly moving !
lovely movement - though have not heard any other version to compare.
vmartisius provides the info on the performers: Marco Alesi (Piano), Celeste Williams (Violin),
Anna Martin-Scrase (Cello) - love this and Shubert's nocturne; particulary taken by Anna's perfect performance on cello (with nary a hint of emotion - masterfull)

I have some questions for all you fans :)
1. Who is the composer/ Who is the performer
2. What is the piece of music, opus number/info?
3. When was it written/When was it recorded
4. Where was it written (if known)/
5. Whats your opinion
Thanks :)

Hmm. I'm thinking Mr. & Mrs. Schumman influenced EACHOTHER?
I'm almost certain because the rhythms of both C. and R. are nearly identical. Perhaps R. is more conservative - whereas C. has a greater folk feel.
With both, the swelling dynamics of the Chopin-esque phrases betray a Romantic inclination.
Maybe the harmonies predict Rachmaninov?

I've heard this before, but I suppose it's because Mrs.Schumann wrote her melody very well.
As the other commentators say, it's very beautiful, and you can clearly see that her husband influenced here well.
Wow! The middle section is divine! Wow!

I AWARD YOU 3 3/4 CLARAS...There are professional long playing ensembles, who have better sonic panache than you.BUT NOT 1/10 OF
THEM HAVE 1/2 YOUR SOUL.YOU NOT
ONLY UNDERSTOOD THIS WORK ON A HUMAN LEVEL,YOU COMMUNICATED IT. I believed this all the way.
