  • This was the song REAL TALK

  • This is one powerful song - telling a story in a 3 minute song on such a hidden problem. Love the harmonica as well!

  • mixedmic1 i'm a man also and i think your absolutley right except there is no such thing as a man who hits a woman, because the second he lays a hand on her he is NOT A MAN anymore!! he becomes a worthless, void of meaningless existence who that should be put to an end sorry if thats a bit harsh its tru!!!

  • i was in a vey bad abusive relationship for 5 years it was the hardest 5 years i ever lived and im only 24 years old luckily with the help of friends and family and survivors i am a SURVIVOR and i got out and he is now sitting in jail and i have found the greatest man in my life and my life is now worth it! ladies if you ever that type of relationship please GET OUT its not worth it your to beautiful for it

  • Such a powerful song by two of the best artists in the industry. Love it . . . . . ..

  • In my opinion as a man myself ANY man that beats on a woman is a coward, pathetic, That's the way I was raised and I know I'm not the only one.

  • great song, great artists and great video.

  • Sorry just a bt more.......

And if so, i guess they mean she paid with her life in prison when they said "And she paid with her life for loving that man". Any suggestions?

Just saw that i'm correct. Finally i understand. I always thought that was the case, but without seeing the clip you would think otherwise.

  • well the song itself just addresses the issue of the woman being physically abused by a man whereas the video addresses more( ie., the affect that it has on the child( ren), how many people will ignore the cries for help

  • I have always loved this song, but i've always been a bit confused!

I get that he beats her, but to me, the lyrics imply that she was beaten & lost her life, but then at the end of the clip it shows a body on a stretcher covered in a white sheet & then her being brought out of the apartment block, handcuffed & taken away by the police. So did she end up pushing him out of the window in self defence cos that's what it looks like.

  • i love this song. i usta play it when i was younger. classic.

  • me /criesss ='[

  • This song brings water to my eyes, nearly every time I hear it.

  • it makes ma cry n cry n cry !

  • can someone forward this to Chris Brown!!!

  • and all men that aren'f famous, that there are a lot. He isn't the only that beats a woman.

  • good one

  • one of the most touching songs ever

  • .. a clip by Gary Gray !!! so great ..

  • ooooooo das beste lied das ich je gehört habe offffffffffffffffff

  • i agree my husband was one of them men, and i was also one of them women, yet we have both found eachother, it happends to alot of men , my husbands ex was a terriable woman even took his baby girl away from him, and my husband is bringing up my son the son my ex wouldve killed if i'd had stayed, if you are one of them men or women please get out before it too late, xxx

  • Best wishes to you and your family. I am glad the two of you have found one another.

    Violence is never the answer

  • Please remember women are not always the victim. Men are also victims of domestic violence but socity has placed such a stigma on them reporting abuse against them self. PEOPLE, abuse is abuse regardless of gender, race, religion, or orientation.

  • woderful music I love it most

  • adoro essa música.

  • RIP JAMEKA I wish someone would have known. I love you and I miss you. You will always be remembered. This song always makes me think of her,

  • PT2, and i implore anyone who thinks a relative/friend/neighbour to at least alert the authorities to ur fears for that person cos over half ov the women abused by their spouses end up severely hurt or even worse and its time to take a stand against men like that and take our lives back :) sorry for the bluntness of my post but maybe someone who is being abused in whatever way to finally find the courage to stand up and say NO MORE!

  • can i be blunt with u all plz until u go thru it urself then no1 can truly understand how an abused person feels i went thru it myself for 4 yrs and it took me losing my baby at 17 weeks pregnant to finally wake up and see him for what he was a horrficly twisted and cruel man.

  • Tis is a true story.. About a woman who worked for him.. He never knew what was going on..

  • my favourite song fot all the times! they bothe have amzing voices ..this song makes me cry it tuching my soul deep inside.

  • Stevie Wonder The King!

  • the next guilty person after the abuser its the victim ...no matter how many try to help ...if the victim turns back to the idiot ... there's nothing other ppl can do ...and love dissapears from my opinion..u cant harm the ones u love....

  • this is how i feel about my relationship. i cant take it anymore this song makes me cry everytime i hear it the arging the yelling the abuse it hurts really bad especially if you love that person .

  • Those who just sit there and do nothing are as guilty as the actual abuser themselves.

  • I think most people are afraid to interfere. Not because they are afraid of the abuser but because many times the person being abused turns on them for getting involved.

  • it has happened to me for years i wish people would have stepped in to help.... i always cry at this video

  • It sounds like after all that you came out vitorious. Unfortunately according to this video, she still paid a price.

    What a shame.

  • I agree with koalaStephanie..there is absolutely no excuse for domestic violence..if you get that angry, walk away..no one should be abused, verbally or otherwise..and it truly is a crime..both physically and mentally..

  • nice song

  • one of my favorite song, but i always expected an opposite end of this video

  • There is no excuse for Domestic Violence. Absolutely NO EXCUSE.

  • no words: great song, great artists and great concept (=sendin' an actual message about violence on women).

It should be on the Top Chart of all times!

  • im trying to understand why did the women get arrested?

  • She killed her boyfriend or husband, because she couldn't take the abuse anymore.

  • exactly all the abusers should be punished

  • Wait a freaking minute !!!! Time out !!! I thought she was the one who got killed !! Its a shame she took the final fall. I dont advocate violence but that man deserved to be trashed and wasted the way she bounced him for all those repeated verbal and physical abuse !! There's so much a person can take.

  • I agree with you 100% on this.

  • cos she killed him she chucked him out the window

  • I love this song so much ,this things happen in real life so we must be aware ...try to helf our people...

  • amazing

its one of my favorite songs

  • i love this song

  • SO SAD!....
