actually with the new contract the producers are proposing, you CAN do some non-union work, that's right! For the first time in history, the SAG union is accepting non-union producers to hop aboard!

When he says union hes talking about SAG. SAG is short for Screen Actors Guild which is a union. Basically theres only 2 Unions for film and that is AFTRA which is specifically TV and Radio and then SAG which is specifically Movies. There may be some intermingling but they are usually seperate.
