@lemans24fan That's actually a costume for a live actor. I just hung it there so you could see what it looked like. Take a look at vid3b to see it with the actor
why is everything so fake? It would be a cute haunted house for little kids, but... why is there no real people? Was it just you setting this up? I loved it, but still it could use some real people. Especially, you could have saved a lot of money (on your car insurance) from using real actors.
@Maloneyd00d There are live actors, just not in the video. This was all setup by myself. I'm glad you liked it! Also remember you're watching the lights on version so it's not the same as walking through in the dark. Take a look at my 2010 video if you're looking for something with more scares...
@joshdedede98 This years haunt will have a jigsaw puppet on the bike, but not an entire bathroom scene. Unfortunately I don't have that kind of space!
@joeyd1013 that's what I thought I could tell the way the cubeacals was set up. Good work man very good how long did you spend seting it up I would hire you to do my outside haunted house in the future
@ASYLUM227 Thanks! All of the info regarding setup can be found in the video description. It was a ton of work, but worth it! Check out my 2010 haunt video to see an even larger haunt I created...
@ASYLUM227 This was done on a vacant floor of the office building I used to work in. The 2010 haunt (video in my channel) was even larger and done inside an empty store!
@ravenindigo A lot but not as much as you might think. I'm a bargain shopper that does most shopping in the off season (which is when you get the best deals...) Working at a Halloween store and having friends at other stores helps too!
@hauntedhouser13 That guy is the Animated Zombie Chinup Prop by Spirit Halloween. I understand it's been sold out since 2008 but you might be able to find is used. It's a great prop but the downside is he's only sound activated - no motion sensor...
@GoodWitchen If you didn't see it yet, there's a video of the 2009 haunt. The plans for this year are still up in the air but whatever I do will be posted here!
@the5chronicles It did look really good in the dark. Unfortunately, the lights off version of the video is too dark so you cant see much. It's "Vid 1" in case you're interested!
I instantly fell in love with this haunt! I have a ton of props and a ton of Halloween materials; costumes, make-up, etc. I want to start up my own attraction but I have nowhere to do it at.
@CradleofFear333 Thanks for the kind words! Location is always the big issue with these things. Keep looking around throughout the year. If you had asked me 5 years ago if I would be setting up a haunt at my job I would have laughed...
@ziegerka I don't have an exact total since I've been collecting for years, but it's not cheap! If you shop around and buy stuff after Halloween for the following year, you can save a lot of money...
I have seen "professional" haunted houses that didn't have props anywhere near what you have.
The electric chair ending was well done, I am sure everyone assumed it was done by animatronic? LOL, Classic haunt prank! There is a F.C.G. version of this trick that is fun like that too.
It is a typical movement and set up of a Flying Crank Ghost, but this was a PVC and wire "puppet", about 4' over the actors head, who was dressed in a face shielding robe. The people would say, I've seen that a million times, and then it would come rushing at them with very startling effects. The actor would bend at the waist causing the ghost to swoop down on them quickly.
It got me and I never get blind sided in a haunted house like that. But I think your electric chair would have got me too.
The response is that the "victims", who are accustomed to seeing the Flying Crank Ghost(FCG), will see the marionette and assume it is another typical FCG (they typically all operate the same). When the FCG suddenly swoops at them, it gets them running for the next room. Often the FCG is just looked at and oohed and aahed over.
It is a really awesome rig..... look the FCG up on youtube and see it and, if you already have, never-mind :p
Absolutely awesome props!! You have all of the things that I really want...some I have but not all. Halloween is my favorite holiday by far! I really enjoyed this video!
Great job! We do a haunted house at my office also. Until 2006 we did it in the conference room and then in the hallways. In 2007 we moved to the warehouse and built some walls. How did your coworkers react?
the prop at 8:20 could use some stuffing. just a helpful hint from one haunter to another. :)

This is great!!!, but who got to see your wonderful creation? Do you do ALL THIS for your coworkers or is it open to the public?
CenterStCemetery 2 years ago
@CenterStCemetery It was only for coworkers, family and friends. Basically they got a free haunt and in exchange, I got a free location.

Yeah, I definitely have a lot of stuff. It's all the years of collecting!
Thanks - the electric chair scene was definitely a favorite with the guests. The chair was created by Tortured Products (a new business of mine!)
Whats the FCG version?

HauntedHouseNut 3 years ago
The response from my coworkers was great! The company posted signs and advertised the haunt in the weekly company newsletter.
This year I hope to take the haunt to a new level and do something outside of the work environment...
